Off Topic / Steam is not working.

For some reason steam or steam games won't open.

I double click, the loading icon for vista appears on the mouse for a split second on nothing happens.

Suggestions & Requests / V19 Suggestion: Footstep Sound.

It always bugs me how a person can sneek up on you and you never see it coming. I think in the next game update footstep noise should be default. There will be one basic noise for walking on bricks which you will be able to edit on bricks to make different noise. When you change the footstep sound of a brick, bricks that are the same shape and color that are touching it will get that sound.

EDIT: V19 just came out? I didn't know!

I've been to servers with the players able to buy items with points. I want to do this for a CTF I am making.
In the spawn room there will be a desk that will be the store. You will click on the 1x1 print plate with the "?" to see how to use the store. Press the ! to start browsing. When you browse a window will come up for avaible items. Drag your item in the cart to select the item. When you select an item press the information button to see details on the weapon taken from the script. Those details will be stuff like "20 damage each hit" of information put in by the creator. (Bushido hint hint.) Press the buy button to buy your selected weapon. Press the canel button to decline the buy. The items will be displayed on a plate, unable to grab without paying. Only certain items will be able to be bought by certain classes. Your class will be set by an event. "OnActivate-Player-setClass-(classname)" You don't need to have classes, it's a setting. Do you think Blockland could make use of this mod?

Off Topic / My computer is finally fixed!

For the last two weeks I have not played Blockland or other computer games. Finally it's fixed.

The first week my family tried figuring out what was wrong by themselves, which they had no idea what they were doing.
Finally we bring it to this awsome computer guy who makes custom computers and works on computers. He figures out that the graphics card we had burned out from me playing games like Blockland, TF2, Half-Life, etc. So I have it back now.

Suggestions & Requests / Vertical Missle Firing Plane.

Basically some what of a bomber but it fires missles in the direction of bombs.

The point of this plane is for accurate land-to-air combat. It would be much more accurate than other bombing planes but less damage and explosive radius. It would be somewhat faster than a bomber.

I wonder if there actually was ever a clan rivalry or war. I've never heard of one in blockland.

Suggestions & Requests / Natural Warfare (Elemental Weapons)

A pack of weapons and players that use forces of nature to fight. There will be players such as fire, water, earth, etc. A certain player can do more damage to a player by element.

For example a Fire player will do more damage to an Ice player and take less damage from the Ice player, but will recieve more damage from a water player and do less damage on the Water player.

The class will have class-specific weapons, and like a kill streak, players will be able to support their team with the points they have and use them to do things like heal the team-mates around him or make their weapons stronger for a short period of time.


To tell who is who, there will be decals that come with the game-mode which players automatically have a player-type.

Suggestions & Requests / Event: Spawn activation and deactivation.

Say you want to make a TDM with control points, the teams are red and blue. When a contol point is captured by a team like red, then where blue spawns is changed. Since spawns can still work when having their rendering, collision, and ray casting off you can't do it. Imagine an event that make spawn unable to spawn players. It would work like this example:

OnActivate-NamedBrick-ActivateSpawning
                  BlueSpawns

OnActivate-NamedBrick-DeactivateSpawning
                  BlueSpawns

Every spawns default setting is activated. Activated means players are able to spawn. Deactivated means unable to spawn.

Games / creep bears in TF2

I've been on severs with stuff relating to the creep bear. One you can wear a creep bear hat. Another, at the end of the round, your camera shows the scout sucking his thumb then there's a creep bear pyro.

A mini-gun on a tri-pod stand that works with bot events. The sentry is able to be moved by any player, team players if it is on a team vehicle spawn. Its bullets would do small damage but will be fired at a high rate. One bullet would take away 10 HP. It's size would be half the height of a blockhead and two times wider than a blockhead.

The MW2 mini-gun is the only thing I could think of that looked like my idea. :/

Suggestions & Requests / Breakable and unbreackable brick events.

I always want players on my TDMs to be able to break bricks but not those that protect the players at the spawns. So I am always subjected to turning brick damage off and not using the wonderful physics. So why not events turning a brick or bricks breakable or non-breakable.

Here's an example.

Off Topic / Where's your Hot Topics now?

Well, I just noticed that the hot topics like "Hot Girls" "Hot Boys" and "Hot Anime Girls" have basically been forgoten. It was only a few days ago that there was a topic raving about the hot topics, now it's on like page 6 or something. So should we bring them back, restart them, or just plain forget about them?

Darklight made some general server achivments currently on V9.
What about some achivments for TDMs?

When the is no mini-game the Achivments are general, when a mini-game is up the achivments change according to game-mode.

Achivment ideas:

Juggernaut.
Take twice the damage that your life can hold without dying.

Like a knife through butter.
Kill a player with a melee weapon in one hit.

A wall made of cardboard.
Capture all control points in siege without dying.

Post your ideas.

Ever since I got Steam on my computer I've wondered what it could be like if Blockland was put on the Source engine. What potential of gameplay would Blockland have?
