Off Topic / Random cat rushed through my door

I heard meowing and I figued my cat just wants in, so I open the door and this fat thing comes rushing in.
It's so nice and I can't just pick it up and shove it out the door.

Ignore my dirty room, I had some friends over and they trashed the place

I know it's just a number and yada yada yada, but I find it an accomplishment, that's a lot of wasted well spent time.

I failed my English class for my first semester so I'm retaking it online right now.
The guy that programmed this webpage has the answers right in the code. All I have to do is open it in firebug and the answers are right there.

Off Topic / How the forget do I stop my dad from killing himself? EDIT: He's OK now

His friend found him trying to kill himself and I went over and he was all cut up and laying on the ground with alcohol everywhere and she claims she hid his guns but I'm pretty sure she doesn't know about his 9mm. He yelled me out and I'm not sure what to do.

Update: He's in the hospital now so everything is okay.

I was just sitting there, minding my own business, when this nasty looking spider came out of nowhere behind my monitor. I jumped into action to find something to squish it with - but to no avail, I couldn't find anything appropriate. I quickly picked up a mighty TV remote and attempted to smash him, but he was faster. He jetted under my desk and I can't find him.
I know he's lurking somewhere...waiting to attack. :c

Off Topic / Salt and ice on skin trick

So I was in my home ec. class when I noticed 2 of my friends with ice on the top of their hands. They took it off and proceeded to tell me that when you have salt on your skin then set an ice cube on top if it with salt on top of the ice cube it gets painful. I wanted to see who could do it the longest so they put it on their other hands and we did it at the same time. They eventually pulled it off in pain and I sat there, feeling proud of myself for being tougher about it. I left it on for another minute than them too. They were breaking out in laughter eventually so I attempted to pull it off but it was merged with my skin.

I freaked out and ran my hand under water. What I saw when the ice cube fell off freaked the forget out of me. All 5 kids freaked the out and ran out so they wouldn't get caught for doing it to me. The area under the ice cubes were extremely white, like snow and my hand was was as hard as a rock. It has no feelings in it whatsoever and my skin was all forgeted up. Eventually it thawed off and blistered up. I still don't have feeling in that area now and my hand is turning purplish red. I think I have frostbite and the only thing I can feel is a faint stinging sensation. :c

tl;dr: Ice + salt on skin = frostbite fuuuuu. Now read it.

Anyone else hear about this?

Off Topic / Found kitty on my porch.

This morning I woke up  to go to school and this kitty was on my porch meowing. It immediately  went up to me and started rubbing on my leg. I sat down and it jumped in my lap purring. I gave it some food but my mom won't  let me keep him/her. What do? :c

Off Topic / Can I use AT&T data on my phone with my T-Mobile service?

We live in an area where T-Mobile only provides 5-10kb/s, which is practically un-usable.
My mom pays for AT&T unlimited internet on a USB broadband adapter. I was thinking that maybe I can set my Android phone to go off the AT&T and use T-Mobile as voice and stuff. Is this possible?

Off Topic / Windows 7 Takes Long Time to Boot and Programs Freeze all of a Sudden

So one day my computer suddenly started slowing down, to the point that it became unusable (really, I was getting 1 frame per 10 seconds) so I had to a hard shutdown.
Now Windows 7 takes 5 minutes to start and when it does, all programs will freeze for a minute after 10 seconds of use, and will only go about 20 seconds without doing it again.

I thought it was some nasty virus, so I attempted to boot into safe mode, but it hangs on one of the files, the letters turned pink, and shut itself down, so I decided to completely format and re-install Windows 7, but the problem still persists, and I don't know what to do.

Is my RAM failing or something? Just today I spent all my money on a heatsink and some case fans, but I haven't gotten them yet, so I'm out of money. I don't know what to do.

Off Topic / Ants EVERYWHERE

Last night I left the door open until about 8pm and there are loving flying ants with wings and stuff everywhere in my room.
They are covering the ceiling and walls. When I opened my laptop there were like 20 running around on the keys, and I had to go on a rampage and smash them all just to access my desk. Last night I got bit like 3 times and slept on the couch.

How 2 clear flying ants?

Off Topic / Social Club Login Failed. Please Try Again.

I got GTA IV for my birthday a while ago, and all this time I've had it, I've been playing offline because I can't login to social club. It works fine on the website, but when I try to do it by launching GTA IV, it just gives me "Social Club Login Failed. Please Try Again."
I want to play multiplayer but I can't offline.

Off Topic / Help me get rid of this Stupid Guest Pass

Ever since TF2 has become free, this has been showing up


And it's really loving annoying because I can't click ignore, the button goes down and plays the clicking animation, but nothing happens, it just sits there.
The problem is that it just keeps popping up during games and it's really pissing me off. Help me get rid of this.

Off Topic / Quick Question About Motherboard RAM Slots

I'm about to get a motherboard, and I noticed that it has 2 DDR2 slots and 2 DDR3 slots. If I have 3GB of DDR2 and 4GB of DDR3, will that show up as 7GB total, or only use DDR2/DDR3?
