Off Topic / SinnerOG becomes a country music superstar
« on: May 08, 2016, 02:18:35 PM »
Graduating from my 2-year college this month and deciding to say forget it to school. I am devoting my time and effort into becoming a quote on quote, "country music superstar." While I can't play fiddle, guitar, or spoons, those will come with time.

First song so far:

Sitting on a pier,
Waiting for a fish.
Sippin' on my beer,
The thing tastes delish.

I think I got a big bite,
So let's reel him in.
Sippin' on my beer,
Catchin' some fish.

Got a corn-fed belle,
In my pickup truck.
She wants some fun,
I think I found some luck.

Foggin' up them windows,
Blarin' some Hank,
She wants to go muddin',
My Dodge Cummins™ is a tank.

When you guys see me on TV, just know I won't forget BLF.

Off Topic / Walleye Tournament
« on: May 07, 2016, 10:50:01 PM »
Not really sure if anyone goes fishing or not, but this weekend I participated in the local walleye tournament.

I caught a decent sized walleye last night around 1 AM. Length was 21 1/4 in, Girth was 10 1/4 in, Weight was 3lbs, 3oz. Was on 2nd place in the tournament at the time, only matched by a 23 in walleye. The tournament is open till Sunday at 3pm EST. Today, I was knocked out of the Top 25 list, haha. It's all in good fun anyway. I went back out fishing afterwards and caught a smaller 19 in walleye and a huge ass sheepshead.

I was not able to get a picture of the sheepshead caught, but it was very similar to the one pictured below. Funny thing is, the sheepshead below was also caught on the same lake, according to Google.

Off Topic / Tech support scammer tackles Windows 98
« on: May 06, 2016, 02:45:49 AM »

Our friendly Indian tech support guy, Jeff, does not know how to respond to Windows 98. What's hysterical about these is the stuffty accent these guys try to pull off. Their answer to everything is "Shut down your computer!"

Off Topic / Decided to start up Pokemon Blue...
« on: May 05, 2016, 10:31:29 PM »
I got the itch to play some Gen 1 Pokemon, haven't played in a long time. I usually play Yellow or Red, but I decided to play Blue. I also always pick Charmander, but this playthrough I decided on Squirtle. Usually I play with whatever Pokemon I like, but this time around, I'm going to try and build a competitive team. Thinking Alakazam, Exeggutor, Chansey, etc.

Level 21 Squirtle
Level 14 Bellsprout (Just caught)
Level 21 Nidoking
Level 8 Abra (Just caught)

This is my team so far, just reached Cerulean and defeated the nigglet nugget bridge.

Off Topic / Guy humiliates online predators
« on: May 04, 2016, 01:42:46 AM »
So, there is this guy with a YouTube channel, Anxiety War, who poses as young teenagers in an attempt to catch predators. There are a few videos on his channel with him catching and exposing them.

Here's a video where he catches an old creep:

His account recently got banned by YouTube but was appealed and reinstated.

Off Topic / Sony Flash Sale: Bought LBP3
« on: April 24, 2016, 11:17:42 PM »
Sony just had a Flash Sale that ends tomorrow on "Action Games & Movies." I took the initiative to purchase two copies of LBP3, one for my girlfriend and one for myself. I've never played any of the games in the series and was told it is a good coop game for couples. I know she enjoyed Kirby Epic Yarn and Rayman on Wii and I'm hoping this has a similar feel, mechanics wise.

Games / How do you guys make a game fun again?
« on: March 31, 2016, 12:15:50 AM »
When you have beaten a game so many times, and know it like the back of your hand, how do you make it fun again? These games will forever be in my top 10 favorite games, however I struggle every time I try and replay them. I struggle to stay interested as I ALWAYS know what is coming and what to expect:

Super Mario World
Legend of Zelda: OOT

I tend to make it halfway through the game and then put it down. It's hard because a couple months later, I'll get the urge to play them again, and then repeat the cycle. I am getting that urge again lately to play OOT, however I am telling myself not to play it in hopes that when I do decide to play it, I will find more entertainment once more and not quit when I reach the Forest Temple.

Games / Video Games to play with your non-gaming significant other
« on: February 10, 2016, 12:49:50 AM »
My girlfriend and I both have PS4's but we could also play low-requirement PC games.

We play Minecraft and Castle Crasher's together. Any other good co-op/2-player video games for couples?

Is Counter Strike: Global Offensive pay to win? I'm considering buying this game. I'm just wondering if this game is pay to win. Does anyone on here play the game?

Off Topic / Shot my first deer
« on: October 01, 2015, 11:59:38 PM »
I shot my first deer this morning with a compound bow. It is a button buck, but I thought it was just a doe at first. It's a lil one, but the venison will be tender. Gotta feed the family. Anyone else hunt?

Off Topic / Just got back from an interview
« on: August 10, 2015, 02:57:50 PM »
I just came home from a job interview. I applied for a small town grocery store. I got the job on site. :P

I also just put in my two week notice at my old season job. Kinda awkward, aha.

Off Topic / Which anime should I watch next?
« on: August 02, 2015, 02:10:38 AM »
I've watched FMA, FMA Brotherhood, Baka and Test, Death Note, Angel Beats, SAO: Season 1, Afro Samurai, most Studio Ghibli films, etc. I prefer anime that tends to be more serious, mostly. Too much humor and I lose interest in the main character and have a hard time taking him/her seriously. My friends suggest I watch Sekirei. I think I want to start watching Attack on Titan. Your opinions?

You just drink the holy water and all your debts disappear XDDD
