Ok, so if I were to sync my friends iPhone with my computer to let him have my music, I ejected it and gave it back to him, and later he bought a song directly from the iTunes store to his iphone, would the bill go to my Apple Account or his?

The thing is, my sound works on everything else EXCEPT YouTube and YouTube embeds (and any other video site for that matter)

My volume on the comp is turned up as well as the sound on the websites for the videos.

Drama / The insane amount of loving forum games

I pulled these from the first two pages of the Off Topic board. These are all forum games or are threads that involve saying stuff like, "What makes you stuff at night" that usually involve 1-3 word replies for pages on end. This is getting way out of hand and it seems everyone and their mom is whoring to make the new "super popular forum game."

Good god just stop. I'm not singling out anyone specifically but rather I'm directing this toward the whole community. A few forum games are good but when it gets to the point where 40% of Off Topic is loving forum games that are usually poorly thought out/useless then we have a problem.

Off Topic / The First Presidential Debate

I watched a good portion of the presidential debate tonight (swapping between it and the new South Park) and I was quite surprised by the results and how the debate turned out. As always, Jim Lehrer was our debate moderator, posing the questions and setting forth the format of the debate. Unfortunately, the debate format was pretty much scrapped in the first segment as the originally 15 minute timeframe for tax reform spilled over to 25 minutes.

Nonetheless, the debate was lively but no one really gained the upper hand. I think that Romney was a little more charismatic and did a slightly better job of continually dishing out new figures and new data (whether or not any of these figures were true would require some research and detailed brown townysis of the debate itself) than Obama. Both candidates came well prepared and did a good job presenting their views. There wasn't really any knock out punch that will make swing voters lean right or left.


In my opinion, there was no clear victor, both Romney and Obama put up a good fight with some strong points and statistics, but I think Obama could've stepped up his game a little in terms of being more charismatic and presenting more data and statistics.


It is also notable to point out that Romney had a bigger American flag pin on his suit.

I took the ACT plus writing this September and it was hard as hell. I'm in my freshman year and I just made a 25 my first time around

I'm pretty happy with that but I think I can get up into the thirties if I don't forget up between now and my senior year

So I'm sitting here, ya know, playing some CnC Zero Hour when I get a call from +0000000000 or something like that

I pick it up and and Indian guy says, "Hello, my name is Steve and I would like to follow up on the information you entered to us about your higher education."

What the forget?

"I don't recall entering any information about my higher education."

"No no we're taking it right now."

What the forget forget?

"Oh ok"

"Now, we'd like to start with a few questions. What area are you interested in studying?"

"Umm I'd have to think.... Trollology probably."

"What? <names some random bullstuff field of study>"

"No no Trollology."

Then I played This  and he stayed through like 3/4 of it before hanging up.
Nothing like 12 year old humor lol

But now I'm starting to get paranoid, what if they BUGGED MY PHONE?

Off Topic / National Guard has been deployed to Anaheim, California

Following the protests of the police officers that gunned down two unarmed people who were "suspicious" and were suspected gang members, the national guard (or some sort of military forces) have been deployed to the town to help quell the protests.

Off Topic / Help Wobscure get votes to get to the top of this chart

Wobscure is an underground EDM artist who isn't very well known. He's 16 years old and makes some quality music (when it comes to EDM). Anyway a short facebook convo later and he wants us to help him get votes to the top of this chart. Apparently its a big deal and could probably help make his career.

Off Topic / My Dog Died :c

She was a roosterer spaniel with black fur. Her name was Jennie (like a geni in a bottle) and I got her when I was 3 or 4 years old. The memory is deluded but I can still picture her in the cage. All the other dogs were barking, jumping up on the cages at me as I walked down the isles. As I got to the end of one she was just sitting there staring at me wagging her tail. We opened the cage and she didn't bark and I petted her. She was kind of like a cat in that way. She would just kind of sit there and wait on you to pet her.

The people at the pound got her ready especially for me that day so I could take her home immediately and not the next day.

Time went on and a few days ago she got sick. She's been like this before and she recovered despite her health steadily falling. Her eyesight and hearing had gotten progressively worse over the years but she was still happy. We hoped she would get better but there was blood in her urine and she was lethargic. She would eventually make it outside to pee but she would just wander unable to find her way back until she just fell over. I went to my grandparent's for the weekend so I was spared the misery of having to look at her.

While I was away, Mother found a tick on her and we thought it was tick paralysis. Her condition improved slightly until it took a terrible dive. She stopped eating and her tongue kind of drooped to the side. It was apparent she had suffered either a massive stroke or a series of small ones.

This morning as I was coming home she was taken to the vet to be put to sleep. I'm told she died before the procedure was even over.


TL;DR: I lost my dog that I've had since I was a small.

Off Topic / Abortion - Pro-life or Pro-choice

Abortion and all relating subjects have been hard for me to decide on. If I'm going to take a stance on this I want to know both sides of the argument and I want to hear other people's opinions.

Both sides have good arguments IMO.

Post your beliefs on abortion/stem cell research/women's rights.

Off Topic / Help Thar partition his hard drive and use Windows with Boot Camp

This is a little difficult. I tried once already and a few problems emerged. When installing windows to a particular partition of the hard drive,  I had to format it so Windows could install properly. When I got on Windows, several drivers that were essential were missing. I couldn't access the internet due to the absence of certain drivers and I couldn't download games onto it and have them function properly due to the absence of DirectX drivers. I'm pretty sure I can get these of the internet but first I have to fix the internet.

It was also a huge pain in the ass to swap between to two OS's. For a while Windows was how it would start up and I couldn't get back to MAC. There was no bootcamp program in the control panel and I had to restart my computer and reset the Mac's PRAM in order to get back.

I unpartitioned the hard drive and removed Windows from the computer and I'm going to try again. I forgeted something up the first time.

I have a few different sources pulled up but I think it'd probably help if I had some computer savy users walk me through so here we go.

Also, any advice would be great.
