OFFICIAL 2016 STANLEY CUP THREAD

I know there's hockey fans here. I think we need a general thread so we don't make one for each team or whatever.

In case you don't know what the Stan Lee Cup is, it's the World Series for hockey for every hockey team in North America except the Canadians.

So show your support for your favorite team, get angry at every other team for bribing the refs, and pray for a better world where your team actually wins for once.

I found this silly thing when looking up name generators. Put your forum name or real name, select number of powers and post results.

Nikki has mastered the ability to steal the weapons of her attackers and use it against them. She also developed the talent to cause her foes to become out of control during combat and she is able to transform her body into rock. Nikki has been known to confuse the memories of a rival. Terribly, Nikki becomes clueless in the presence of fluid.

I turn 15 today. Yay. I'm amazed I've gotten this far. I'm probably getting sushi later. Tomorrow I'll be seeing the hunger games.

I don't know what I want to get. Should I get art supplies, books, or something cool from the comic book store? I don't really know, discuss birthday cakes and cool stuff you want for your birthday. :I

Off Topic / Let's write a Valentine Day Card!

There's this cute guy I see sometimes in the hallway. I haven't interacted with him much in any way except paying for his bus fare once  .

I have no idea what he's like, but he looks really cute (So he's probably a major starfish pretty boy). I was hoping to compose a Valentines candy gram so I can get over these feelings for him, but I don't know what to write. I know this sounds extremely stupid, but I already bought the damn thing and it was like a dollar.

Here's where you guys come in. I want you guys to help me write it. It's one of those "Let's write a letter to..." sort of thing. Every word in this thread will be put into the letter. I'll stop writing it after 12 AM CST. I'm not sure if this should go to Community Projects, but it'll probably get more coverage here. I'll take a picture of the card when it's done, so you all know I actually did write this and will send it.

Please no inappropriate stuff, I will omit the words to a more school appropriate term. There's no limit to what you post, but please try not to put too much in one post, I'm sure you all have kind things you want to say.

Also, last person to post before midnight gets to choose my alias for the letter.

Oh gosh I am so excited!

I need suggestions to what I should ask them when they're on stage (they'll be answering questions I think) and what should I get them to sign. I really hope I can take a photo with them. That would AMAZING!

Anyways, discuss Mythbusters, the tour or anything or help me figure out what to get sign or ask them. :D

Off Topic / Dilemma on Tickets

Okay, I want to buy tickets to two events, but I can only go to one due to expenses.

The first event is the Mythbusters Tour. They're going to be stopping in Indianapolis. I really want to see them. My mom is possibly willing to drive me there. It's around 60 bucks for one ticket

The Other one is for C2E2, Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. This will be my first convention. It looks super fun, it's 50 bucks for a weekend pass (I should've bought one early). I'm not sure if my parents will let me go, but they might.

Which one do you think I should go to?

Can someone recommend me a good tasting energy drink that can last a while? I've just pulled an all nighter and I'm probably gonna be piss ass tired in the morning. It's gotta last me 7 hours at most. I'm never taken an energy drink before, I don't want to buy one and end up buzzed the entire day.

Off Topic / Rowing

I haven't been on the forums much too lately. I've taken up rowing, I practice every day but Thursday and Sunday. Somehow, I manage to get my homework done. Anyways, we row in the Chicago River everyday typically. Some interesting things I've seen in the water are; used condoms, a drug syringe, a hospital bracelet and a dead catfish. Today, I'm going to my first race that's on Sunday. Not sure if my team will be racing due to our inexperience.

Off Topic / Laptop Battery died

My battery finally gave up. I can no longer unplug my laptop without it dying. Do any of you guys know if I could exchange it for a new one? It's a Sony VGP-BPS9. I'm considering going to my Staples and give it to them, but I really need a new one and I doubt they'll give me one. Plus the price for one there is crazy.

I hate this. The company is so unreliable for Chicago. Thankfully I've got a laptop so I'll have a limited time before it dies. Even when this dies, then I've got my 3DS to play with. Most likely this will last all weekend.
