Rightrightrightrightright.
This was very likely the scariest, most realistic dream I have ever had. It really felt like I was there.
Forgive spelling and grammatik errors, just woke up really.

In the dream I was traveling by bus from like the outskirts of Stockholm, looking out through the windows of the bus. Everything is nice and summery, and since we're near the largest airport in Sweden a lot of planes fly by overhead. SUDDENLY though, another plane flies over us, only this one flies incredibly fast, pretty low, and with black smoke tailing behind it all across the sky. I shout in disbelief and crane my neck to see it in the blind spot of the roof of the bus, and when it has turned around, it comes back, very fast and still smoking.

Now, though, the plane explodes.
It explodes in a horrible mess of small metal pieces, all burning heavily, and comes falling down towards the ground. All cars on the highway panics, including the bus, and I can feel the bus accelerating a lot.
You can then hear an incredibly large metallic bang.

After that there's a "cut," I guess, where we reach a small town.
I exit the bus and go looking around. Many frightened people are scattered around and I wonder what's going on.
Apparently, the plane was fully fueled with "Abraxonol" or whatever, a dream brand. I looked at a map with the blast radius on it, and it was basically going to engulf the entirety of the immediate vicinity. My parents and I jump in our car (they met me there apparently) and start speeding along the highway to get out of reach for the blast, and things start to calm down, we start chatting calmly about how mom will never fly again now, etc.

When all the cars on the highway ahead of us suddenly gets lifted in to the air.
I shout "OH forget" (or something along those lines) when our car gets slung into the air as well by the massive shockwave from the blast, which sounded like an atomic bomb. And the feeling of realistic weightlessness was what woke me up with a jerk.

tl;dr: I saw a plane crash while on a bus, realized the plane was going to explode and attempted to get out of the blast radius when it did explode. Please read the whole thing, though. I spend time writing this for some reason.

Games / Need help with Skyrim - Mods not loading properly
« on: April 23, 2013, 04:10:31 PM »
Alright, I had a problem a couple of weeks ago, which had me re-installing Steam.
However, when doing this I installed it in a different folder than previously, in Program Files x86 this time, rather than Program Files.

Now, of course I simply transferred my SteamApps folder to the new location, and it worked perfectly for most games.
Skyrim included. Vanilla.
But when I tried starting it via Nexus Mod Manager most of the mods didn't work, even after updating everything, including Skyrim Script Extender.
Some mods did work, such as SkyUI, and Alternative Start (which had no subtitles or voices, so it was broken as well, I guess).

I have tried mostly everything;
  • Restarting Nexus several times.
  • Unloading and reloading all mods.
  • Saving the game vanilla and restarting with mods.
  • Saving the game with mods and reloading that save.
  • Probably more that I've forgotten.

Now, I don't expect you to solve this issue for me, but if anyone has experienced anything similar previously, or has extended knowledge about Skyrim modding, that would be amazing. I'm going to try every suggestion, I reckon. If a person can provide me with a solution that works I would be very happy.

I have the following mods installed:
-Tales of Lycantrophy.
-Alternate Start
-SkyUI
-WATER & WATER Plants
-StaticMeshImprovementMod
-All officisal high res texture packs
-TRO BasicNeeds

Thanks in advance.

PS: If I missed some critical info in OP, sorry. I'll post it when requested.

Off Topic / Oh dear, I've animated again, haven't I?
« on: April 04, 2013, 06:11:45 AM »
No but seriously, this is an animation I've been working on for some time now. It was meant to play in the background in a play performed by the "school of culture" or whatever you'd translate it to. And it did. Very nicely. But anyway, uploading videos is fun so I slapped some MacLeod on it and here it is.

The animation itself depicts some bridges and buildings dilapidating after a huge natural disaster.
And although it's not as long or eventful as it could've been, I still think it's pretty neat.

Please do watch it.

Games / Need help with old game: The Movies - Stunts and Effects
« on: May 06, 2012, 06:18:23 AM »
Well, I thought it was time to trip some nostalgia and install some old games. So I dug up The Movies and it's expansion pack.
But as I installed it it became painfully obvious that the disc actually lacked one file.
It's a .pak file, and approximately 500mb in size. It's gone from the, worth noting: extremely clean and neat, disc.

I tried copying it to my hard drive, but it can't.
So I'm just going to ask it here, since there is no one else with this problem it seems.

Does someone have this game and can send me the file in question?
I already have the game, and even if I didn't, the file wouldn't be playable, so no piracy involved.

Please?

Games / Sleep is Death [REPOST] - Do whatever you want.
« on: March 20, 2012, 02:27:56 PM »
Well, this is an exact repost of the last topic I made about this.
That one slipped by unnoticed, and I still want to play this with someone.

Sleep is Death

About:
Sleep is death is an independent game.
It's different to all other games because this one allows you to do whatever you want.
How does that work, you say?

Well, this is a two player only game. One player plays as the controller and the other one, simply plays as the player. The controller's task is to fulfill the players wishes in game by drawing them.

Example of controller:
Say you give your player the sprite of an old man that is included with the game.
You don't like his eye colour though.
So you edit the sprite to give him green eyes. You then use the room editor to make a living room. Your player's sprite spawns in the couch. You place an NPC there, his wife.
You edit her speech bubble to say "I'm getting hungry, dear."

You also give them a Christmas tree.

Example of player:
Your character spawns in a couch in a living room. Your char's wife tells you that she is getting hungry.
You can choose either you want to go to the kitchen and prepare supper, or light fire to the bloody tree.
If your twisted, sick mind tells you, "LIGHT THE TREE DAMMIT!" then the controller must draw a sprite of fire and place it on the tree. It is burning.

You get 30 seconds each. The controller must edit speech bubbles and sprites and rooms and the player must write his characters speech, move him around and write verbs to interact.

Result? Insane stories!

I must admit, although fun, this game is different. A lot of people wont like it!
Please, don't spam this topic telling us that! It's unique. We know!

Also, did I mention it's "pay what you want"?

To conclude, it's a fun, although different experience. Give it a try!
I want to play with someone. None of my friends like games, only sports. :C

Games / Any good WWII flying games?
« on: March 20, 2012, 02:23:01 PM »
My dad is kind of new to any kind of computer games, however he'd like to try some WW2 flight games.
So I'm just wondering if there are any good games matching these criteria:

  • Must be a WWII flight game.
  • Preferably not a super advanced simulator.
  • Mustn't be an arcade, casual game either.
  • Must be able fly English and German planes.
  • Preferably primary a dogfighting game, not a bomb plane game.

So, if there are any you know of, please just post a link here and I'll tip him off.
This may finally get him to play games!

Forum Games / Let's write lost-episode creepypasta!
« on: January 17, 2012, 10:20:21 AM »
Okay, we all know how these always end up, how silly they become, and no matter how promising they appear, they really forget up in the end, like:

"So Spongebob gauged his eyes out and grabbed A CHAINSAW and SLICED Patrick into smitheroons!!! TRUE STORY!"

Really, all creepypasta in the entire genre of lost episode pretty much sucks. So can we do any better?

What you do is, as you probably figured out by now, we write a pasta. It can be really silly but try to keep it at least somewhat sane.

Rules:
  • Blend with the above users post.
  • Stay within one fictional or non-fictional TV-series or movie. Or comic, book, record or McDonalds's Happy Meal.
  • Do not start a new pasta until it feels neccesary.
  • Please, please, take this at least a little seriously. It's supposed to be silly, but it's funnier if you don't ruin it with "then everyone raped Bart and they ate spaghetti!

Have fun and let's cook some delicious creepy-pasta!

Kickstart:

Hello.
What I am about to tell you may sound unlikely. You will think I am lying.
But ALL of this is true, no matter how terribly weird it does sound.

It all began when I was at this garage sale.
I am a big fan of the show Simpsons. I was therefor very glad when I saw a bundle of collectors edition boxes all taped together for the price of 5 bucks. I bought it and went home to unpack the stuff I bought.
When I picked the boxes up I saw a piece of paper sticking out from between them, and after removing the tape it was clear that the paper was in fact a paper DVD case. The DVD in it was labeled SE9757-DnW.

Puzzeled, I put the disc in my computers CD slot...

Creativity / Flash animation! "GLaDOS ascent."

I have spent one weekend making this video.
Sorry for the occasional lags, it happened during export, and after a couple of retries I realized it wanted to stay like that.
Anyways, 1:20 minutes of happiness for Portal fans, and probably some for the non-Portal fans.

Pretty spoiler free.
Enjoy and comment or something. c:

Creativity / Banana's Hand Drawn Animations
« on: May 15, 2011, 04:13:10 PM »
Yay, three stop-motion videos made only with paper and a lead pencil.
All of these were done today and yesterday.
I'm slightly too lazy to do the right thing and change the paper each frame, redrawing everything.
I think it looks fine the way it is.

Constructive criticism and suggestions welcome.
