Off Topic / I'm coming out of the closet.
« on: April 01, 2014, 01:38:42 PM »
I really needed a place to get this off my chest. Therapy didn't help, as I felt violated by my therapist and vowed to never return to that wretched clinic.

I enjoy big black roosters in my brown town cavities. I am a homoloveual. My deep hatred for homoloveuals came from a part of me that is disgusted at myself, so I took my hatred out on others to make myself feel better. I apologize for anyone whom I've offended or hurt by these methods, and wish that we may become friends, or even closer.

Straight people are like the devil to me, but I tried so long to belong as to not make my heavily-religious parents disown me. Surely you people must see that I had no choice but to do these things until I could make my own in the world.

This has literally been one of the hardest things I have ever tried to say. Me and my boyfriend have already made arrangements to move away from this immensely prejudiced environment. He says everything will be fine once my parents are out of the picture. I hope this is the truth.

To recap; I am a homoloveual zoophile. Deal with it

Thank you for your compassion and understanding,

These warnings don't appear while browsing blockland.us, and it appears as if this isn't the only website falsely blacklisted. This also occurs on devices browsing with Opera Mini.
Apparently to fix this, the webmaster would have to contact support@search.yandex.com or somehow make contact with them in order to report this as a false positive.

Help / Computer hangs whenever I start Blockland in fullscreen
« on: August 09, 2012, 11:04:27 PM »
About one sixth of the bottom of my screen keeps flashing black every few seconds, while the system speaker beeps. Completely unsure why this happens only when fullscreen is enabled during startup, but I can keep replicating the error, and have attached a console.log of when the error had occurred. It's not the refresh rate, I play all my other games at 75Hz, and experience no issues with them.
Changing my prefs to disable fullscreen is a fix, but I would prefer Blockland to start up in fullscreen instead of me having to enable it every time.

« on: March 10, 2012, 02:18:11 AM »
yes this is about my research folders

my other folders have a combined total of 203 files in 28.6MB
Just a compelling statistic, this was gathered in a span of 2 weeks from a variation of both pixiv and e621 plus some other sites I can't remember
i know there are at least 37 flash documents in there somewhere

does anyone else think I have a problem?

also itt gloat about research folder sizes

Off Topic / My first experience with *Chromium; possibly my last.
« on: March 08, 2012, 09:37:11 AM »
I installed Chromium (the open source version of chrome) to see how it would fare on my laptop, as it was on the Ubuntu Software Centre as one of the "recommended" applications. It was a 20MB download. Not much at all. After the install it takes up ~100MB. That's more than Firefox's 67.3MB.

When I started it up, I noticed it started a lot more faster than Firefox would ever...until I tried accessing something. It would be stuck at "Waiting for cache..." and freeze here for about 10 seconds. Firefox only freezes every 6 seconds if there's something complex on the page (stuffty processor,) but once it was done "preparing the cache," I was on the internet.

Loading web pages seems faster, only because everything, and I mean EVERY GODDAMN THING is cached, and if you have a slow drive (30MB/s read 14MB/s write here,) well you'll browse the internet slower than Internet Explorer.

So I went on some of my favorite websites. They seemed to load fast the first time around. Having multiple tabs open apparently hurts this processor to the point where the Desktop Manager closes for some forgeted up reason (possibly just Ubuntu being Ubuntu and me loving stuff up) when I have 4 or more tabs open at once. Not sure if it's my swapfile or something else.

Assured that it was my processor, I kept browsing. Speedtest with Chromium reported 10Mb/s while
Firefox reported 14Mb/s (promised speed from ISP.) Clearly one deals better with flash than the other, as even when I installed the flash plugin, it seemed that it didn't like flash, as when I ran a flash applet, every goddamn page would break after 4 seconds of it being open ("Aw snap!" error) until I reset the computer.
I'll probably never use it again, I have uninstalled it from my system and deleted the setup files. I would recommend this browser provided you have a fast drive to use it off of, and a semi-decent operating system or linux build. The actual Google Chrome is much faster than this hunk of stuff. Don't download it.

Hardware performed on:
Intel Pentium M (III class) 1.78GHz
1GB DDR2 533MHz
Intel i915GM Onboard Graphics (16MB)
16GB USB Flash Drive (30MB/s read, 14MB/s write)
Broadcom 4318 Wireless LAN a/b/g @ 36Mb/s on Mini-PCI
Up-to-date Ubuntu 11.10

I'm just wondering because I'm getting a consistent 300+ ms ping to anywhere. Is it my ISP being a friend again, or is anyone else experiencing it?

Off Topic / Should I upgrade to 64-bit Windows XP or Windows 7?
« on: November 20, 2011, 07:53:12 PM »
If I'm able to at the end of the month, I'm going to install a 64-bit OS for my computer, as I wish to ditch 32-bit Windows XP.
I was just wondering if I should lose a bit of functionality (functionality I scarcely use, but at times is still very useful,) and install Windows 7, or keep the functionality and install 64-bit XP.
I have checked, and all the programs I care about run on 64-bit OSes.
So, keep XP until 2014, or ditch it, and go 7?

It's that piece of stuff place hosted on the worst ISP ever.

BACKSTORY

[HOME BASE | FULLY ERECTED AFTER 11 DAYS]
You are part of a group that has survived an invasion of strange creatures that have emerged from the ground, with no intent but to destroy anything that moves; even each other... These things are black, they move fast, and can kill you in less than 5 seconds. Not to be trifled with unless at a distance.
Your base is running low on supplies, and there have been a few planes going down recently They have been dropping a bunch of strange boxes, and as it turns out, these boxes are the supplies you need and now you must find them. A person in a safehouse, not far from where your base was erected, noticed a light, and brought a whole arsenal with them. When she introduced herself, they attacked. After you held them off long enough, she was able to build a fence, and pitch some tents with some materials from her safehouse. Now it's up to you to kill these bastards and gather as many supplies as you can.

This is an image of one of these strange beings, taken from a camera at a safehouse before it noticed the photographer in the rubble. Poor son-of-a-bitch didn't see it coming. This is what we classify as a "Large Being", they're much faster, they're much stronger, and they'll rip you to bits in 2 seconds. They are typically found around large piles of supplies, such as safehouse ruins.

An image of the same safehouse after the damn things got to it. Ripped to bits in less than an hour. The orange things are supply boxes. Find these, click on them, and take them back to the base, because if you get killed while you're carrying them, you lose them. Never leave the base alone if you're going for a supply run.

This image shows a destroyed garage with a jeep still in it. Find the garage, take the jeep, and bring it back to the base for a 100 point reward.

TL;DR: Find supplies, deposit them at home base, buy weapons to gather more supplies.

Off Topic / Youtube Bluescreens?
« on: November 18, 2011, 06:18:34 PM »
Just questioning, but has anyone else been getting bluescreens literally during or after browsing Youtube?
I have been on most of my computers, but it only appears to be on AMD CPU computers, something with the stop error code 0x0000008E with watchdog.sys, I just wished to know if anyone was getting it other than me.
