Modification Help / Re: blb to OBJ or MDL?
« on: May 24, 2018, 08:18:15 PM »To do this, you'll need Blender and BLB2OBJ or BLS2OBJ, which are found right in Demian's DataOrb Blockland folder.Thats even better, and the videos on my channel are side projects, this is gonna be something this community will enjoy.. A lot i hope.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make your OBJ and export it properly.
IMPORTING
1. Extract whichever one of the utilities you need (you might need both) into a folder.
2. BLB2OBJ; give it some BLBs, whether default or not. If you need default bricks, you might want to copy the library folder from BLS2OBJ into the folder of BLB2OBJ.
BLS2OBJ; give it some BLSes. If they use non-default bricks, you'll have to add the BLBs of the bricks you need into the utility's library folder.
3. Drag your BLB or BLS to the respective utility. It should create an OBJ.
FIXING
You will most likely need to fix your bricks for them to have correct shading and to not be inverted. This is where you'll need Blender.
4. Open Blender, get past the splash screen.
5. Remove the cube and import your OBJ.
6. Select your import and go into Edit Mode.
7. Go into the UV Mapping section, and do Set From Faces and Flip Direction.
8. Export your finished, properly lighted product as whatever format you need that Blender can export to.
