Gallery / Halo 3 - Foundry Arena

A recreation of the main area of Foundry from Halo 3 styled to look like one of the several arena variants of the map that were made for Halo 3's Grifball game mode

Also included is a 'Launcher Hall' variant which just adds a contraption based on the same kind of contraption that was built by the Red vs Blue crew in Halo 3's Forge mode for their preview of the Foundry map

Everything you need is in the download link below, just don't overwrite anything if you already have any of the add-ons included in the ZIP file in case you happen to have a more up to date version of that add-on

Also included in the ZIP file is the skybox and the colorset that was used with this build

Fun fact:
This was made in roughly 10 days back in 2015 and seen some refinement here and there over the course of 7 years, most of that time being spent procrastinating, being burnt out, and being distracted/busy with general life stuff

Add-Ons / Lego Racers GUI and Ghost Brick Sounds

Lego Racers GUI Mod

Description:

This is a client mod that changes the game's main menu to look like the main menu from the game Lego Racers by adding your player to the main menu, changing the look of the buttons, and adding sounds and music from Lego Racers to the main menu, avatar GUI, and even the brick inventory GUI

Additionally, if you have the Main Menu Wallpaper mod by Jes00 (which can be downloaded here: https://blocklandglass.com/addons/addon.php?id=308), you can download and extract the following ZIP file to your main Blockland directory to add the blue brick studs as selectable wallpaper and change your cursor into a bold, yellow cursor:

Just be sure to read the 'Readme.txt' file inside the ZIP for installation and usage instructions!

Main Menu Blockhead

Description:

By request, a standalone version of the Blockhead display from my Lego Racers GUI mod that adds your Blockhead to the main menu

This standalone version is also positioned differently for a better view of your Blockhead

Lego Racers Ghost Brick Sounds

Description:

This client mod replaces the sounds for moving, rotating, and planting your ghost brick with sounds from Lego Racers, also incudes a replacement for the error sound, and an undo brick sound

If you don't want the undo sound, enter 'clientCmdToggleLRUndoSound();' into the console

Add-Ons / Halo-Shielded Health Playertype

Ever since Badspot removed the recharge delay function for the player's energy bar, the old 'Halo Shielded' player type by Mr. Wallet was broken. So I recently decided that I would recreate this, but using the player's health bar since it's much more versatile than the energy bar.

So now this add-on will make your health function similar to the player's shield in the Halo games. Mjolnir armor not included.

This add-on also has sounds taken from Halo 3 that's used for when your health is low or in danger, as you get hurt/shot at, and when your health recharges back to it's maximum capacity.

There are also particles that attempt to recreate the visual look of a Spartan's shields recharging

Anyway, this doesn't come with any fancy GUIs or anything, so I definitely recommend you also use one of the few health bar mods on here, like Visolator's: https://blocklandglass.com/addons/addon.php?id=752

On May 12th, YTMND, the website that allowed users to create their own simplistic web pages, has shut down because quote - unquote "it was no longer cost effective to keep the site running", so RIP, a piece of internet history now lost to the sands of time

For those who don't know, since 2001, YTMND has been a source of and the host of many of the internet's oldest memes, but attempting to load up the website will just result in a generic error page now

At most, the owner of the website allowed the team over at Archive.org to archive the contents of the website

Add-Ons / [Texture Mod] Plastic/Shiny Bricks

A simple modification of the brickSIDE texture that makes the whole side of bricks, and parts of the player model that use that texture, shine like actual, plastic, interconnecting building blocks, instead of just the edges of the texture being shiny

Installation instructions
Extract the ZIP file to your main Blockland directory, but just to be safe, go to Blockland's base/data/shapes directory and go to the properties of brickSIDE.png and make sure it's set to 'Read-only' so that the Blockland launcher doesn't automatically overwrite the file
