Ideas was beginning.
an amazing person named badspot was the successor to god. one day while playing jenga, he was all like "why are my thoughts being written in a message board" and then, he said out loud,
i have an amzing idea.
what if i made a game-
about legos.
he called it blockland.
it was amazing.
[Era one-the Blank Era]
in blockland's first era, the blank era, blockland had no feelings. it desperately searched for ways to give itself these feelings. unlike other games, blockland had a purpose.
a meaning.even though blockland heralded huge staircases and grand temples, it still had many, many flaws. not only could "noobs" come to blockland and destroy it without a sheild to be guarded, blockland could only preserve it's work through images and videos, just like chris crocker.
and so, badspot was joined by amazing characters-
characters called

[Era 2-The Junkyard Era]
in this era, blockland was made better by badspot, creating more bricks and colors-and giving it feelings.
not only was Blockland also mentioned on The Screen Savers,(now known as Attack Of The Show) it was further looken unto by the modders. they wanted a better blockland- and like chuck norris, they were going to get it
by theirselves. this led to unorganized mods-mods like colorsets, maps, and random bricks and weapons. however, this would change in...

[Era 3-The BLM Era]
suddenly, an isolated group of modders rose up above the ranks. why? because they had just invented Blockland Mods. it's name was lacking, but blockland mods was revolutionary. finally, players could just connect to a "BLOCKLANDMODS SERVER 1ST IN IS ADMINLOLOLOLOLOLOL" server and not have to download anything like before. yes, blockland mods packaged all the mods together to create an amazing mod that captured lots of attention. it also had a few weapons and vehicles of its own.

[Era 4-The Uprising]
ah, the climax of blockland history. many legends are told of how this was a stunning and remarkable era-all of them understated. A second power arose-the one that satan called
T.B.M.standing for, as some old guys say, "The Beast maker" or "Total Bomber Monster" this was a mod forged in the furnaces of satan. it was led by a group of deadly warmakers-the "TBM group." this "TBM" was, for a while, the greatest thing that happened to blockland. However, it was deemed by badspot as "Unnaceptable." TBM contained a script that hostilly infected other modded files using the same mods as TBM. so if you had TBM, it Assassinated your other mods that stole from it. I'm not fricking joking. however, many blocklanders stuck with TBM-they wouldn't let it go. However, there was hope.
A third and final power Descended from the heavens. this RTB-or-Return to Blockland- was named so because it was the first great mod in a while. and i mean a while-it had been almost a year since TBM.
RTB Delivered. with an Elite team, loads of members, and forum support, it seemed inpenetrable-and it was. and for a while, things stayed that way-A fierce battle between RTB and TBM that included Guerilla forum posting and direct attacks on servers. Badspot, looking to resolve this problem, decided to get out of europe(or wherever he went for that thing involving blockland) and place the final elements into "R".
[Era 5-Retail(Aka The Divine Divide]

yes, retail is the end of our story. after numerous updates to RTB, TBM and other mods died out-but all good things must come to an end.

RTB slowly fell as sensible blocklanders
"just bought it." many members were left behind, many clans were split-
many hearts were broken.but retail held a promising new future- a future filled with flaming bricks, spawnable vehicles, doors, and a flexible mod system. retail was updated to V8, and here we are.
we built stairs, had our bricks destroyed, and didn't even know what saving was in V2.
we had DMs with guns and cars that looked almost too realistic, new bricks, and games like BL-Fort in BLM.
we got our hands on even cooler stuff in TBM-but were shocked and apalled that we were using virused software in TBM.
we used the wand and some emitters and wanted to join USSR(heck, that still happens!) in RTB.
we joined Retail-after losing money.
We played blockland.
