Gallery / US Destroyer (Brickson Class) *new turrets, anchors* !WIP!

USS Brickson

This is just a ship I've been working on for the past couple of days, which I've spent around 10-12 hours on and off working to completing it. I'm happy about the end product although its still not quite finished yet, as I still need to do the bottom deck. Anyways, I based it mostly off the Benson-class Destroyer, but it does have a few inaccuracies (Not the same amount of AA batteries, dual torcreep tubes instead of quintuple tubes) but I hope it still looks the part and is somewhat satisfactory

Off Topic / Really quick question regarding the desktop and a short cut.

Basically, what short cut command makes it so that if you press "D" for example on the keyboard makes it highlight, for example "Day of Defeat" on the desktop.

It's quite annoying because it will make me unable to type letters like "D" or "C" in game like Mount and Blade: Warband in multiplayer. To fix it I have to restart my computer.

:EDIT: It also makes me unable to open the Windows menu through the Windows key for some odd reason.

Games / Help me figure out what this game was called

Basically, everything was white except the boats, planes, water, and sky, and the objective was to blow the enemy's reactor.

You also got a aircraft carrier in earlier versions, but then it was replaced something like conquest except that gave you resources to research stuff.

Anyone know this game?

Off Topic / My small little rant- "So-so didn't kill someone, so and so did!"

If you don't understand the title, I hate when people say "Obama didn't kill Osama Bin Laden!" or something similar.

Its like saying Riddler didn't kill 17 million people of varying races and religions, yet he did. He was the person who fired the gun, and the people who followed his ways were the gun.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

The same idea can be applied when Bin Laden was killed. Obama, although YES, he didn't "actually kill Bin Laden', without his leadership, we might NOT have killed Bin Laden. So, this is why I believe that he was the person who fired the gun, and SEAL team 6 were the gun. To put it into context, Obama sent the order to kill Bin Laden, while SEAL team six went into, YES, kill Bin Laden. And YES, I know I'm contradicting myself here, but I hope that you get my point.

It can be applied in other leaders as well. Stalin, President Truman, etc, etc.

Stalin: He killed millions of people as well, and in a way I think he started to shoot a gun and let it keeping firing

President Truman: Authorized the dropping of the atomic bomb, but in my eyes it save a lot more lives then just invading Japan altogether

Riddler: Killed somewhere I believe 17 million people, he starting firing the gun and the people who followed him were his "ammo" in a way.

I understand that people will ultimately disagree with me, but I just wanted to spit it out.

Games / I feel like new games are improving graphics but removing gameplay

This is simply only a example, I'm not bashing any particular game.

Original: Had decent graphics, great team play mechanics, good combat/ whatever the point of the game is (Like puzzles or something.)

New, modern title: Great graphics, minimum team play, generic gameplay (Like your regular FPS game, its almost always the same thing.)

I feel like most game sequels just copy the same mechanics from other games.

Why can they just make the original game have better graphics and better functionality, I would still get it. D:

Suggestions & Requests / Map where you float near Earth and you rotate with the Earth

This has probably been suggested before, but a map where you would orbit the Earth and could see all the Mountains and stuff at day and could see the city lights at night.

I've finally finished it, and I hope it looks better! I didn't really like the name, but I couldn't think of anything else. If you can think of something better, please post it. c;

As I've said, I'm posting this as an app for Oceanco. Please tell me what you think if your in it! :D

A note on the cannons, they fire both round and canister shot types, and have a reload time. There are 36 guns in total.

Please rate x/10 and post constructive criticism. Say why it looks bad or good.

:EDIT: New pictures! I was able to add a second gun deck. However, its a bit cramped in the lower decks.

Suggestions & Requests / Create custom colors in-game

Why? Because you can do it for your blockhead, and your environment, but not for your paintset.

You would still have premade paintsets, but on each paintset there would be a column of your custom paintset, that you could make in game.

This could work really well with this as well: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=204851.0, as you could create multiple colors and delete ones that you don't need, and then use the eyedropper tool to get the exact color again.

Off Topic / Brace broke off on my braces :c

I already put on some wax to prevent it from moving freely, and its still on the wire.

Bad thing is, they're not open till Monday.

Fuuuu...


The reason why it broke off was that I have this thing where I bite down on my back teeth. I do especially when my teeth feel sore.
Now, I got the brace on TODAY, so it was still sore. If it wasn't sore, I probably wouldn't have broken it off.

TL;DR: I broke my brace off from biting down to hard.

Also, question. Should I leave the wax on while I'm asleep, or should I remove it and put on another in the morning?

Off Topic / Wer_Fault problem on Windows 7

I need a some tech support please.

Whenever i try to start up World of Tanks, it wont start. I look in processes, and it says wer_fault every time i try to start it.
This happened to another program as well, TeamSpeak 3. However, the way i fixed it back then is not working.

This is what i tried already

1. Restarting
2. Disabling Wer_fault ( through services, under admin tools)
3. Reinstalling
4. Scan
Any help would be great appreciated.
