A while ago I started chiseling a model of my late grandmother's house into Blockland. In the meantime I've begun renting said house and had a lot of time to get to know it pretty well. It's almost the same, save for a few artistic (and personal) liberties I've taken with the design. All that said, it is far from finished.

Features:
  • a functioning back door (missing from real life counterpart)
  • a functioning garage door (also missing from real life counterpart)
  • a fully fenced in yard (there's a trend here)
  • an above-ground pool
  • absolutely no furnishings
  • three bedrooms, 1¾ baths
  • working basketball goal!!!! try it!!!!
  • a nice shed

I have used so many bricks and add-ons in this build—most of which I acquired as early as 2015. I would give an exhaustive list of accreditation but every time I think about compiling the information for it I cry a little.

I might take interior pics after I put furnishings, which won't happen until I stop changing the interior around.

Help / FORUM ISSUE: Avatar upload system is ornery
« on: April 16, 2017, 01:17:51 PM »
Is it just me, or is the upload system for profile pictures completely bipolar? Sometimes I can upload a several hundred KB gif well beyond 75x75, and it will gladly compress the damned thing for me.

Now it's telling me that my tiny PNG barely under a dozen KB - and resized to UNDER the proper dimensions, mind you - is too big. Does it have something against PNG filetypes? Does it take days off? I'm honestly at a loss here.

Off Topic / Piece o' my tooth just kinda fell off
« on: March 08, 2017, 10:07:49 PM »
I've not taken good care of my teeth, but I haven't had any major incidents up until now. What I thought was something stuck between two molars was actually a small portion of tooth, which silently sloughed off and left behind a hole that I can't stop running my tongue over. Tooth doesn't hurt whatsoever, but I'm having a panic attack now because I let this get bad enough for a piece of my only set of teeth to be gone forever. Wooooo.

Other topic got too old. :( I made some improvements, mainly revamping room layouts and making the roof not stupid anymore

There will be more to come, but for right now I'm focusing on making my wall and floor designs less tacky and more consistent (which is why the bedrooms are not depicted), and also figuring out a way to wean myself off of Daniel.S' props - specifically his kitchen bricks. I just suck at making bathroom/kitchen storage, so unfortunately rooms of that type are just harder for me.

The living room is also in the middle of being completely thrown out because it's virtually impossible to work with, so that's why I didn't bother showing it. So, to be continued, I suppose!

EDIT: I'm starting to think I abuse DOF a little too much. I'll probably try to take less painful pictures in the future.

I was doing an open neighborhood project and this is probably one of the best structures I've built considering I simply have zero motivation

landscaping on fleek

I don't know what the forget I was thinking with the brick on the top, but I did the roof like two or three times so y'know

it's got 3 huge ass bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a bunch o' other rooms too

So you know that feeling when you do something and it feels like an instant mistake? Well that's the feeling I'm having right now except it wasn't my decision ;o;

I know I'm a generally pretty discreet lurker so I'm not gonna get recognised by 90% of y'all

but happy b-day to meee 0;

Off Topic / So my brother got in a car accident
« on: March 08, 2016, 09:25:10 PM »
...for the third time.

The first time was some years ago: he fell asleep driving and bounced out of a ditch into a hurricane fence. Lost a mirror and a taillight, and huge crumple on the side of the bed of his truck where it hit. I bring that up despite how long ago it was because it happened for the same reason the second time: he lost two wheels driving over a steep curb last month because he was too exhausted to pay attention. and that brings us to this time; he swerved and wrecked my mom's car into a ditch the other night. Windshield and entire driver's side of the car was ruined.

Goddamn it. He's okay, but now we have one vehicle left for everyone in the house to use. We may have lost my mom's car, too, since repair costs are probably far too much at this rate

loving hooray ;-;

I think this is the earliest there is. I was too young to remember how old I was, but I must've been about two-ish. I was still crawling on the floor every now and then, and I remember I found some piece of candy bar on the floor while I was under the breakfast table. I decided to be nice to my mom and I went over to the kitchen where she was talking on the phone, and I offered it up to her, making the sound I did to get my mom's attention. She took it while talking and she began to put it in her mouth. My mom sputtered and gagged, to my confusion. She had to put down the phone.

It turns out candy bars don't magically appear under the breakfast table, but dog stuff does. This is the earliest memory I'm left with, thinking about it; I don't know how proud I am of that aside from the fact I guess I can say I literally fed my mom stuff without even trying
