Modification Help / How do you make a map.

Man I look at all these maps and they are good, but I have like freakin amazing ideas for maps. But one question how do you make maps and do you need a 3D generater to or somethin like that to build one and if you do need it do you need to download it or buy it.

Hey um I need help makeing addons and maps. IDK how to make them so someone plz tell me how to make addons and maps. Someone told me but they were wrong so I have some really cool ideas for addons and maps so plz respond to this post.
