Games / Sid Meier's Alpha Centarui/Alien Crossfire: Civilization in SPAAAAACE!

After Sid and Brain Reynolds dropped out of Microprose to join Fraxis. Since Microprose still owned rights to the Civilzation series, they decided to make a science fiction game. as always with almost all games that Sid created this is a great game.

The forget is this? Alpha Centarui (Which we will abbreviate to SMAC for the sake of speed) is set in the distant future in which a colony ship is sent to Alpha Centarui (Later called "Planet"). During the trip to planet, a engine failure causes the entire population to awake and a group of assassins to kill the captain of the ship. After the assassination, the population splits into seven different factions each with a idea.

What makes this different from other Civ games? Mind worms and the workshop.

Mind Worms? Nightmare monsters, they get mad with the more eco-damage you cause.

Workshop? Basically that one thing in Warzone 2015, you can build anything you have researched.

So how do I shoot win?
Conquest: WAR!
Economic: Get a metric-stuff ton of money (Morgan is recommended for this) and then go to to HQ screen and click "Corner Global Energy Market".
Diplomatic: Convince more than 3/4 of the factions to vote yes in in the council option "Vote me as supreme leader" (Lal is recommended for this).
Transcendence Build the "Ascent to Transcendence" Project.

Alien Crossfire? A expansion pack to SMAX that adds a lot of stuff like

Games / Jet Moto 1/2/3 - Science Fiction Racing At Its Finest.

Gameplay in the Jet Moto series differs traditional racing games, as players instead control hoverbikes which hover close above the ground and can be driven over both land and water. Most of the courses in the games are designed to take advantage of this ability. The game has a its variant of the traditional road course, but also introduces a new course type, known as a Self Delete course. Instead of being a continuous loop, these tracks have checkpoints at either end of the course, and the starting grid in the center. Characters race to one end, then turn around to head for the other checkpoint, repeating the process until all laps are complete. This provides a new gameplay dynamic as often the player must navigate oncoming traffic. Characters are split into teams, and bikes are adorned with logos of products such as Mountain Dew and Butterfinger, similar to real-life sponsored racing.
The Jet Moto series utilizes a system called the magnetic grapple. Pressing the assigned button near a red energy pole creates a magnetic attraction between the player's bike the pole. Energy poles are often placed strategically throughout the courses, enabling racers to "slingshot" around tight turns without slowing down. The magnetic grapple system is also sometimes used to swing over large gaps and chasms otherwise too large to ride over. In addition to the grapple system players are given four boosts per lap, which provide a temporary burst of speed.

Brutal Doom

What is it? A mod for doom 2 that turns the game into a Quentin Tarantino styled action movie.

What does it add? A metric stuff-ton of stuff.

• Hitboxes, now you can take a zombieman's head off, or his arms, or legs for that matter.
• Shrapnel, be careful where you shoot now.
• Stronger Monsters, getting close to the baron of hell now is a Self Delete wish.
• Better sprites, the fireball now looks like a fireball instead of a bouncy ball.
• Fatalities!
• Gore, coat the walls with blood of your enemies, then blow up their bodies.
• Better Sounds,, now the BFG sounds like what it should.
• And much more!

What does the game look like? Prepare for manliness.

Doom Wars

What is this? A mod that turns Doom 2 into a RTS.

How does that work? You get no guns, but a spell that spawns a creature (If you have enough mana and/or hero mana).

How could this be a war? There are more classes. There are Doom class, Heretic class, Hexen class, Strife class, Chex class, and the Virus class.

Download? Somewhere, just look around on doom-seeker, there are always severs that have the mod running.




Armageddon Invasion 2

What is this? Put a bunch of good monsters, maps, and bosses in a blender and press the "invasion" button.

Video to back that claim up? Keep in mind that this is only one map.
