What is Smashball?

Try again later! The game is still regaining its population, but the server will typically fill up in the evening. It won't be long until the server is full. Playing alone is no fun, so just come back later when players are on!

Modification Help / Unit Frames [Beta out!] (combat text? p2)

This is a small thing I have been working on. Since break is happening I can probably finish it by next week, but I need some design opinions before progressing (what would you guys like to see).

Here is a picture of it in it's current state:

Current Features:
-Unit Frames:
   -Shows the name of the player
   -Shows an avatar preview of the player (moves up and down as if running)
   -Shows health of player
   -(if self) shows energy of player

-Unit frame support for yourself, and a target/focus (more talk on that later)


Possibly planned features:
-Support for 'squads' (essentially parties in any mmo you've ever played)
   This is a lot of space on your screen to find!

-Scrolling combat text
   haven't really even started this yet so I am not positive if the way I am thinking is possible,
   but I'm sure I could make something work


Bugs/Design Issues:
-I can't decide on whether I want the second frame to be a target or a focus:
   Target: Most recent player you attacked (maybe even looked at)
   Focus: Someone you set and the frame will stay them until you decide otherwise
   Both: I could do both if I spend lots of time trying to get them to fit on the screen nicely
     (please post your preference)

-They are ugly
   I am really bad at graphic design, could someone help me with this pleaseee? :)

-Tilt the avatar a different way?
   Forward is kind of weird but I haven't had time to mess with it differently

-Should I even finish this?
   The use is very small, and won't be used widely at all


-Support for Iban's Health Bar Mod (server)
   Should I add support for the mod, so on servers you join, it will open up only yourself (you won't be able to focus or target anyone) and show that health?

-Should the name be the actual name of the player (in terms of focus frame (ONLY FOCUS)) or a nick name you write when you use the command to focus them?
   Not really sure why I am asking this but might as well

-Will all of this data being sent to and from server cause lag on many player servers?
   It sends avatar data (only when you create the unit frame on your screen) for all frames except yours
   It sends health very frequently (i don't think this will be an issue)
      I really don't think so, but might was well ask

sorry for the bad lighting and stuff (bad web cam) but I figured out how to bind the keys on a launchpad for building!

i used the same set up as the numpad setup because i'm used to it, but you could easily change it to something that could possibly work better for you!

(might still be processing so not 1080p yet)

done simply using automap 4 by novation

yeah basically were are recreating the thing because the old one is old

some new features!

you start as the 'true' form of the thing
     -you can slither to go faster
     -you can cling to celings above you
     -you can pull people with your 'tentacle' to eat them

after eating a blockhead, you become a sort of half human, half thing (picture c, first picture on second row), called abomination
     -you take the avatar of whoever you ate, so it seems like you 'became' them
     -you must get away from all other blockheads, then you can transform fully into the blockhead you took over

now that you are disguised, you can roam around other blockheads, granted they don't know its you!
     -you can transform back into the true form by attempting to pull and eat a blockhead

this continues until either the thing dies (human wins), or all humans are dead (thing wins)

this is planned to be released soon, as a full on gamemode

soon will be some beta testing

Modification Help / Blocktionary - Near Release!

Blocktionary is a small gamemode I created today that is essentially Pictionary. If you have never played, basically one person is trying to build something and others are trying to guess it. Super simple. You can play it on my dedi server right now if you like.

          Vokor was originally going a community about gaming and helping others. This worked for a couple days, but soon everyone but the admins and a few others became inactive. To the point of out of about 30+ members, 5 of us were active. After many months of this, I decided to kick all members that were inactive. This left five of us. We are now an elite group designed to destroy anyone in our way that likes to play games together and develop modifications together. With this change, we have decided to not accept applications to join. If you wish to join, be awesome and have the whole team like you, then there might be a chance we will let you in.

Information

   TheBlackParrot came to me with the idea of creating our own Infinite Mining, as others have made such as Red_Guy's Unlimited Mining, HonorMining, (the start of it all) Kalphiter's Infinite Mining, and more. I remember back when I was on the HonorMining coding team, it was a real pain to add ore and other things, and to just edit the code at all that Honor had before. To fix this, I recoded everything from scratch.

   Basically, we just wanted an infinite mining that had the features we wanted, without features that other mining's had (death-matching is a big one). We also wanted the ability to put in any feature we wanted on the fly. So far, our mod allows us this flexibility.

   Features:

      Tons of Ores
         We have a system to dynamically add ores to a text file, and with this creates it very easy to add or remove ores. We have added a bunch with this system.

      TNT
         You can use TNT to reveal all of the ores you want!

      Dirt Layers
         Many dirt layers, going from Sand down to Inner Core, the difficulty of mining dirt progresses as you get deeper!

      New Lava Behavior
         Different than most Infinite Mining's lava, ours kills ON TOUCH. You can buy lavasuits to delay this, but it happens. If you attempt to mine lava, you loose your pick as it melts, and must buy a replacement. To get rid of lava, you have to buy a water spray.

      Dirt Placer
         Place dirt to fill in those nasty gaps!

      Radiation
         Once you get low enough, radiation starts to occur on blocks. You can mine these blocks, and gain 3x their value in cash! The catch? There is a chance you will die from radiation poisoning! You can prevent this by buying Hazmat Suits.

      Lanterns!
         Personally, I don't like to use my player light, and wanted a static one to place, so I created lanterns! A player can only have one lantern at a time, and nobody else can remove it.

      Ore Protection
         If you start mining an ore, others will not be able to mine it unless you leave it alone for about five seconds. If you add them to your friends, they will be able to.

      More!
         We are constantly updating this mod with more features that get suggested (and that we like). Post a suggestion and it has a chance to be added!

Tips
   Some common tips might help!
  • There are many aliases for /levelPick, such as /lp, /levelPickAxe, /upgradePick
  • When using the /levelPick command, you can also type a number afterwards for the level you want to go up to!
  • You can use /lpall to upgrade as many levels as you can using all of your money!
  • You can give others money by using /GiveMoney Who Amount or /GiveCash with the same arguments.
  • You can get unlimited jets by saying /buyJets, they cost $5,000
  • You can buy a shrink ray to be the same size as a block by saying /BuyShrinkRay, for only $10,000!
  • You can look at blocks and people, then press E to view some statistics about them!

Add-Ons / [FAILED] Custom Loading Screen (By Munkurious)

Custom Loading Screen


Description
After many people wanting ONLY the loading screen part of Blockland Air, I decided to redo it so it's nice, less buggy, etc.
That's all it does. It is a new loading screen. Nothing more to say.

If you want to use a custom font (I prefer Roboto), get TheBlackParrot's Chat Customizer! Change the font in it, save, and restart Blockland!

There should be no bugs now.

Modification Help / [Discontinued] Blockland Air - Little Skin

TheBlackParrot and I were making some skins the past few weeks, but have decided to come to a stop on working on them. We have decided to release our last build, as buggy as it is, as it is stable enough for both of us to use it so anyone else who wants to can. The best part is his modified Gui.

Warning: This Add-On does have bugs, part of it is inconsistency. We do not plan on fixing these, use at your own risk. If someone wants to pick this up and attempt to fix these, let me know.
