Games / I need reasons why you shouldn't be able to buy power.

So my friend and some people he know is starting a minecraft server. I saw him looking around in the spawn (i think).
There was signs for diffrent classes, and some of them you had to donate money to get. (around 3 of them, one of them were admin)
My friend thinks this is pretty stupid, but when we talked with his friend over skype, that guy thinks it good for some reason.
I'll loving hate it if they keep this, because buying power is one of the most stupid things someone can do.
Please give me reasons whe it's bad, and I'll show him some if I get good ones.

Gallery / RC car track modules 1.0 [Download]

I got inspiration from this video, and I wanted to build my race track. The idea of using the RC sapper as race cars is brilliant! They won't glitch into bricks all the time like normal vehicles, and their jumping abilities are great for lots of stuff. (Still wish there was a version wich didn't explode on inpact)
I've put together some easy-to-use dupe track modules. You simply duplicate the pink part of the piece you want to use with the duplicator addon, and then you place it where you please like a normal brick.
These are all the modules so far:
Didn't feel like making something complex, but I put together a small track:
The elevated bricks are WIP. I might change some other ones too.
The colorset used is trueno's colorset.

General Discussion / What computer should I use to play blockland?

Yeah.
I have my PC, and my mac.
My PC
pros:
I have an easier time building
Lots of good add-ons
I know the controls easily
Can host a fairly good server
cons:
Lags when there's ~10k bricks on the screen at the same time
Lags when there's too much emitters on the screen at the same time.
The alarm emote is loud as forget in first person
These cons are really big and makes the game much less enjoyable
My Mac
Pros:
Almost no lag at all. (starts lagging at maybe 80k bricks?)
Alarm emote isn't really loud in first person
Cons:
Crashes, freezes, won't load servers, sqlite errors, etc. (Blockland for mac is really broken)
No numpad, I can't build for stuff.
I can't set up good keybinds because no numpad = almost the entire keyboard is already taken.
I haven't got all my good add-ons which makes the game easier. (Though I could spend some time finding these)
These cons also make the game less enjoyable.
What should I do?

Should I save up for a good PC laptop?
Should I learn to build on my mac?
Should I just deal with it and go on?

Help / Blockland for mac - Chrashes/freezes/won't connect/won't find servers

Basically the game freezes anytime randomly, no error message, just freezes. This happends often.
Sqlite errors are a pain in the ass.
Often when I open up Blockland, it won't connect to the master server.
Often when I click the "join a game" button, the game won't load any servers. I can still connect to servers trough RTB.
In other words: Most of the times when I open up Blockland, I will have to restart it at least once, and then tt'll brobably freeze after a while anyways.

Help / Blockland crashing and decals messing up

I started hosting a server and out of nowhere in like 10 seconds of spawning I get an error message.
This has happened two times today.

Decals messing up.
Sometimes when I play and wants to change my characters face decal, it shows wrong. The decal in the little box is often all blank and the decal on the character is not the one I chose.

I'll jump right to the idea.
It looks like the dodgeball we have now (red, round.)
A random person in the minigame starts with the ball.
When thrown and hits a block, it can get picked up again.
When thrown, the guy throwing loses the ball out of his inventory.
If the ball doesn't get thrown in about 5 seconds, the guy holding the ball gets killed, dropping the ball.
If the ball hits a player, the player instantly dies.
There could also be a ball wich could hit walls 2 times before being able to get picked up.
This would be useful for dodgeball TDM's/DM's where the host doesn't want a billion red balls flying everywhere all the time.

Help / Alarm really loud in first person

The alarm emote is really loud and low-quality in first person.
This is really annoying since every time I use the alarm emote I get a dose of ear rape.
This did not happend to my old computer, so don't tell me it's not possible to fix.

Drama / ANx3h.exe - stole my build because I didn't let him help.

So this dude "ANx3h.exe" joined my server, saw my build and asked if he could help. I said no because I'd rather not work with some guy I don't know.
Proof:
(There was also another guy, but he wasn't really that stupid.)
(I told people over the general chat to ban him, so he pulled an argument out his ass to make it look like I lied to people.)
Most bricks in my build are default bricks, so this is a lie.
Notice how he turns into a internet tough guy and throw random insults at me and tries to make it look like a "joke" because he doesn't want people to ban him.
He says he only saved his own bricks. He had 1 brick for looking trough items. He said 10 bricks loaded. Another lie.
Please ban this guy, his ID is '30560'

I've made a DM
I'll post the drawing/map thing that I made wich will help me to build it.
Got inspiration from some ROBLOX place wich I used to visit when I still played ROBLOX.
Walls will be removed when I find a better way to limit the users to be in the area. I could just use invisible walls and make it look like there's a desert.
