Intro
The year is 2021. 21 years ago, a massive wavelength known only as the Alyx Wave turned 8% of the world's population into superhumans, forcing the world to adapt, creating the 5 Gaian Physic Laws of Reality, the classifications that defined the superhumans, and the A-7 Council of Superhuman Affairs that policed them.

17 years later, after the events of what became known as the Chrinistar Timestop, humans and superhumans are on the precipice of a civil war, with local gangs of superhumans and law enforcement tearing society at the seams.

This is Ze Operator's story. This is his world.
Your choices can affect the outcome of what comes next.

General Information
Q: What exactly is this?
A: This is an RPG/DM style combat game with the emphasis on local communication, exploration, and progression. While it takes conventional RPG mechanics, this game also turns said concepts on its head with a Karma System and emphasis on fighting back.
This game is being developed by Carbon Zypher and I, and is a labor of love on my part.

Q: What inspired this?
A: I wanted to write a story that followed four of the following inspirations.
1.) That it would be a story that was not written by DC or Marvel.
2.) That it mixed magic and technology the correct way in the sense that it doesn't feel janky or uncomfortable.
3.) That the story was open-ended enough that it had its own plot, but had a decent amount of bendable rules that allowed people to create their own stories based off said rules.
4.) It would allow my own Alter-Ego to become its own reality.

Q: Is this game finished?
A: The game is currently 40% through its Semi-Open Alpha-testing stage, where features are tested on an open-ended DM map. Occasionally I may decide to open the server to the public to test any "major" features should the need arise, but later phases will be open to the public.

Q: What will gameplay be like?
A: Gameplay will be split based on whether you choose to play as a human or superhuman. If you choose to be a human, you will have the opportunity to use conventional weapons but will struggle against stronger opponents. Should you choose to play as a superhuman, you'll be able to not need weapons, and use powers, shifting LV, and be stronger than others, but will struggle to be able to hide when you need to.
You will also be able to play on the authority side, made to police both sides, or even form your own gangs to cause mayhem of your own. There will also be a Karma and Bounty system that will allow you to be as notorious as you'd like. Rob a bank, save the local populace, the opportunity is yours!

Q: Are there weapons?
A: Yes.

Q: Will this be PvP or PvE?
A: It will be a mix of both. You will have a mix of enemies during certain points in the day while still having to deal with rogue players at other points. While there will be areas of safety, it will be crucial to stay vigilant at all times, as you will never know who may be after you.

Modification Help / Advanced Tacticality - Simply Modular Ammo System
« on: August 18, 2018, 12:54:47 AM »
Advanced Tacticality
logo pending

Outline:
This package has been a labor of love of mine for nearly the past 3-4 years. I've been working on and off of this for so long that I partially forget for how long exactly. The pack is my answer to weapon packs like Tier+Tactical, H&K, Space Guy's Ammo Support, and the like. As for the pack itself, it's made to be a plug-and-play utilization with more modular features, such as bottomless clips and akimbo ammunition, and works decently with bots.

TL;DR, This is made for people who don't know how to code but want a decent TDM server, or for coders who want to make nice weapon packs.

This pack has been worked on by a plethora of people whom gave part of their soul to this pack, and now I am allowing a more stable Beta release for those wanting to see this pack in action. Anything listed here is subject to change.

Features:
  • Bottomless Clips/Physical Ammo Piles
  • Akimbo Weapon Utilization
  • Bot functionality
  • Alternate/Right Click Firing
  • Custom Gui configuration
  • Fire from ammo weapons!
  • Headshots!
  • Light Key Reload configuration
  • Hitscan Support*
  • Blockland Glass Preferences
  • File expansion for various server needs

To-Do:
  • Chambered bullets (plus a pref?)
  • Chargeable weapons Not sure.

Known Bugs:
  • Spamming the reload key will continually reset the reload timer on the gun. If you hear the sound effect, it's reloading, so be patient!
  • Guns tend to reload quicker than their sound cues suggest.

Weapon Packs:
  • Advanced Tacticality: Core - Download! Ver. 1.1.0 this download is beyond old, so loving bear with me. if i hear another complaint about DS_Stores, i will deck you in your ovaries.

  • Advanced Tacticality: Keter - Access denied; Higher clearance needed.
This package is literally an excuse to have obscenely overpowered weapons used in tactical situations. Yes, Mini-Nukes need some love in TDMs too. Not to be used in regular servers unless you want whiners.

Unlike the rest of the packs planned on this list, I plan to release this one once everything within has reached 100%.

*Hitscan Support:
Written by the constantly amazing Carbon Zypher, this support file expands and revamps on Space Guy's old Support_RaycastingWeapons script, fixing any age old bugs or deficiencies made. Don't worry; this file can work simultaneously with any other weapon pack that utilizes Raycasts. It is encouraged to try the support file on its download page! once it's actually posted...

Help / Windows 10 Mouse Lock issue
« on: April 01, 2018, 09:14:31 AM »
Not sure for how many users this has occurred for, but the few times I have played Blockland on Windows 10, the mouse trigger locks whenever I move. This has really been observed on laptops, and I've never seen this issue occur elsewhere.

I'm asking now because my friend is having my exact same issue.
Isn't there some kind of fix for this?

Having feasible items are a must.

Anyone know of a good one?

General Discussion / Ze Operator's Boss Battles Megatopic
« on: February 04, 2018, 02:09:38 AM »

What is this?
This is Boss Battles, but with a twist; there are no classes. You build your own toolset based on the points you get. The stronger you get, the easier it is to beat the boss in a fight.
Job's simple; stop them from capturing your control point at the center of the map, or survive for the round length.

TBA

Features
- 18 Bosses!
- +30 weapons!
- 20 Maps!
- Self-made memes!
- Dedicated admin base!

Suggestions & Requests / Speech system or Indicative system?
« on: January 28, 2018, 10:10:36 AM »
Way back when, a mod was released that added a server-sided ability to give verbal commands to players, such as telling players when and enemy was spotted, or if they needed medical attention; similar to the speech and radio systems of Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike respectively.

The add-on was considered obsolete due to audio problems, but I want the mod itself to see if I could try my hand at it.

Does anyone have the actual thread or at least a copy of the mod?

Add-Ons / [Weapon] Shock Grenade
« on: January 24, 2018, 11:57:36 AM »
Shock Grenade

This little tool has been literally rotting in my hard drive since its inception. Partially because of what it was to me, and much less of what it could do.

The device simply answers one question: "How the hell do I stop one person from loving moving long enough so that I could rip them a new one?" This tool fixes this by forcibly removing your actual free will in the matter by letting out a short range pulse that tumbles players in radi, including yourself if you're too close.

Features:
- Sweet Model
- lovey sounds
- Special activation animation

Known Bugs:
- Occasionally, when stunning multiple people, if two of them happen to collide, one of the players will "spontaneously explode". Still figuring a workaround.

This so happens to be the first add-on that I initially created while I was still raw.
Special thanks to Visolator for helping me with the tumble code, and piber20 for proofreading and ironing out bugs.

Suggestions & Requests / Old Shield Playertypes Mod
« on: December 25, 2017, 06:44:19 PM »
Currently, I’m looking for a Playertype pack where the player’s energy bar acted as a shield.

The damage from weapons would get dealt straight to the energy bar until it depleted, and players would get dealt direct damage after that.

According to Shift Kitty:

Does anyone have a direct link to it? Any at all would be appreciated.

Original project by Regulith (5593)
https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=109004.0

The Land of Heat and Clockwork (abbreviated as LOHAC) is where DAVE is teleported to in the MEDIUM after supposedly cracking open his CRUXITE EGG . It is characterized by steel framework, spinning cogs, and lots of lava. Dave's apartment inside the Land of Heat and Clockwork remains atop its highrise, though the floors below his have been replaced with the same steel framework.

I saw the original topic created by Regulith, and since I was looking for DM map builds for Boss Fights, I looked into it, but found no build download. When I shot a message to him, he stated that he gave up on the project, and he gave it to me. This was the result of 2 weeks of work, along with help from other builders.

As Regulith stated,
Quote
This is not meant to be a perfect replica of the LOHAC, it's only meant to be based from it. I'm going to turn it into a deathmatch, perhaps with some special rules.

Thus, I decided to keep it that way, framing it to be a slightly intricate map with thousands of ways to go up or down. Bumpers leading to strange places, and even a couple of Croc statues taken from one of the many frames from MSPA.

I'll release the build if it's popular enough.

Music / Ze Operator's Music Megathread (V3.0) [EXTENDED TRACK MUSIC!]

Creating a third one because I don't know what to do with my time, hurrrrr.

If you don't see an entry on this list, be sure to check the old ones, as they still work.

https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=291639.0

Regular Tracks
These tracks are around 1MB, or are around 90 seconds in length.

The Hand - Jojo's Bizarre Adventures: Diamond is Unbreakable OST | Okuyasu's theme for his Stand. Bass drops, plus a rad guitar.
Download
The Plan - Original piece by Z3BB3 | Glitch Hop at it's finest. Piano pangs that makes this track sound like it was featured in the Godfather, while bass drops and buzzy synths mix it up to a fantastic piece that perfectly loops.
Download
Defeater - Original piece by TheSteelEagle | Bass Devil's theme from the Roblox game Boss Fighting Stages during his second phase.
Lots of heavy bass and synths. It also some has orchestral variation at some point.
Download
Mechanical Sheep - Clear Vision 2 OST | I actually do not know who created this track, nor do I know the actual name. The name is associated with the mission it's heard within. I personally though it was cool, so I ripped it from the game, and made it into a loop.
Track has a decent amount of mechanical ambience, sounding it could be something off of Silent Hill, but can pass off for something as hardcore as Call of Duty.
Download
Devil's Laughter - Silent Hill: Shattered Memories OST | A rather interesting piece that almost sounds like Darth Vader constantly breathing in a mic. Perfect for chase scenes or scenarios.
Download
Octarmaments - Phase 1 - Turquoise October - Splatoon 2 OST | Plenty of synths, and a lot of SFX to accompany the track. This is the music that plays when things are a tiny bit tense, but simple enough for you to handle without breaking a sweat.
Download
Octarmaments - Phase 2 - Turquoise October - Splatoon 2 OST | Plenty of synths, and a lot of SFX to accompany the track, added in with some guitars and keys. This is the song that plays when things get a bit out of hand.
Download
Octarmaments - Phase 3 - Turquoise October - Splatoon 2 OST | Plenty of synths, and a lot of SFX to accompany the track, added in with some guitars keys, and a lot of DnB. This is the song that plays when things really out of hand.
Download
Porky - Remix by Ghost Voltage | A remix of "Pokey Means Business" done right. Plenty of guitars ripping along, plus a lot of drums. Perfect for an epic boss battle with an immature brat.
Download
Conflict!!! - Reddistuck OST | A quick 20-second loop made for busting quick flames and plot theories. Don't think too much on the latter.
Download

Extended Tracks
These tracks are larger than 1MB, and require the Larger Music Files mod to function correctly.

Dark Impetus - Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep OST | Used for the secret final boss of the game, the Mysterious Figure.  A fast piece, accompanied by a radical violin backing, and a lot of parts to it.
Download
Bete Noire - Glitchtale OST | Theme for Bete Noire. Ambient drone, followed by a harsh lead synth that keeps building, until it drops to very powerful DnB. A must-listen.

General Discussion / Advanced Tacticality - Public Beta!
« on: February 13, 2017, 11:15:20 AM »

NOTICE!: This pack is still very much a work in progress, and some items may serve as placeholders for the real thing! All stats, models and characteristics are subject to change!

    Introduction

This weapon pack began as an idea back in mid 2013-2014, with a solution to weapon packs like T+T or HK, which use almost borderline and overexcessive clunky code. Sure, it served as a basis to many weapon packs that are really top tier nowadays. But for me, there was still something missing.

I envisioned a weapon pack that though seemed simplistic in nature, it would have the potential to be expanded upon, even by the most novice of modders. And even more so, have features that would raise it to the top tier rung, such as ammo carryoff, bottomless clips, ammo pickups, and the like.

I learned that doing the pack by myself would prove nigh impossible, and was thus abandoned. Nearly 2 years later, I looked back through the idea of it, and I considered doing this not by myself, but with others who would pursue a common goal. I looked around on the BL Forums, and also talked to anyone I knew who would be interested. And that was the start of the Advanced Tacticality Project. And with little than a few months of work under it’s belt, the core files of the pack are ready for public Beta testing!

    Current Completed Files
    None! =[

    Credits!

Though a majority of us worked in between modeling, coding, and testing altogether, there were areas where they really shined the most, and I am grateful for their work.

    • Our Modelers - Conan (4928) and Pompmaker2 (33752)

These two are GEMS in their own right. They’re masters of their own craft, and have been excellent when it comes modeling. Though they have coded their own stuff (Conan with his various tool add-ons, and Pompmaker with his playertypes and tanks), they’re ”well-rounded” in their works in providing default-styled appeal to this pack, as is its purpose.

    • Our Coders - Visolator (20490) and Marios (200355)

Make no mistake, these guys know their stuff in Torque. Though Marios had began the ammo file, Visolator revised and reinforced it. Nevertheless, these two have worked with me on many an occasion on troubleshooting and syntax fixing. I cannot thank these two enough for being a major part in this, since if not for them, this project would never be a reality.

    • Our Alpha Testers - Lego Lad (22539), Squidbee (49258), and Potatoh (44572)

    And this guy ->[/list]

These guys helped make the pack work, and reported an problems or issues right back to us. And they did a damn good job at it. Even Squidbee, who at the time was working on his own gamemode, also stepped up to give a swing at this pack.
