I hope he doesn't fire him just so we get to see Mueller suck his own tongue out his starfish when he has to come out and tell everyone Annoying Orange is clean. It's gonna be like gargling is own stuff and piss having to say those words to the public. Glorious.

He is likely just waiting around until the dems retake the house/senate. Then he's going to close the investigation, call it a success, and levy some incredibly petty, extremely mundane charges utterly unrelated to Russia against Annoying Orange. Then the dems will take that and run an impeachment attempt with it.

If Annoying Orange fires him, the dems will simply use that as an excuse.

The only ways Annoying Orange gets out of this setup is if the Repubs maintain control and destroy any hope of the investigation to simply stall, OR an investigation is launched into the corruption of the Russia investigation.

At least thats how I see this going.

also i thought conservatives were the ones who supported businesses being able to decide for themselves what to allow...? unless you arent a conservative and are a libertarian or something.

The official, non-hypocritical standpoint (as I understand it), requires that you first understand the difference between a public company and a private company.

Public companies are more or less owned by their stockholders, in some cases these can be the people in charge of said company (see Steve Jobs); however as public companies they are beholden to far more restrictions on what rights they can and cannot restrict and what standards they have to adhere to for their staff and consumers.

Private companies are owned by individuals, usually just one fellow (the boss). These companies are not beholden to the public will, and can therefore do a lot more of whatever they want as far as consumer and employee restrictions go; they still have to adhere to some basic decency laws, but are more free to self determine.

The big tech giants are all public companies. The argument is that given that these companies are publically traded, and that they provide what could be described as a "public forum"... This means that freedom of speech cannot be infringed or censored in such an environment. And it means that they should not be removing opposing viewpoints or trying to police opinions.

Meanwhile private companies should have all the freedoms to self determine what they will and will not tolerate within their confines. The idea being that general market forces will keep them in line.

....

I imagine there's also probably something related to monopolistic power somewhere in there as well; but I wouldn't know.

There's an interesting post by Badspot somewhere talking about his take on the issue that might be interesting food for thought if you wanted some other ways to look at things.

Gamer wisdom right here, we need more gamers in congress and in the police force.

There was an amusing study a while back comparing response time and firearm accuracy between trained police officers and gamers who had never used weapons before irl. It found that the gamers were vastly superior to police in both fields.

I think, Zealot, that the assumption was *missing classes... with zero consequences*.

I dunno if your school represents the response of all schools.

I wonder how many people walked out just to avoid class for 7 minutes.

To the best of my knowledge, the reason the M16 is semi/burst is because during the Vietnam era the weapon was fully automatic. As it turns out, this made it wildly ineffective. They had to restrict the weapons to burst/semi because the soldiers using the weapons were annihilating their ammo supply more than the enemy.

This is also an amusing argument to claim that automatic weapons are safer than semi-automatic weapons, if you wanted to be cheeky about it.

Another amusing little aside, is this gem of a situation. Which seems to suggest that even machineguns aren't sufficient for large game hunting.

wow i didnt realize liking a persons specific policies on an issue made you align with them 100% on all other issues thanks guys
is everything black and white to you? seriously?

Uhh, what do you think it means to say you like a lot of someone elses policies? Do you think it means they mostly disagree with the individuals platform or mostly align with the individuals platform?

Maybe my reading comp isn't as good as yours and I'm missing something here, but you could have just clarified that trudeau has a bunch of objectively agreeable policies? (IDK if this is true or not. I know nothing about Canada).

what...what is this even trying to convey

It appears to be an edit of a comic by Ben Garrison, I'm not sure if it is supposed to be satirical or not, you never really know when dealing with these sorts of things.

Here is the original:

this is amazing lmao

I was originally just going to write it as a sort of "matter of fact" story, but then I decided to get a bit more creative with it. Glad you liked it!

The following story is based on an actual situation that happened about 7 years ago (I think):

Once upon a time there was a blockhead named Kalphiter; he was so great that any server he hosted just /had/ to be the very best. If it wasn't, he'd stuff talk all the others, being sure to visit and break them if he could.

Flash forward a few years and that arrogant starfish Ry was building a thing in his server at the same time our hero Kalphiter was hosting some party server. It was pretty popular, his party (I think it might have been new years?); but it wasn't as popular as he wanted. He just couldn't figure out why everyone wasn't playing in his server, but then he got the answer he was looking for. Some blithering imbosile came into his server (according to Kalphiter) and came to pull his friend into Ry's, pulling other players in tow! "Unacceptable!" He shouted at the top of his lungs and immediately left in search of this horrible server.

See, it seems that while Ry was just casually working on one of his never finished projects, enough players had joined and annoyed him so much that he had to setup an impromptu default mini-game. He hobbled and slapped it together in under 30 minutes and went back to his work; but somehow, inexplicably, this steaming pile of stuff (so Kalphiter calls it) had attracted more players than his highest quality server! Fuming with calm (and not rage, as some would call it) Kalphiter immediately stampeded his way into Ry's server, just to tell him how stuffty and ugly he was, and how terrible everything he'd ever worked on was, before bragging about his own server in toe. But it was far worse than Kalphiter had imagined, upon spawning in he found that he was surrounded by multichromatic cubes in a massive arena; towers spilled about, it looked like someone had just thrown it together in like 30 minutes! Despite this there were tanks, spears, pushbrooms, and all sorts of shenanigan weaponry. The goal of this abomination (as kalphiter called it) was to press a series of buttons scattered about the map more times than anyone else, the buttons in the middle were worth more points than those on the edges.

Somehow, without any logic behind it whatsoever, this hastily thrown together assembly was beating his very best of the best server in popularity! Clearly everyone in the server was a total idiot, and Kalphiter made sure to let them all know too! He didn't hang around too long though, as he couldn't find a way to break the server and get everyone to come to his; and after verbally assaulting Ry and getting no reply, he left to attend to his server.

TL;DR: I hosted a server in which I was building a thing, but enough people joined that I had to keep them entertained, so I threw together a minigame in about 30 minutes that somehow attracted more people than Kalphiter had in his extravaganza or whatever; and he apparently felt the need to stuffpost my server, which was exceptionally amusing considering the effort I had put into it.

Happy Birthday Kalphiter, have fun with Blockland 2, I'm sure you'll finish it eventually; just like you finished that Blockland Cloud project of yours to compete with RTB. It really was something ;3

Belongs in suggestions and requests. Not off-topic.

I've never seen the Roblox Sword or Roblox Rocket launcher add-ons before, Nor have I ever seen BLood'N'Bodies. I have seen Cashmod, but yes, the mod is exceptionally outdated; I don't have any of these I'm afraid.
