Does anyone know if there's a way to change the email that your key gets sent to? I currently have it going to an email address I don't use anymore.

Help / My key is only *almost* working.

I have my console log and launcher log files in a zipped folder.
My key does not seem to be working...
I have my key saved in a file so that i don't lose it, I've tried copy-pasting it in and manually typing it in, regardless of how i do it the result is the same.

1. I input my key
2. I hit the button to submit it
3. I receive an "authentication successful!" message
4. A split second later, it resets the GUI to the demo screen, and says my authentication failed, because my key was invalid.

I've had blockland for a couple years, and I have had this problem once before, however the solution (deleting all traces of blockland from a computer i previously owned, which was actually disconnected from the wall...) will not work(because there's no other computer this time).

I tried using a key that was total bogus, the results were as expected:
1. I put in a BS key.
2. I immediately receive an invalid key message, no extra filler this time.

So, clearly there's a difference. My internet connection is fine, and blockland is allowed through the firewall. My friend was even able to use his key to get on his BL account, on the same computer, on the same network, on the same day. I've reinstalled blockland, there are no traces of my having had blockland in the past on my PC. I performed a trace while trying my real key, and a bogus attempt. I even left friendly messages in there so you can find where to look. I blocked out my key in the log, that's the only modification that's been made, after all I don't need to be giving out my key to everyone.
So, I'm at a loss, unless I the key was revoked or something; which I have done nothing to provoke.

Also: no, I am not key-sharing, if someone else has my key, they must have worked real hard to either guess it, or perform some amazing feat of espionage by shoulder surfing me in my own home, which is normally populated by noone else but me.

Modification Help / Issues with %client.delete();

Ok, I just made a custom tailored kicking script for someone, but I have never really made kick scripts before. I looked at some other scripts; and it looks like the syntax is:
<personyouwantkickedvariable>.delete("<message>");
however when i do this(example message):
%target.delete("you have been kicked for blehblehbleh");
the person gets kicked, however they see garbage characters in the disconnect message, like when you get kicked from a server by an admin.
in the AFKkicker made by Greek2Me there is:
%cl.delete("You were kicked from the server for being AFK.");
and sure enough, i have been kicked for being afk from a server by this very server mod, and i see "You were kicked from the server for being AFK."
this is rather frustrating, and i wish to be done with this script as quickly as possible, so assistance would be appreciated.
Side Note: if i use single quotes: '
it displays something like BBF (according to my assistant) this was a bit of a random encounter, when i accidentally used singles

Hello, I could not find a topic in which this was solved so here we go.

I also see this in the console log(in single player crash):
Warning: handleSimplePingResponse() - Address does not match

When I am in single player, i can put down a ghost brick, but if i accept the brick, blockland crashes. I tried to host a server, and when my friend placed a brick, my blockland instantly crashed. I tried to go on a server, but as soon as the first brick finishes ghosting and places, Blockland crashes. It never fails. I am on a Windows XP computer. Please help
needs to be solved, anyone who knows whats going on or has had this problem, please tell me what to do?
it takes anywhere from 0 - 7 seconds for it to give me the notification that blockland has crashed.

in other words...

Help / My Blockland key is not working. Unless it feels like it.

I used to play blockland quite a bit for a a while, and then I stopped for quite a long time, I recently got a brand new laptop and wanted to start playing again. However, much to my dismay, I downloaded blockland from blockland.us and after the install had completed, and I started up the game, I found that putting in my key causes some strange things to happen... The first thing you should know, is that at the time I had downloaded blockland and tried to play on this new laptop, my older computer on which I played blockland before, was sitting in a corner, disconnected from any form of power, and had no connections to my internet, or in fact anything at all.
On the laptop:
I put in my key and for a second was pleased as it performed the necessary authentications and gave me the SUCCESS! box, but died a little inside when about 250ms later, the message was removed from the screen  and replaced (much to my horror) with a big fat message saying that the key was invalid...
On the old desktop:
I plugged in the computer, turned it on, opened up blockland, it performed an update (which spanned at least 2 versions if I remember correctly.) and immediately performed the usual authentication check,(this is where I felt very much at a loss for words.) and gave me the SUCCESS messagebox, which this time was NOT followed by a message indicating my key was invalid. I was able to play and do the usual stuff.
On the Laptop:
At this point, I was rather baffled, so I made sure I had put in the key correctly, I copied the document on which I had written my key, and tried both typing it out, and copy-pasting it, and both times, had the same result as the first try.
I remembered that blockland auto checks a "key.DAT" file when it starts so you don't have to keep putting in your key, so I copied the key from the desktop, to the laptop (mind you, the desktop was NOT on, because I wanted to be sure that no nonsense with me trying to have two computers using the same key was going to occur.) and when blockland started up, it told me I was in demo mode and asked me to put in a key.

At this point, I considered re-downloading blockland on the old PC to see if I would have the same problem, but upon realizing that that would mean no blockland at all, I decided against it.(though by that point I had re-downloaded on the laptop. though I knew it probably would not help.)
If anyone can tell me what to do here, I would greatly appreciate it, I need to delete everything from the desktop PC because its getting turned into a server hosting PC for an assortment of games, and I can't afford clutter or to use up additional power playing blockland on it.

Both computers are Windows 7 and are on the same router.
As far as I know I have a dynamic ip, but I'm not sure.

Modification Help / What does this error message actually mean?

I have been wondering for the longest time what the deal is with the
"<input> (#) unable to find object: ' ' attempting to call function 'yourfunctionhere' "
error message, why is it that alot of times no matter what you do, a method that should be perfectly valid gives this error? what does it mean - object ' ' , does this mean there is information missing? like for instance:

Modification Help / How do I perform hitdetection for headshots etc.

Ok, so i was thinking of making some weapons that would have hitdetection, only problem is, I dont know how to do it, i know there are ways to do it with headshots, but I would like to know how you would go about doing it for other parts of the body aswell, and is:

General Discussion / change bots appearance without bot events?

ok, so heres the deal; I have been wondering for a while if there was a way to change the appearance of a bot without having bot events, i have thought about it for a while, and the default events happen to be very limiting when it comes to bots, the most you can do is spawn a horse and do somthing to it like kill it, burn it, change the datablock, and a few other very uninteresting things, so is it possible? or am i stuck with that default blockhead looking bot? Maybe badspot could add something to the default to at least change the color of more than its shirt?

if i am right, this will check all players on the server and (just for now it will kill) non admins  and give a messageboxok to admins when someone says /killnonadmin.

No, these are not pictures of me, they are pictures of my friend. We found a wonderful glitch, and so...
we exploited the hell out of it, I later tested to see what would happen if Ikilled one, and it made completely different types of copies.
These photo's arent doctored, they are 100% pure unedited snapshots. And though I'm sure any of you can guess what happened, I felt like posting this, now, just for reading this, you get a cookie  :cookie:

General Discussion / is this a glitch?

when i use the duplicator wand and i duplicate a brick with a large structure built upon it, if i go into my bricks selection and right-click the same type of brick as is the base part of what i duplicated, i can place the brick like i was placing any old normal one, but if i press enter and place it, it stays in duplication mode and thus, places the duplicated structure as if it were a normal brick, this has been bugging me for a long time, and though its not the"glitch" that bugs me, its not knowing whether or not its actually a glitch or not...


please tell me someone, if this glitch can be exploited, i may well have found a solution to a very old problem of mine that has recently resurfaced....

thats right the forbidden topic of print events once again...


where the forget are a working set of events to make a ? into a B on a brick?
who failed them, whoever it was needs to die, this is a VERY useful event, and seeing as i am not the  only one who has asked about this, i know i am not the only one who needs this.

i dont feel like making a poll so if you belevie this addon is well needed go ahead and post about it here, just dont be a noob when you do, and if you have a link to working printevents please post it before too many people come, i dont want to have his topic become a flame war between (insertnamehere) and (insertnamehere).

you know... like a bot who is instakill if shot in the head but wont instagib if shot anywhere else?(like a human being getting shot in the head with a 50cal for instance...)
