Off Topic / Cellular signal strength

Why is it that I can load Internet pages and send/receive messages with even just one bar of LTE, but can't loving connect to anything with full bars of 4G? I'm on a road trip and this stuff is pissing me off. Isn't 4G only one step below LTE in terms of bitrate and such?

Off Topic / Photobucket keeps doing weird crap

Recently, Photobucket has been doing strange things whenever I visit it. About a week ago, a pop up for some kind of computer checkup software would appear whenever I went to the upload page, and I would always close the pop up very quickly. It would actually appear in a new window, so I guess Adblock Plus couldn't do much about it.

Now, it's doing this stuff on every page and after each refresh, and I keep canceling it. (Images attached below)

I'm wondering if I should be worried about this, and if so, what other image hosting service should I use instead?

Oh, and, I'm not going to accept "use a better browser" as an answer, because that's just garbage.

Off Topic / Forum help. Can I disable guests in Who's Online?

I went to look over the Who's Online area, and it's FULL of guest activity. I don't care about what they're doing, they can't post or anything, so I'm wondering if there's a way to only view registered user activity to reduce the clutter.

Help / Deleting faces and decals

If I go to my BL Add-On Program Files and delete a face, and I encounter someone ingame that use the face I deleted, do I still see it, does it appear blank, or does it just look like a default Blocko face? I have accumulated few rather annoying and/or poorly made faces that I really don't like seeing, and I just wanna know. I know prints just appear blank if I don't have them.

Help / Raising damage for weapons?

I have an add-on called the G11, I want to use it for a TDM but the damage is quite low for its rate of fire. I want to balance it out a bit, to make it a bit more formidable, but I don't wish to make all the players simply have less health, because then other weapons would still be preferred to this G11. I have a feeling that raising the RoF would make the projectiles not match the firing animation for the weapon, so I want to just change the damage for each projectile. I assume that I go to Program Files, then Blockland, then Add-Ons, but Windows can't open some of the files.

Off Topic / Forum Posting Glitch

Whenever I make a long post here(and any other forum like this, I assume), when the scroll bar on the right side of the "Message:" box appears, if I click on some of the text near or at the bottom, the scroll bar in the "Message:" box goes up, either by just a few lines or back to the top. I can still preview, spell check, and post, but stuff at the bottom can't be edited. I've searched for a solution on the Internet and the BL Forums just in case, but have come up with nothing useful or relevant to my solving problem. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Help / Blockland opens twice?

Whenever I run Blockland, two windows appear at the same time. I am not double clicking it. It doesn't appear to cause any problems, but it's still really annoying.

Games / Issues with Source games(Left 4 Dead, Half-Life 2, Garry's Mod)

I have a a really troublesome problem with the games I have purchased from Steam. Randomly, my game will freeze and the sound will stutter for about 10 to 15 seconds, then it goes back to playing without the sound stuttering. Very rarely this causes a crash, and even rarer a Blue Screen, but almost all the time one of three things will happen...

One, textures will get changed to really weird colors or patterns. One time my MP7 in HL2 had a grass texture all over it, other times it looks like concrete, and sometimes it just turns pink or something. It's not just my weapon. Buildings, cars, NPCs, items, the ground, and the skybox will get their own textures and colors forgeted up too.

The second thing that may happen is that a random game texture will cover my screen. For example, about an hour ago I was playing Left 4 Dead 2, and when this happened, a texture file completely obscured my HUD and sight with what looked like various blood and bullet hole images. One time it was a Charger face skin, which scared the forget out of me when it unfroze.

The third thing that might happen, with a very low chance, is that nothing will appear to change, but my game will drop significantly in framerate. What I currently do to fix these things is Alternate+Control+Delete, which opens task manager and minimises whatever game I'm playing, close task manager, and maximise my window. The textures will go back to normal and I can continue playing.

But this temorary fix takes about 30 seconds to do, which could very easily lead to my incapacitation or death in an online Left 4 Dead campaign, and thus I pretty much never play online anymore. In single player this is very annoying, but not really a problem because I can just press Escape to pause my game when it freezes. I'd still like to find a permanent solution to it, however.

So, any ideas? I've already done the reinstall Steam thing and all my games. I don't have any add-ons or mods for any games, other than that M1 Garand in Garry's Mod that needs Day of Defeat: Source.

Off Topic / A pair of headphones/set/whatever that won't loving break

I'm looking to buy a very durable, around-ear, and preferably noise canceling headset, I don't care about the price as long as they'll last a good long time. My last headphones were the AblePlanet Clear Harmony, the ones before that were the Plantronics GameCom 777. They're made out of seemingly tough plastic, but after a while certain delicate parts wore out, with the GameCom it was the part where the earpieces move around, on the Clear Harmony it was the swivel part. I won't complain if they're stiff, heavy, or ugly as long as they don't need to be replaced within a year of use.

Also, a built-in mic would be nice, though not needed.

Help / Nothing submitted in the past five days?

Mod Manager is telling me that nothing has been put up on RTB in the past five days, yet I'm sure there has been something, like that WWII decal pack or whatever. Is this intended, is this a bug on my part, or is it in the game?

Help / Unable to load shape KeyA

Often I join a server and this error comes up. I assume the Key is one of the recently added Key items, which should be in my game by default. In my Add-ons folder there is an Item_Key folder with four Key files, (A/B/C/D) as well as a Black25 file and a Black50 file. Is there anything missing? I don't wish to disable shapes loading, unless there is no other way to fix this.

"An error occurred while performing your search. Please try again shortly" is what I get 35% of the time I search for art, it should not be this frequent. Maybe if there was an actual problem with their website, or if they were doing updates, it wouldn't be so bad. But when you type in "ART" on DeviantART, and they say they can't find anything, that's bullstuff.

My Blockland freezes every time I attempt to join a server with this music on it. It gets to about 5% to 8% of the loading bar for the music add-on, and everything stops. I've let it sit there for about 45 minutes, but judging by how the first 10% looked like it would have been loaded within a couple seconds makes me think that I should not have needed to wait that long, even if it didn't freeze. I already searched the forum, one search found "Witch Encroacher" and the other "WitchEncroacher." The first one DLed, but it didn't help the problem within the game. The second one could not be DLed, so I'm not sure it's the one I need. I restarted my computer, tried again, didn't work, and now I'm making this topic.
