Troy is free to keep for the day of launch (today, 8/13)
seems like a decently ok game compared to Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2
but free is a great way to start playing total war games

just recently got into total war: warhammer 2
it's pretty cool, great mix of the best parts of games like civ and age of empires

humble store sale also means even cheaper if doing humble monthly things as well

sale is for another 3.5 days

if you're new to it, i'd highly recommend getting both warhammer 1 and 2, since 1 will add its content to a giant map to play in 2
also note that it's mostly a 2 player game if doing coop, but quite fun solo

Off Topic / Windows 10 Desktop Issues

curious if anybody else has been experiencing these
I'm suspecting it's a windows 10 issue, that happens once in a while, or if it's from something else


the icons on the desktop were fine at boot, but then after a while blackscreened for a moment to update the desktop icons to be gigantic
changing the size of the icons with right clicking the desktop, selecting view, and then an icon size does not fix the issue

at other times it spreads out the icons as if there were that large, but while retaining their normal size
ie the size of the grid expands, but the icons don't
in this case the size of the grid stayed the same, while the size of the icons grew

edit: rebooting does seem to fix the issue, unless it blackscreens and messes it up again

Modification Help / Rotating Vectors

is it possible to not use trig to rotate unit vectors equally around the origin (0, 0, 0) such that vector A will end up being (1, 0, 0)?
I mostly care about the end result of vector B from it

what I was thinking of is using vector A as a basis (with itself in it's own grid being (1, 0, 0)) to try and scale everything from that
that way when I find vector B in terms of vector A's coordinate grid, it would be the end desired result

so yeah, kind of forgotten to eat for the past three days
but juice is amazing with tons of sugar in it

I'm kind of surprised I don't have a headache yet, normally that's how I figure out I'm actually hungry

personally I prefer grape juice or crangrape, but used to like orange juice
