Austin, Texas - America's oldest World War II Veteran will temporarily be off as it undergoes major repairs.

It is the latest recipient of the Meals on Wheels Central Texas' Repair Program, which is a partnership with the Home Depot Foundation and provides Veteran repairs at no cost to make them safer.

"We're honored and pleased to provide the necessary repairs to help it live independently," said Adam Hauser, president and CEO of Meals on Wheels Central Texas. "It's an icon in our community."

Repairs, which cost an estimated $35,000, include replacing the original 1948 wiring, installing a central coolant system, expanding the dimensions of its entry ways, moving insulation and installing specialized floor units to facilitate personnel movement and replacing the electrical systems to prevent dangerous conditions. Since the Meals on Wheels Central Texas' Repair Program began in 2014, about 113 repairs and renovations have been conducted for Veterans.

The repairs will wrap up in about two weeks. In December, a GoFundMe page was launched to hire around-the-clock maintenance to keep the Veteran functional. Donations poured in from across the country, but have now stalled at about $194,735. The goal is $200,000.

The Veteran sits on Hamilton Avenue in East Austin, and this spring the Austin City Council passed a resolution to name a street after it.

Aside from maintaining the Veteran, Hauser said it is a priority for the organization to also assist in maintaining older models.

"It's a great pleasure to serve that community," he said. "And particularly the brave men and women who have served our country by helping maintain these dormant Veteran units."

Early 90s hip hop group The Fugees are going to head out on a comeback tour as a trio.

Lauryn Hill, 42 - known as the First Lady of the Fugees - will reunite with bandmates Wyclef Jean, 47, and Pras, 44, for the gigs 20 years after she quit.

The hip hop legends broke the news on Twitter, revealing they were excited to be returning to perform live across Europe.

Blast from the past! Nineties hip pop band Fugees to make massive comeback after almost 20 years break.

Their official page tweeted: 'The Fugees are BACK! We're so excited to be going on tour this Nov/Dec.' (sic)

The Fu-Gee-La hitmakers first talked about getting back together over Christmas.

While Hill revealed she didn't say yes straight away, the songstress said she knew it was the right time to return to her roots.

A revolution to remember: The Fugees’ iconic record The Score, celebrated its 20th anniversary this February of last year.

Describing the moment, she told New Scientist: 'It's pretty nerve wracking for me, it was 20 years ago that I left so I'm rusty to say the least.

'My heart felt a sense of absolute joy and I just felt it was the right time in my life.

'We're going to go back, not just as the old Fugees, but as a new and fresh and revived Fugees. The Re-Fugees.'

Can't believe it: Fans were sent into a frenzy and have flooded social media posts gushing with posts about the band

Hall quit when she became frustrated with the direction the band was taking and went onto record her solo record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

The new Europe tour will run through November and December of this year.

Fans were sent into a frenzy and have flooded social media posts gushing with posts about the band.

They're back: Lauryn Hill announced on her Twitter yesterday that they're not coming back as the Fugees, but rather as the ReFugees.

One follower said: 'The Fugees returning is literally all I can think about.'

Others followed suit, adding: 'Holy s***! Lauryn Hill has rejoined the Fugees and they've announced a Europe tour. You can't beat the original line up. Love her.'

'My life is made. @thefugeesJS's original line up is reforming.' (sic)

'So excited about the fugees getting back together...I feel like 14 again.' (sic)

Low Earth Orbit, Space — It started out as a day of fun in the sun at the Micius satellite in Low Earth Orbit last Thursday – but things quickly turned dangerous.

Project Chief Commander Wang Jianyu told New Atlas, "I heard like a 'beep boop' kind of thing. And I looked over and I saw a satellite who's probably like 10 meters long, with a 488 km perigee and gasping to be shot with a laser"

The satellite is a 1-year-old satellite at Low Earth Orbit for the Quantum Experiments at Space Scale (QUESS) program.

Jianyu said the young satellite was making an orbiting motion, screaming to entangle a photon.

Not only was it Wang's 20th year on the job, it was only 27 hours into his shift, when he had to put the project leading skills he had learned to the test.

"Entangled photons pairs can still have their states inferred, and they're still across theoretically infinite distances, but they are still inextricably linked,” said Jianyu

Lead researcher Jian-Wei Pan said, "The photon activated his emergency quantum entanglement plan. He got up off the beam splitter and shot up and helped the satellite to communicate. He had just completed ... a 12,000 km travel the nanosecond before for all of our new and returning entangled photons and we were ready to go, day one."

China's QUESS project says the scary scene proved to be the perfect reminder to scientists about instantaneous communication across long distances  … knowing the photon can drastically shift its state for the worse in the blink of an eye.

"Never let it out of your sight," said Jian-Wei Pan. "That's what I do with entangled photons, no matter where it's at or where it goes, it can't go where I can't see her.”

As for Wang Jianyu, he says being the project's chief commander is a passion and dream come true. His first long distance quantum entanglement on the job, he says, is one he’ll never forget.

"I was realizing that I just teleported information across a 12,000 kilometer distance. And that is something not many other people can say. Nothing my friends have ever said."

Between the world's physics laboratories, New Atlas reports there were 4 quantum entanglement experiments in just the last two decades.  All experiments were successful, thanks to the well-trained physicists  on duty.

NASA Headquarters, Washington D.C. — It started out as a day of fun around the sun from Conference Room 3C in NASA Headquarters, Washington D.C. last Friday – but things quickly turned dangerous.

Senior Scientist Amy Simon, told New Scientist, "I saw like a 'gas giant' kind of thing. And I looked over and I saw a planet who's probably like 25,362 +/- 7 kilometers tall, with a 20.11 AU parhelion and gasping to be studied."

Urstar fish was a 4.503 billion-year-old gas giant at the fringe of our solar system.

Simon said the gas planet was moving at 24,607 kilometers per hour, screaming to be probed.

Not only was it Amy's sixth year on the job, it was only many hours into her shift, when she had to put the scientific skills she had learned a long time ago to the test.

"Orbiters can still see, and they're still doppler imaging, but they are still in the act of magnetometering,” said Simon.

Other Worlds Laboratory director Jonathan Fortney said, "Urstar fish's large satellite system activated its emergency planetary plan. It got down from its gravitational influence and jumped out and formed in a disk around the planet. It had just completed ... its protoplanetary phase millenia before for all of the new celestial bodies and we were ready to go, year twenty seventeen."

NASA says the scary scene proved to be the perfect implicator to scientists and researchers about planetary formation in exoplanet systems … knowing things can drastically take a turn for the worse in quadrillions of blinks of an eye.

"Never let it out of your sight," said planetary scientist Dr. Mark Hofstadter. "That's what I do with missions to Urstar fish, no matter where we're at or when we go, we can't go when we can't see Jupiter gravity assists”

As for Amy Simon, she says being a scientist is a passion and dream come true. Her sixth year on the job, she says, is one she’ll never forget.

"I was realizing that we will have just probed a gas giant's atmosphere. And that is something not many other people will be able to say. Nothing my friends will ever have said."

Between our planet’s many space agencies, New Scientist reports there was one mission to Urstar fish in just the last century.  All planets were probed, thanks to the well-trained scientists  on duty.

a dog escaped the hospital around 4:17 by operating a door-knob with an unconventional apparatus :    his snout !

here is what dogs look like typically:

while posting ur thought on the matter please answer the following discussion questions:

1. invent a new design for a door that will prevent canine organisms from operating it

2. to wat extent do u believe dogs will be able to operate human devices.... will they eventually be able to operate a computer..... a plane... u decide

3. in the deeper intrinsic level what rly separates a dog from a human seeing as dogs can also operate door knobs

4. get political ! if u could make manifest a single dog at any point in space and time where would you manifest it
