Been awhile since i've been here, but now that there's apparently no hosting services around anymore, what VPS provider has the best deal? I just need something that can host 1-2 servers efficiently.

Off Topic / Got a reckless driving ticket

Well, I got a reckless driving ticket for $440 and 6pts. Any advice from you internet lawyers on how to get it reduced to a lesser charge?

Cop told me to show up to court and we could find a way to lessen it since “I was very polite”. Really worried about loosing my license over this.

IdeTheBird has now consistently derailed my topic for multiple pages now, it has gotten to the point that I am afraid to respond due to Badspot possibly moving my thread to drama. I have told Ide multiple times that if he has such an issue with me and my administration please drama me and move away from my topic, going as far as said "No I wont drama you, because you will never learn", so he pretty much just admitted he would rather continue to detail my thread.

Being accused of admin abuse is fine, I will defend myself as I see fit. But whenever I request any sort of proof he counters with the argurment he doesn't need proof when multiple people have complained of it, instead just resorting to attacks and repeating himself like a broken record. Also, if you are going to argue over admin abuse, it's simple, just drama the person so people can discuss it there and not derail other threads.

I have reported multiple posts to Badspot in hopes it will resort in some sort of action to stop further derailment of my thread.

It begins on page 6 with this, which in itself isn't bad.

Glass it really isn't hard to at least try and actually listen to people's suggestions.

It might be easy for you and your admin team but for normal players it isn't, they don't have rapid shovel or admin orb like you guys use.

lmao one of the admins was rapid shoveling right in front of me, something the normal players do not have access to.

glass, dude I know you. I use to be a super admin on your server, you cheated on your server all the time. and i dont know if you are now but you're definitely letting your admins cheat.

This is true, he was indeed a Super Admin on my servers...4+ years ago.

Wrong, he continues for an entire page and a half more (to date, may expand more if he doesn't drop it).

Come on dude, over 10 people have no reported seeing your admins cheating. We don't need to show you proof when a fraction of your player base reports it.

Again, not trying to stuff talk you, but you cannot sit there and tell anyone that you need proof from like 10 different players.

You may be able to deny that I saw it, but when 10+ people mention it, now your problems are slowly coming out.

I recommend fixing it.

If you want to cheat your player base then go for it. Just know you may lose them.

Also you're loving dense if you think accusing your admins of using that rapid shovel, is comparable to loveual assault.

Also, if there are 10 witnesses of loveual assault, the suspect is going to prison.

I brought up a comparison which I said that accusations isn't proof, it doesn't mean it happened. Plenty of people complain about admin abuse, especially the ones who the admins have had to deal with.

As if you're sooooo innocent, you have a pretty bad track record on the subject of cheating your players.

There are a lot more probably. But my point is you have not changed, 10 people have reported that you or your admins are either using the Rapid Shovel command, or teleporting. Also sure those are old but people are saying you've been cheating very recently.

And no, i'm not gonna drama you, because you will never learn.

Not going to lie, I actually got a good laugh from this one. He pulls up my past cases of admin abuse...the newest one being all the way from 2014, some linking back to 2012.. he is pulling his case from things that happened 6 years ago, while I was just going from middle school to High School.

There was a man name Jim, Jim was a major alcoholic, his family tried to help him many times, then one day, they finally rehabilitated him. Jim did good for a few years, then Jim got thirsty, Jim drank again, a lot. Jim's family found out because his friends told on him, Jim tells his family, "You have no proof that I have been drinking, my friends are lying!".

How loving stupid is Jim? While we don't have proof, do we really need it? Especially when many people say they saw it in action.

Also a bunch of people in-game said they have seen it.

You can ignore this if you want Glass. Sure having proof would help, but remember the people who HAVE seen it, and how it affects your server's image.

He complained about me comparing loveual assault accusations (guilty till proven innocent concept), then goes to compare my "admin abuse" to alcoholism..

That's fine, play on a server where the host cheats, and lets his admins cheat, are you one of his admins? Does he let you get away with this?

And, I use to like Glass, I was super admin on the server until I saw him cheating one day.

moral of story If you are going to accuse someone of doing something wrong, such as admin abuse, just make a drama about it, don't go and derail someones thread like this.

I have to buy a new key to start hosting again due to Jasa getting my previous one revoked awhile back, but I was hoping there was somewhere I could buy a key that still had a somewhat low BLID. I remember there was some site that used to sell 2000 BLID's but that was a good while back.

It's not really a big deal but I was just curious if I could.

Drama / Key Stolen By Jasa; Resulting In Revoked Key and Taken Name

What happened?
Here is a little context before I start: I have been inactive for many months and was unbeknownst to me my key was taken and being used by Jasa/Broze.

So a couple weeks ago I logged onto the forums and checked around for my name see if anything was said, well I found a drama claiming that I spammed Edd's Server. I was confused and figured maybe someone was faking it somehow or whatever, anyways I didn't give it much thought at the time.

So fast forward to today, I went to log into Blockland to check out what has been going on, so I entered my key and I got "Authentication FAILED: ID not found.". I figured it might have been some kind of mistake but after further investigation I found this post by Badspot saying that I was an alt of Jasa and that my key has been revoked along with his.

It took me a little while to figure out how the hell he would have gotten my key, but I remembered back about 2 years ago I hosted my Fort Wars server off of his VPS he let me use.

I am hoping Badspot will do something to rectify this mix up, the main thing I care about is just getting my name back, but I am not going to hold my breath.

Fort Wars
Fort Wars will be returning this summer with major under the hood changes which will allow the server to run smoother, we are remaking most of the older scripts and mods which gave us issues in the past in order to reduce latency and crashes.

As for gameplay changes for now it will remain unchanged but I will be working to bring updates as the server progresses.

Trench Wars
Back at it again with the Trench Wars, i'll be hosting this server during the summer whenever I can as long as I or my administration as time. For the opening there wont be any major changes to the game-mode, as time goes on we will introduce newer features. One feature I would really like to bring to the server is the Killstreak Additions, this has been in the concept stage for a long time so hopefully we will be able to get that in sometime over the summer.

The game will be based around T+T and FROG's as I am ditching the BF3 pack until I can find someone willing to modify and fix up the pack. The map will be auto-rotating and will range from different terrain maps to the classic flat battlefield many of you probably remember.

As for the requirement of donations, I will be funding the server mostly out of pocket, my goal is to get at least $10 a month to keep it running so it doesn't strain my wallet.

Information

Just a simple house build I decided to put up because I had the urge to build a house. Pretty simple the way it works, when you spawn read the rules and information, then when you find an area you want to build along the long street, ask an admin and they will clear you an area of 32x32, 32x64, or 64x64.

Anyways just decided to post so people knew it was up.
Suggestions

If you have any mod suggestions like brick-packs or tools feel free to suggest them.

Just wondering if anyone has a large collection of brick packs that they use to build houses and stuff that they could link me to here. Don't really want to have to sift through the hundreds of brick packs and find which ones are the best.

Just making a house build for myself and a few friends who wanted it, i'll open it publicly if anyone would be interested in something like that.

Just going to make this short and simple since the images will suffice just fine. Guardian came on my server criticizing the map (well understandable, it's bland. then again it's classic) and Danny Boy told him that we are making anew map. Anyways he ignored that and continued, so I called him a moron, he then made fun of Thorfin25's death. I ban him and then he just goes resorts to straight up trolling and spamming the forums.
