Alright i'm currently using this mobo: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fm2a75pro4
With this cpu: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-ad560kwohjbox
I'm wanting to upgrade to the following:
Mobo: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z77extreme4
Cpu: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80637i53570k

My question is will I need to reinstall my OS to use the new motherboard? I really would prefer not having to reinstall my OS and programs. Can't I just uninstall my motherboard drivers, install the new motherboard drivers, and then swap out the motherboards? Please provide a detailed answer. Thanky.

Off Topic / Selling a brand new GPU and PSU
« on: April 20, 2013, 07:44:16 PM »
SOLD.
EBAY LINK - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140959767072

Asking price is $100
Also being sold is a Corsair Builder 430W 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12v PSU for $50
Corsair Builder PSU
⦁   Type: ATX12V
⦁   Wattage: 430
⦁   Fans: 1
⦁   Efficiency Certification: 80 PLUS Bronze
⦁   Output: +3.3V@20A, +5V@20A, +12V@32A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@3.0A

Am willing to bundle the GPU and the PSU for $125
The reason I am selling this gpu is because I bought a GTX 670 and I have no need for the GTX 650 Ti
The reason I am selling this PSU is because I bought a higher wattage PSU for the GTX 670
The age of the GTX 650 Ti and PSU is like a month and a half
I wanted people on these forums to have a chance to look and possibly buy before I put them up on ebay or etc.
Also there is a very high chance I will be selling my (also brand new) ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 ATX  FM2 Motherboard and my AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core CPU. The reason being I am wanting to upgrade to an I5 cpu due to my current CPU (the amd A8) bottlenecking my GTX 670 on certain games.
Feel free to PM me or post in this topic with questions, I'll be happy to answer.

Off Topic / Investing in a nice Computer Monitor
« on: March 16, 2013, 03:54:16 PM »
I've narrowed it down to these few choices and I am having a hard time narrowing it down even further. I am not an expert in this field so I've decided to post my problems in hopes of advice and helpful opinions.

Help would be greatly appreciated. I am currently on an LG W1952 Monitor and I love it, i've had it for 5 years and it only has 2 dead pixels. However it is now to the point that it sometimes won't turn on and I have to punch it to get it to turn on. Its not to bad on the eyes as well! Also any recommendations would be nice. I'm looking for a monitor priced right at $300 or under. Also the aesthetics matter to me, it needs to be easy on the eyes. Preferably a glossy smooth black look.

Games / Unreal Tournament GOTY Edition, or 2003 or 2004 Editions

I know these games are notably old but I have reinstalled them and was wondering if anyone else still has these games and would like to get together and play a few matches.

Since my old Xbox 360 died, I have my sights on the new Xbox 360 slim 320GB Halo 4 limited edition which is going to cost me approximately 371 dolla dolla bill yall on black friday. Now onto my problem, I am wanting a home audio system that delivers a richer experience then what my HDTV can provide audio wise.

My budget is 700 dollars, taking away the cost of the X-Box leaves me with 329 dollars to play with (Approximately).
When I was speaking with a guy over the phone who works at HHgregg, he said that I would also need to buy a digital optical audio cable along with the HAS. He recommended the "monster" brand cable for quality reasons which is like 50 dollars.

I did not know there was a difference in quality with audio optical cables. Ugh. Now this has gotten even more complicated.
So am now starting to look at sound bars.
This is what im needing help with:
Digital audio cables
HAS = home audio systems (blu-ray is preferable) (smart enabled? - no preference) (needs at least 1 hdmi output) (needs  1    digital audio cable input)

I do not want to see your opinion on the xbox 360 and why I should pick a ps3, don't care. Keep the budget in mind if you are reccomending a system. Help is appreciated :s
