Badspot i love the new add-on system, but even if you have the add-on you still have to download it from others.

I'd suggest a check being made so when you join and it detects the need for certain files, it checks the zips for them first. If they are there it would be so much quicker to extract it strate from the zip then to download from another pc. So it would extract straight to a new folder with the same name as the zip.

If i am the only one who seems to have a problem please tell me what needs changing in my settings or what not so i dont have to constantly download.

Modification Help / Modeling Blender

I recently downloaded blender with the .DTS export.
I learned how to make the empties and armatures with bones. etc...
I even learned materials and what not.
But when I place my model in blockland it is only visible in first person view.

I first made a simple box mesh, and then added an armature with a mountpoint bone.

Then exported it as a .DTS and renamed it pistol to replace the pistol.

After replacement I could see the box in my hand in first person, but in third person it wasn't visible.

So I figured it was a texturing problem.

I learned texturing and made the box black.

Same as before I replaced the pistol and the box was black in first person, but still invisible in 3rd.

Yes it still could shoot and emit muzzle particles in both first and 3rd person.

Any help would be apreciated greatly. Thx

I need an item to not pick up until a variable equals one.
Then it checks to see if another variable equals greater then some number.
Then it needs to check for a free slot.
Then it needs to put the item in that slot if theres an open one.
If not it should say no room or something.
If the variable isnt greater than the number it should say to low or something.
If the first variable doesn't equal one it should say not one or something.

I also need to know how to read a text file (Not every line) and store the first line into a variable.

Heres what i need to have my weapon do, and i cant get to work:
It needs to check if what it hit is a brick.
If its not it needs to let me tell the client something
It needs to check if the player using the weapon is super admin
If its not it needs to let me tell the client something
It needs to then set a trigger on the brick
It has to set the trigger to the size of the bricks x, y vales, but not its z
It needs to set the z to 5, and the bottom of the trigger needs to be level with the bottom of the brick.
It needs to let me delete the trigger if i hit the brick again.

I need to know things like:
Does the trigger have to be in the weapon file, or can it be in a seperate file?
Does the weapon have to be melee/ranged?
Does the trigger need anything special to be placed by a weapon?

Also how do i make a player, when hit by a weapon, to not be able to move/jet, mabey even do anything.

Also to read a file how do i read different lines, and how do i take whats in these lines, and put them into varibles?

Do the varibles have to be $, or % to get it from a text file?

I bet your wondering why i need all this, and its your right to know a little if your gunna help me. Im making an add-on that saves cash, and does one other special thing right now, but you can wait for that. It also comes with a toy i made!

To do the following you need AT's Fun Pack.

1.) Open the mounter in notepad.
2.) Go to the very bottom, and delete everything in the last function except:
   %mounter = %obj.client;
   %mountee = %col.client;
   
   if (%mounter.player && %mountee.player && %mounter && %mountee)
   {
         %mounter.player.mountObject(%mountee.player, $backSlot);
   }
3.) Go into Blockland, and get on slate map.
4.) Hit a brick with the mounter.
5.) Hit f8 wile your screens crazy, move awway, and look for your name.
6.) See the cool thing you can do.

If you have a Really steady hand move your mouse slightly, and look around. You can actualy learn to control it! To stop just jet, and you pop up next to the brick you hit! Also after you hit f8 jsut kill yourself, because its not easy to control if you hit f7.

Just something funny i found on accedent hope you have fun! For the modders out there you might be able to come up with something out of this.

I need to know the variable (If any) in a particle that constantly accelerates the particle in the direction its travleing.

Its not ConstantAcceleration, because that accelerates the particle awway from the brick at the same angle it came out.

Modification Help / **Reading** Text Files Using Functions

How would i go about reading a text files. I need to know how to read different lines, and sections of those lines. I also need to know how to make a GUI to pop up useing a slash command function.

I had an idea for a freeze tag game. We need a weapon of some kind most likely melee. We need a new vehicle that cant move, and its shape would be a ice chunk bigger than the player. When the tagger weapon hits a client it should spawn a freeze vehicle, and mount the client to it for a certain amount of time. When the times up the player dismounts, and the vehicle is deleted. Simple enough dont you think? The goal of the tagger is to get everyone frozen at the same time. When this happenes the game would end, and everyone would respawn. One random person would be chosen to be tagger. If someone would willingly attempt it i'd greatly appreciate it.

Help / Blockland Retail Wont Run

Ive got 3 comupters in my house 2 are family comps 1 is all mine. Mines not connected to the internet for now, but the other 2 are. I dled, on the family computer, Blockland retail. It worked fine but when i burned it to disk to add to my comp it would start id get a error message. So i flash drived it to my comp that didnt work either so whats wrong with my comp?

Hello Retail is completely awsume, and because badspot made the flyweeled jeep he proved airplanes possible. Id like to see someone make a airplane modle and script it based off that vehicle so we can fly like real planes do. Also more then one mount point would be a good idea.

I think thats aot gave criminals a advantage. Cops realy dont have alot of power. I think cops should have more laws saporting them like killing people useing dynimite in town should be against the law. and stealing or killing a horse should to. and if you kill a fiber plant thats not yours should be like 5 dermits. and i think if someone gets jailed the fines are cut in half and it gets taking from his bank. if he doesnt have the money that half of the dermits stay. And the cops who jails someone should get payed because cops only get payed for fines but they dont get payed for doing ther job by getting criminals.... makes no since. and also i think that cops if they get out there baton should have cop cloths automaticly put on them. and add stuff like have the marshal have a shop full of cops stuff only cops can buy. such as insta cop a cop pops up and goes after criminals with his baton. and stun bombs thats blow up and stun any nearby criminals. and i think cops should get bonuses for catching a most wanted criminal. those are just some of the things. i dont mean to be a party pooper but criminal acts should all have conciquences.

AoT General / Morphing Potions!

I think it would be awsume to have morphing potions. Such as a potion that morphs you into a haflman halfdragon thing and you can fly a certain distance higher off the ground. Or one that turns you into a halfman halfwolf you run fast and you got a higher attack. But they will have weaknesses to such as the dragon only ca attack with fire breath wile in use. And the wolf has half the health of a normal human. Each potion would be a one time use and last a certain amount of time so you cant be all out kill crazy or whatever. So plz post and tell me what ya think :D
