Add-Ons / [Item] Staff of the White Mage
« on: May 13, 2018, 05:04:51 PM »

Ever noticed the lack of healing items, magic items, and healing magic items in Blockland?
Need to keep your allies alive during fights? Standing in fire does not count. Let them die.
Want to feel like a god among men, the only reason your team succeeds?

Look no further than the Staff of the White Mage!

+Click once to thwack an enemy with your staff for 15 damage. Not recommended.
+Click and hold for .75 seconds until the tip of the staff glows blue and release to cast a single-target heal for 75 hp.
+Click and hold for 1.75 seconds until the staff glows green and release to cast an area heal for 50 hp.
-Cannot move while charging. Release the charge if you want to dodge.

Numbers may be adjusted later for balance purposes.

Suggestions & Requests / Vehicle spawning item
« on: December 23, 2017, 04:22:07 PM »
An item that spawns a vehicle, which despawns if the player spawns another vehicle (including with other items), or if the vehicle is unoccupied for 30 seconds.
One item would spawn one specific vehicle, i.e. a jeep spawner would spawn a jeep, a tank spawner would spawn a tank, etc.
If possible, make it so that it is easy to create additional items that spawn different vehicles.

Suggestions & Requests / Slayer Minigame team sounds/music
« on: October 02, 2017, 07:05:03 PM »
Are there any events or bricks for playing music/sounds for only one team in a team deathmatch?
If not, could these be made?

If using Slayer, a team-based music brick might use the color of the brick for the team color, as other Slayer bricks do.

Suggestions & Requests / TDM Client Music System
« on: March 25, 2017, 03:15:27 PM »
Some older games had something called iMuse. Would it be possible to, say, detect if there are any enemies in a certain radius (or if they're shooting at you) and switch from calm music to action music playing clientside? Maybe detect number of enemies vs. number of allies and switch between winning and losing music based on that.

"The night has been unruly: where we lay,
Our chimneys were blown down;" -Lennox, Macbeth
High winds have caused widespread power outages here. Very high straight line winds, tropical storm speeds. FirstEnergy is running around with their hair on fire. Power is expected to be back on by March 10th-11th.

In other news, Spectrum internet is down around major cities across the U.S. Incompetent company or Russian attack? Or did we just make that up to kill time? Discuss below.

edit: power is back on for me, crCIA averted

Also, Betsy DeVos is now Secretary of Education, confirmed 51-50. Mike Pence cast the tie-breaking vote.

Quote from: Betsy Devos
Asked whether Christian schools should continue to rely on giving—rather than pushing for taxpayer money through vouchers—Betsy DeVos replied, "There are not enough philanthropic dollars in America to fund what is currently the need in education...Our desire is to confront the culture in ways that will continue to advance God's kingdom."

Added richard DeVos: "As we look at many communities in our country, the church has been displaced by the public school as the center for activity... It is certainly our hope that more and more churches will get more and more active and engaged in education."

I decided my 1:1 Star Destroyer needed company.

Built in a few hours.

Suggestions & Requests / Dogfighting AI
« on: December 27, 2016, 12:16:19 AM »
Basically an AI that is capable of flying planes and, well, dogfighting. Not sure if it is even possible to make Blockland do it, but if anyone wants to experiment...

Cue three million requests for the vehicles, ignoring the actual request in this thread.

Modification Help / Vehicle Crashing BL On Spawn
« on: November 06, 2016, 07:36:19 PM »
When I try to spawn a vehicle I'm developing, it crashes BL. No console errors or anything. Could be something related to the model or a typo in the script. I really have no idea. Script was copied and modified from another vehicle add-on that it will require. Some parts are commented out as they are not yet needed to get it in-game but will be needed later.
For motivation, here's the model:

Off Topic / [NEWS] Cubs Rigged World Series (IT'S RIGGED)
« on: November 03, 2016, 07:52:46 PM »
According to many no doubt unbiased sources, the Cubs have been found guilty of altering the outcome of the World Series.

Why has no major news outlet covered this?

Is this a coverup by the Chicago media to promote their supposed "victory"? Clearly the biased liberal media is hiding the truth!

That's pretty bad that a major sports team has to lie like that to deny the Indians their victory, lol.
This news brought to you by Tony Wars: emotions are just chemical reactions.

Ukrainian hackers have managed to download the emails of two top officials in the Russian government, finding that they directly masterminded the Ukrainian civil war, including rigging elections to get favorable people in power in the right places.

"In light of a bill passed by the US Congress allowing families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia, Iraqis have asked their parliament to demand compensation for the US invasion of Iraq."

Having overruled sovereign immunity, the Iraqi people want some of what Congress is having, asking their government if they can do it too.

"The "Arab Project in Iraq" lobby group "sees their opportunity to ask for compensation from the United States over violations by the US forces following the US invasion that saw the toppling of late President Saddam Hussein in 2003," the Al-Arabiya news channel reported on Saturday."
"It urged for a full-fledged investigation over the killing of civilians targets, loss of properties and individuals who suffered torture and other mistreatment on the hand of US forces."

This also applies to past wars as well. Many other nations would sure as hell love to get money from the U.S., such as Vietnam.

"Saudi Arabia denies any culpability for the 9/11 attacks, and has warned that it might be forced to sell off billions of US assets to avoid sanctions if JASTA became law, a move which would destabilize the US dollar."
