Drama / Spawnkillers on Legopepper's Dogfight
« on: July 12, 2013, 07:04:53 PM »
This drama mainly targets Blok (5821) and Cavic (20061). They've been on the Red Army spawnkilling the Resistance and there's even proof that Blok's been using an aimbot.

Here's the relevant chatlog with nothing cut out.

And then there's the last two panels with really important stuff:

If an admin could get on and ban these guys aswell as any other noobs aimbotting/teamkilling, it would be greatly appreciated.

Add-Ons / Bot Event: headTurn
« on: July 07, 2013, 10:57:42 PM »
At the current moment a bot can turn its head with PlayGesture> Ani_head. But you can not set it to where it turns it just goes to a random position. So I am requesting an output event that lets you turn the head with a slider.

Input> Bot> Turnhead> Slider from 0.000 to 2.000

The head starts at 1.000 and the larger the number the farther right it turns. By making said number smaller it turns it more to the left.

This addon is small and may be insignificant, but still needs its own topic. I included the slider described above, as well as a speed slider ranging from 0.2 to 1.0 where 1.0 is instantaneous and goes slower the lower you set it.

Needless to say, Bot_Hole needs to be enabled.

General Discussion / Slowsnow2's Deathrun!

Admin / Moderator Application
In-game name:
Blockland ID:
Timezone and time you'll be on:
Why should I make you admin or moderator?:

If you're applying for admin, your job will be to moderate the server-- using slightly more power than "moderators", build things that might be used later on in the server, like possible traps for a future deathrun, and/or communicate with other admins to make the server better (including informing Snow if someone is abusing their admin).
If we don't reply to you, we rejected your application. It's like how at the end of job interviews, they tell you they'll call within a week if they like you, because they don't have to deal with the trouble of telling you no. Edit your post to say if you no longer want to be an admin or mod.

Checkboxes show the value of a variable that is either 0 or 1 through using a check in a box, and when you click it, it changes the variable. Sliders, on the other hand, will store a variable between two values and when you click the slider it modifies the variable to fit the position of the slider.

The biggest difference is that if I change the variable the slider or checkbox represents through external code, the checkbox will change but the slider won't. I think this is because the variable of the slider is stored in the GUI and for the checkbox, it's not. How do I get around this?

Help / Corrupted ZIP files and Blockland failing to look inside them
« on: September 08, 2012, 06:16:49 PM »
After porting a skybox from my favorite map, the ZIP file got corrupted as my computer just LOVES to do to all zip files I manage with Windows Explorer. God damnit, I forgot to put namecheck.txt and description.txt in using 7Zip. Anyways, most of the time my computer does this I just hide the ZIP and create another one with a different name to make up for it. But for Blockland it seems to be different, in that it looks at the addon and crashes due to a failure to open it up.

The console says this when the addon tries to get loaded:
Code: [Select]
Add-On is in the list of known bad add-on CRCs - will not execute
When I say a ZIP file is corrupted, this is what I mean:

my computer is cursed

on the bright side, the only other place I've seen this happen is when I create zipped folders using windows explorer.

Drama / Glass - Challenge blocker and a drama queen
« on: May 16, 2012, 10:25:51 PM »
Server: Mold's Challenge

Glass was blocking me from getting to level 50, but I managed to get passed him. Beating level 50, however, would prove to be a nuisance.

As you can see here, Glass just stands there, staring at me.

Here is the chat log, all posted in chronological order with uninteresting stuff cut out...

Glass is probably a troll, but whatever.

Modification Help / Function to determine direction player facing
« on: January 04, 2012, 12:13:22 AM »
I need a function to figure out whether a player is facing north, east, south or west and then return 0, 1, 2 or 3. Also, if you could add in what this would be co-ordinate wise, that would be helpful too. Thanks

Drama / blocklandiansprofile, and everyone who feeds him
« on: December 24, 2011, 12:57:24 AM »
Blocklandian Tends To Talk Like This, and that's pretty much all he ever did to get hate. But people still hate him for that. He does not point it out directly, but people notice it, and he responds to just about everyone who points out how he talks Like This.

A good example, just read most of the first page except the OP

I do not see any other topics discussing this, except the one where he's spamming the IRC, and I don't want to bump that.

This is probably the first time I've actually done something constructive in GIMP.

Frankly, gaussian blur was the most helpful tool while doing this.

I don't know if this goes in Gallery, because isn't that only for builds in blockland or something

Modification Help / Help with syntax errors please...
« on: February 21, 2011, 12:33:24 AM »
So I'm making a script, that every time a non-SA spawns(or respawns), they get their playertype turned into no-jet.

Problem is, there's a syntax error somewhere that I can't seem to track down. It's probably in the RTB prefs, but I'm not exactly sure.

Code: [Select]
package(jetStealer)
{
function onSpawn(%obj, %client)
{
if(!%client = superAdmin)
{
%obj.changeDataBlock(noJetPlayer);
CommandToClient(%client, 'BottomPrint', "\c3Your jets have been taken away.", 3);
}
echo("The script is working.");
}

};

if(enableJetStealer = 1)
{
activate package(jetStealer);
}
else
{
deactivate package(jetStealer);
}

if(isFile("Add-Ons/System_ReturnToBlockland/server.cs"))
{
if(!$RTB::RTBR_ServerControl_Hook)
{
exec("Add-Ons/System_ReturnToBlockland/RTBR_ServerControl_Hook.cs");
}
RTB_registerPref("Enable Jet Stealer","Jet Stealer","enableJetStealer","bool","Script_Mychallengescriptasdf",1,0,0);
}
else
{
$enableJetStealer = 1;
}

Please help if you can, if you can't, thanks anyways.

Yeah, I know, the title is sorta long, but there's no real point in making it shorter...

Anyways, I have visited some challenge servers where there's just a map. I'm assuming there must be a script involved, because there's no minigame, and players automatically lose their jets, building, and painting when they spawn. There's also checkpoints that are built into the scripts, but I don't want to get that deep as there's already checkpoint bricks.

I was wondering if someone could make a version of that that would run on any server, compatible with dedicated servers, that does the following things:

• When the server is started, it doesn't do anything until an SA prompts /enable* (with * being something I havent thought of) and then disable it with /disable*.
• Super admins are not affected by the script at all.
• While the script is enabled, when normal players spawn, they will use the host's spawn bricks if they have any, and lose their jets/building stuff. If they die, when they respawn the same thing happens.
• While the script is enabled,no one is allowed to host their own minigames, normal admins ONLY have the capability to use their admin orb... Everything is limited so everyone must follow a challenge except SA, and possibly A if they cheat and use their admin orb.

The benefit of this is that I, and other people who decide to use this script, can just start hosting a dedicated server, connect, load the bricks of a challenge and finally enable the script. No one that then connects to the server will be able to do anything but play the challenge.

Post thoughts if you would please.
