Help / Making a minigun, need the know-how on EVERYTHING
« on: February 11, 2011, 11:44:43 AM »
I've been seeing all of the weapons used in dogfights and I say that the old minigun just wasn't MINIGUN enough. The Gatling barrel was too long and the way it was held was just wierd, and the spinning just looked like it was going back and forth and back and forth.

SO... I'm going to make an improved version of the minigun by adding the following:

-barrel spin-up sounds

-vibrating screen when shooting

-slightly higher accuracy

-chest support that will look like the minigun is actually supported by the body

-portable version that is less powerful and shoots at a slower rate but is a lot more accurate

-smaller bullet sizes because this thing will actually shoot 50 rounds per second (except the portable version)

The only problem is, I don't know JACK about making weapons. If you could teach me the basic programs and scripts needed to make it work right, post it here and I'll do my best.

Hello, random person. This is the official unofficial topic for Ladcorp. Research and Building, (RaB,) where our motto is: "doing and building, no matter what it is." (motto still pending with Ladezkik.)For those of you who've never heard of it, I'll tell you about it later. for now, we have news. Recently, Ladezkik has declared a MAJOR reform of Ladcorp. from military-style builds and projects to more sleek, portal-ish builds that use a sh*tload less bricks. Our newest project is the Ladcorp. Private Cubical Administration Facility, or more commonly known as The Qube. EDIT: It is now Cult of Moustachio's clan base. Although unimpressive on the outside, it is a total city inside. It's still under construction, so that means that it still is up for grabs for contributors and admins. If you want to help, please scroll down to  the "Contribution" tab of this topic. And now for pics :D

This is an image of one of the old labs. This particular area was in a secret basement and was devoted to zombie research. However, when the zombies broke out and infested the basement, we had to permanently close off that section.  :cookieMonster:

This is a picture of the new Qube Servers Room, located in the offices hallway. As you can see, the room uses a LOT less bricks than the above photo, despite being approximately the same size. (I also built it. I'm awesome. :D)

This is a photo of the front desk HelpBot. He answers any questions you might have.

If you want to be a major contributor and admin and have your own office, please consult Ladezkik and follow the rules listed below:

-Make sure that the build is large and cool looking.

-Make sure that it is interactive and uses event contraptions.

-Be aware of the build theme; we don't want a midieval broom closet in the middle of a nuclear testing chamber.

-Don't make it so that people below 10 years of age will go, "Eewww! what's that?"

If you can follow these rules and Ladezkik accepts, you've probably earned your own office!

-=CONTRIBUTORS=-

The following people have either contributed or are administrators of Ladcorp.

Ladezkik - Ladcorp. CEO and server hoster.

Ill Nino - build contributor responsible for providing our people with lulz.

Beachbum - major build contributor who built the Qube's "Shrine of Spam"

BL00XER - major build contributor and one of the oldest remaining Ladcorp. members; responsible for building the Qube Servers Room.

Provide your feedback, suggestions, and comments in the comments section! hurr durr...

Gallery / Blocko Spies Episodes preview
« on: August 01, 2010, 06:32:02 PM »
Antares is starting a new episode string called 'Blocko Spies' in which 4 spies work to protect Blockland (specifically San Andreas and other major cities) from crime and major threats. but why am I posting this instead of Antares? 2 reasons:
1: Antares was sleeping when I posted this
2: he asked me to (I'm the 4th spy)

here's the link to a video preview:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfaMZoTwgpA

I was the red guy. Antares filmed.
Also, at the scene where the jet bombs us I was running like crap cause i saw it and I was like "ZOMG RUN AWAY GREEN GUY!!!"

Don't flame me, talk to Antares if you have a problem.

Gallery / The Inheritance (73.54% complete)
« on: July 12, 2010, 08:18:55 PM »
This started as a build inspired from comr4de's dogfight that Albatross saw. The build caved in due to boredom and 4 months later I showed my friend Andrew Price. He immediately liked it and I decided to work on it a bit. Once I got the rotors done, I decided to fix up the bow. Then i realized I could fix this. about time I realized, too! lol... Anyways, the next day I got a LOT done. So far this is what I have done.

This is an overview of the ship. It IS incomplete, so it'll look a lot better later on.
Those black dents on the hull are MISs. (Magnetic Impulse Stabilizers).

Here's a closer view of the MISs. the hole in the hull on the bottom left is a turret point.

He'res a view of both of the MAS swarm Fighter hangars. They are big. The ship in the background is andrew's.

This is the landing pad for multiple F-18s. the way it's just baseplates dangling is laughable, but I'm working on this. So do not flame me.

These are the huge rotors. I stood there to give ya a size comparison. Not yet evented.

Here are the rotor transmissions. That gold blob is the centrifigural thingamajig that does all the spinning. Lotsa people wondered what it was. Like me.

Well, that's the Inheritance for now. I can't wait till I can complete it. If ya wanna see it in person, come to Andrew Price's server.

NOTE: When uploading a pic, I once got a suggestion for something very, very research. I hate trolls.

EDIT: the carrier part idea completely caved in. It now does not have those spammy baseplates in the back.

EDIT: credits go to:
Albatross: for making the bow and most of ballast

Andrew Price and Digital: supporting the completion of it by letting me build it on their server

Once again, Albatross: for checking out comr4de's dogfight and getting the whole party started.

Gallery / Blockland Ads
« on: June 17, 2010, 05:40:01 PM »
We all know how [GSF]Ghost changed Blockland. His maps, so intricate and detailed! And especially the city maps, with thair ads that actually make a point and are amusing. Too bad that Ghost quit, but who's to say that's it with BL ads? That's what this thread is for. In case any rookie(or pro) mapmaker comes along and needs a good idea. share map ideas and Blockland ads here. And to prove my point, I have an ad for that awesome sports car made by that genius phydeoux, the Turismo.

This is an average screenshot, no DOF. Although it clearly states that the Turismo is the center of attention, people can wander off and look at the even more detailed background. This is good for small ads so they can look cool.

This is a DOF screenshot. The main difference between this and the one above is that this one has the background blurred. This really puts the attention to the car. Great for ads that are huge and are a first-see.

And of course, I had trouble with these. For one, I accidentally deleted my first Turismo, and so I had to spawn one with mission editor. but I think there were 30 that fell down to oblivion. Those cool headlights were just mission spawned player's lights, which gave me grief and caused me to delete THAT car. I had fun with the ads in the background, I used just the right color for just the right brightness for each ad, making them look real. And, of course, this is GSF New York City. And I think it is the single most f@#king huge map I've ever seen. I mean, I got lost trying to find times square WHEN I SPAWNED RIGHT NEXT TO IT. Wow... Ghost did something... Anyways, that's just to show ya what I mean.

General Discussion / Questions: It's what's for this topic.
« on: March 10, 2010, 07:20:51 PM »
Have you ever got this serious question, and no one cares to answer? This topic is best for you! I will post links of old add-ons faded away, answer questions about them or even answer questions about Blockland and the nature of noobs. And I have one rule: DO NOT INSULT NOOBS WHO ASK DUMB QUESTIONS.

Gallery / Oil Freighter
« on: February 13, 2010, 07:56:22 PM »
A classic oil freighter, it's color is light blue and I based it off of the LEGO Freighter and a bit off of Bones4's Titanic. Pics will come as soon as I learn how. If you know how to post screenshots, please tell me. Otherwise, Just comment on anything you think I could add. I've added so far:

crates lining the top of the ship

An anchor at the very front

3 watertight compartments and watertight doors

Engines and wires connecting them to the propellers

3 propellers

A comms tower with captain's controls

And that bulb thing jutting out from most supertankers.

If you know what to add on to this, feel free to ask me. also, please tell me how to post BL screenshots and you'll see for yourself.

We are (well, I am) filmmakers who reproduce 70's to 2009's hit films; including Star Blox, Indiana Block, Blockformers, Cloudy With a Chance of Blocks, and especially Blockformers, Revenge of the Bloxxed. Wanna join? go ahead, I need actors. (I am working on real transforming cars that turn into famous transformers, like Bumbleblock, Optimus Brix, and Ironstud.) TRANSLATION: Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and Ironhide. I am working on a secret transformer that will be a 16x scale. Can you guess who it is?
