Yes, I'm aware I didn't use fancy shaders this time. I only wanted to make the Roblox HQ fancy. These I just felt like doing to get it done.

As my year long hiatus has ended, I felt like it was necessary to come back to this community with something that'll surely surprise them, or piss them off.

I present to you, a replica of the ROBLOX World Headquarters, built by Builderman on our most beloved competitive building game.

Now for words

I built this out of boredom, because why not. stuffs and giggles I told people. I saw that someone else built one tower a couple years back, but I felt it should be revived. I don't like the game anymore, though I used to play it back in 07 through 10, when it was actually kind of good. Everything you see I tried to scale as exact as the actual build in the other game, which I had kept open. The only thing I couldn't replicate was the trees, because spheres. I also noticed I missed a wall in the basement, minor mistake.

I was intending on building the whole entire thing seen here, but the terrain became far too tedious to complete. If I do get around to it in the future, I might finish it, as the whole map would be interesting to explore in Blockland.

Suggestions & Requests / Audi R8

Hi i'm back from the dead and I've bugged Filipe to make an Audi R8 so that I can enjoy playing Blockland again.

Of course he denies it as he's too busy driving golf carts off cliffs so, someone make the Audi R8 so I can play Blockland again.



It could look kind of similar like this, in stockiness and model, just as long as it has some key features like the side air intake and back engine and LED head light design.

General Discussion / Blockland popping up in the younger generations?

So I was riding home from school, and I hear two kids talk about Roblox. Well of course this caught my surprise because the majority of me growing up on the computer was that game. I went to look, saw that indeed, it was Roblox, a little more furnished than back in my day and definitely showing it's ripped off ideas from Minecraft.

This brought my curiosity in when they'll start saying "Hey let's play Blockland!"

I haven't seen nor heard a kid who's in a grade lower than me, or even above (I'm a sophomore grade 10) say anything about it. I started the Blockland thing in our area and now the only one who even thinks about it. I'm curious to see if any kids from say, the elementary schooling or middle school (grades 8 and below) even play the game. I'd find it a tad surprising because of Blocklands radical community, but it would also be weird to see a kid on the same server I'm at and actually know me from school, somehow.

Has it occurred to anyone else that kids in their area, or friends or just people who you haven't told about Blockland, they've just found out on their own, have started playing? It's still a small game in terms of others, but its's been out there and I would almost not be surprised if I saw at least one kid on it.

Anyone have these little nostalgic trips or surprises of these random kids playing the same game you sit your ass in front of 15 hours a day?

Gallery / Halo CE's Pillar of Autumn Bridge (Interior only)

I've always been into Halo, mainly for the long storyline that plays out perfectly, but also the small things like armor detail, ship classes, other planets even.

The POA is my favorite ship among the UNSC fleet, particularly because it's not just the first important location you start out in the whole gaming series, but because of it's history beforehand, it's selective characters that ended up on it, and the general architecture of it.

Since of course building the whole ship's exterior, would be a hassle (I'll eventually feat once modter works inside zone bricks) I've settled for something a little smaller; The Bridge.

The bridge is the most important part of a ship because it is where the controls are, the brains basically. It's the first location in Halo CE that you receive your AI (Cortana) and it's also the first place you talk to a higher ranking officer (Captain Keyes). Not only do I love the story and gameplay, but also the feel of the bridge. It's surprisingly small compared to the rest of the ship, which makes it pretty unique.

I tried hard to replicate what I could from the Pillar of Autumn model on Garrysmod, since I lack the original game to do a comparison. It's just the interior of the bridge.


































I did the pictures with no shaders on because I wanted to have "light" inside, unlike the last picture. I could have ran it on Min. but my computer doesn't like that, I was able to take a shadow shot. My computer can run shadows, but it just drops the FPS like bass. There's also a lack of good computer screen and other sci-fi prints for vertical bricks and such.

But here is my build! It's just interior, don't really expect more from it unless I decide (and modter + zone fix) to do something more! You may rate!

General Discussion / Blockland forums still running slow?

I know there was talk about the whole servers on the forums switching or something, during the time of the Spellcheck was removed (RIP)

I've kept a log of my timings within the last week. These are the most excessive ones.
This doesn't happen on any other website ever, it's only been Blockland, and it's nothing to deal with the type of thread or anything, I've kept comment about where I was going that took so long.

Creativity / Chernobyl Gas Mask Poster (More pictures of other nuclear stuff!)

My Chernobyl Gas Mask poster. I drew it last night, and it took a good two hours. I’ve gotten really interested with Chernobyl and the Nuclear Accident. The first picture is a thick bold edit, just using an Auto-Level and filling in cracks and cleaning up unwanted spots (Using Paint.net program).

The second picture is the clean vanilla scan of the drawing. It’s a little light, but that’s my printers fault. I didn't want to darken the pencil so you could see it only because I wanted a clean version, no edit.

The Third one is a poster I threw into Obama Poster Maker¹ just for the fun of it. I had to keep the blue text box so I added Nuclear Power, hence the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Drew some more Nuclear related stuff. This is just a wall in front of a nuclear power plant cooling tower. On the wall you can see protest posters, and an ironic recycling bin to the right. Suppose to show that people always talk about going green and trying to safe the planet yet we still have nuclear power plants.

Off Topic / Abortions? Yay or Nay?

What's the forumers opinion about abortion? Is it "Killing a child!" or "Ridding a woman of a fetus which is just skin!"

I personally am for abortion. It's the womens body and she can do as she pleases concerning her health. I believe that a baby can harm a premature mother, or that it wasn't her fault with having the baby (rape, incest, etc) and that a baby could financially, emotionally, and physically deprive a family / the mother.

I believe if you're using abortion as a birth control because you wanted to have love and decide to do so unsafe and with no intent for raising a child, shame on you.

Off Topic / More RAM, Better Graphics card, better Processor?

So I was sent back to my PC because I had to hand in my Macbook Pro, which is just a computer issues laptop. I'll get it back when the school year begins but until then I'm stuck on my Acer Desktop.

 Playing on Filipe's server I realized how downgraded my desktop is in comparison to my MacBook Pro. I was able to run a large number of bricks, vehicles, and have a large draw distance without gittering or lag, but I can't on my Desktop. The Macbook ran with an Intel Processor so that's why I couldn't run shaders above Min. but that alone was pretty with sun flare and sun glowing. Just having shaders on Min. on my desktop greatly reduces my FPS.

I asked my dad if I had the money, if I could get a better graphics card, or better RAM.

A few questions came up though, like

Should I go with a better graphics card? I have NVIDIA GeForce 9200.

Should I get a better processor? I have AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 4050e (2 CPU's), ~2.1GHz

Should I get more memory? I have 2814MB RAM (2.74GB)

I also have DirectX 11.


Any suggestions what I should do to to umpth my computer? I'm gonna clean it out in a little it, dust wise, that usually works, but for any long term additions that would make playing videogames much easier?

I agree with the first bold statement because even though we got the shader update, most all that's been coming out are bug fixes and add-ons. We have an amazing modding community. The developers need to focus on things that the community cannot do. (Engine updates, actual game updates)

I dunno about you guys, but I'd like to have done maps back. At least when you sucked at building you could goof off on a mountain or explore a sink, now you have to build the mountain, and if you're as bad at building as I am, that can be a problem!

can't we try to make something where shaders would be disabled when playing terrain?
Idk about you, but I'm to laggy to use shaders anyways.

Can anything be done Badspot?

does anybody agree with me when I say we should bring back the maps fir the game? Not that I don't like the slates, They are ok, but C'mon man, removing the maps? If you ask me we should bring them back.

Since V21, noobs have been complaining about the departure of interiors/terrain.

I would like to request a rule that players can not create topics such as "BRING BAKC TERAIN PLS!111!!!1q"
I think the appropriate ban time should be 3 days, as new forumers will be posting this, so a small ban should give them the right idea that this should not be acceptable.

I have noticed a lot of these topics in the past year, but unfortunately I cannot find any for this topic, I think they have just been deleted by a moderator.

I have added a poll regarding the length of the ban.

You kind of get my point. It's becoming so annoying to see the same thread over and over about "We should have maps back why won't we have maps back cmon it makes blockland funner lets have maps i cant even run shadows"

It should be a rule that you are highly advised not to post about the maps, because it's annoying. They should understand that maps are not coming back unless Badspot decides to do something, and it looks like he's very content with the shadows because it makes for easier updates.

I did some looking and from all of the peoples reactions, and the stories, it's just like another SOPA bill.

Off Topic / Religion Poll (Please take a second to take!)

I've been pretty interested in the religious ratio on Blockland, I'm assumed that the majority is Atheist / Agnostic, but there's all sorts.

If you want to argue, I suggest you at least know what you are talking about, if you are to just bash someone, or tell someone their religion is false or they are going to hell, save the breath, it's not worth it.

Any real discussion should be focused at the percentage of the polls, or religious relativeness with Blockland.

Feel free to put your input on religion, a story, what and why you believe it. This could be a good oppertonity to share a little as to why you believe what you do.
And if you don't have a believe and simply say "I believe in nothing" please don't make it sound disrespectful like "I don't believe in a stupid god" kind of deal.

Just be mature guys. Good talk.

My religious believe is mostly Humanist. I believe there is a God but I put my values above religious traditions and sacraments. I'm also very disgusted with churches and mainly anything that associates WestBoro. I'm Pro-Gay and I've argued people to the bone with this situation and I still will not change my views.

Gallery / Replica Saturn V Rocket

Since a few people have made some rockets already, I decided to try my luck and create the Ironic Saturn V rocket. (also KSP is brokish so i'm putting my rocket science into blockland)
Time Spent: Three hours
Mass: 2647 bricks.
Height: 272^2/3 Studs tall (Four 64x cubes plus 16x cube plus 2/3 brick
Width: Fits inside a 32x baseplate
Density: All hollow (Since most of it is fuel tanks anyways.

Small distorsion because the rocket was too big to take a picture of it alone so I had to take several and crop ontop of eachother
