Welcome to Create a Battle, where you sprite your very own army, plonk them down into the battlefield, and, like the tittle suggests, battle!
Now, there are a few rules regarding this game.
1. No nukes.
2. You can bring in large amounts of infantry if you want, but no endless hordes.
3. No OP weapons.
4. It's usually best to let your enemy decide how a soldier reacts to them being shot a certain way.
5. Be realistic and fair. Your guys won't fire in a way that's 100% accurate (Unless it's a sniper), and especially not when they've just been surprised. No amount of backstory will let you circumvent this rule.
6. NO SLIMES. It's not our fault you can't draw anything better than a splotch of colour.
7. No ridiculous armies. That means you should probably deploy something that has hands, feet, and can use a gun.
8. There's a nuke and a data pod, and you want to get to one of them.
9. Start near either side of the map.
10. Don't move large distances in one turn, kind of fits with rule 5. This also means you won't be able to dig large distances in a turn. (Digging is also slower)
11. You must declare to make your turn. Declaring is like making a reservation to make a turn, so nobody ninjas you. If someone has already declared, you must wait to declare.
12. Do not declare stack past 2. Declare stacking is when you literally get in line to declare, I.E. "Declare after x". This means if someone has already reserved a declare after the person currently declaring, you must wait until the first is done in order to stack onto the next guy.
13. No biomass armies, but assimilator things are allowed, as long as they are fair.
14. I AM THE GAME MASTER, OBEY ME, PEASANTS!
Now, a few notes regarding the map.
See that bunker? You're not ever going to be able to blow through any of the walls or doors. Deal with it.
And speaking of those doors, see those colours? Those are locks. You need a yellow keycard for yellow locks, red for red locks.
Normal infantry are capable of hacking yellow locks, but it takes a few turns. An unlocked or hacked lock will have a blue lock displayed.
You will need specialists to hack red doors. This does not mean you can suddenly turn around and say "Yes but the X empire's troops are specially trained to hack any electrical devices!"
