Suggestions & Requests / Rampage: Ape Attack (Rampage meets Boss Battles)

Basically a King Kong gamemode.


Concept Image

Ape Attack would be a variant of Rampage that features one player as a raging gorilla set on destroying the city, while everyone else is trying to take that monkey down.

• Ape player is randomly selected and spawns inside the city with an amount of health relative to the number of players. (More players = more ape health)
• Everyone else will spawn as soldiers just outside of the town, armed with guns and unlimited lives.
• People who join a game already in progress spawn as harmless civilians to spectate the action, until a new round begins.
• After enough bricks are destroyed the Ape will still level up in size and strength, and regain some health. When this happens the soldier players will also receive better weapons.
• Game ends when either all bricks are destroyed, when the ape dies, or if the ape is disconnected.



If anyone wants to start working on this I would be willing to give you the above ape model. However I must animate it first.

Suggestions & Requests / Gamemode: Treasure Defender

Just something that I'd like to see done well. I would make it if I could.

• 4 player cooperative.
   -Everyone else spectates.
• Defend treasure against waves of bot attacks that start at dawn and last until dusk.
   -Game ends when; treasure is depleted, all 4 defenders perish, or after 7 days.
   -New game randomly selects 4 new defenders from spectators.
• At dusk each surviving player is awarded 25 points to spend on bricks for building defenses.
   -Killing attackers also rewards points
• Static Environment
   -Only defender-placed bricks and the treasure can be destroyed
• Attackers include:
   -Blockhead (Breaks treasure with hands)
   -Deconstructor (Uses a hammer to break multiple bricks)
   -Archer (Targets only players with a bow)
   -Knight (Targest only players with sword/shield, with higher health)
   -Wizard (Uses a wand to break many bricks and tumble players)
   -Giant (Basically a large blockhead with a lot of health and very high damage)
• Defense bricks include:
   -mud pit (Slows movement)
   -fire pits (Damage while touching)
   -pirate cannon spawn (Expensive to place)
   -Normal bricks for building walls.
• Defender Weapons:
   -Hammer (Break bricks and use as melee)
   -Bow (Weaker ranged combat)
   -Healing Wand (Heal other defenders but not self)
• Endless Mode:
   -Game will only end when treasure is depleted.
   -When a defender dies they are replaced with a new one randomly selected from spectator team.
   -After 7 days attackers get health and damage increases each day.
   -Eventually attackers will also attack at night.

About:
I'm looking for more input on some of my add-ons, to better please the community as a whole, and so I can do less thinking.
Every now and then I'll put up a poll relating to an add-on to help shape it.
Youtube videos will also be posted here. Don't expect films, they will likely be demonstrations of what I'm currently playing around with.

Suggestions & Requests / Salvage [Gametype option idea]

►This add-on would show up as a check box in the create mini-game window. It can only be used if the brick selection menu is disabled during the mini-game.

The basic concept of Salvage is to allow players to pick up and relocate bricks.

• Hit a brick about 10 times and voila, that brick is now in your brick inventory.

• Base-plates on the ground, and large cubes can NOT be salvaged. This gives the host control of the play area.

• Plant a brick you salvaged and it will still have all of its previous lights, emitters, items, and maybe events. The brick will, of course, be removed from your inventory after planting, and would have to be re-salvaged to be moved.

• Wrenching a brick will repair it.

• If a player dies with an inventory full of bricks, those bricks will re-appear in their previous location. (or maybe they all plant themselves on top of each other at the player's death site)

   So imagine, you setup a TDM mini-game with Salvage enabled and load up the afghan build. When you start it, both teams scramble to take apart all the middle-eastern buildings, and use those same bricks to fortify their bases. Players only have access to the bricks that are part of the mini-game, allowing the host to have a set brick amount throughout the server. All the host has to do is provide the materials.

Well now I have got into making doors, and I already have a pack of 6 that can be released whenever.

However I'd like to add at least 6 more to the pack and I need suggestions.

So feel free to make suggestions. But try to be serious and think about how the system works; Ideas like Elevators don't.

Also try to describe your idea; Such as how it would look and move.

Modification Help / Can mount a vehicle on a vehicle?

Is there any way to mount a vehicle onto another vehicle? It must be a vehicle and not the player-type-thing like the turret is on a tank, I don't think that will work for what I'm going for.

If you want to know why I need this, take a look at the below image attachment, that should be enough.

Modification Help / Negating water

What I mean by this is that I am finishing up a big-daddy suit. (basically a large heavy diver's suit) and it changes the player type like pandan's armor mod.

But anyways, I want this to allow the player to freely walk in water as if there wasn't any water at all. I know how to make the player heavy so that it sinks to the bottom, but its always in a crouching position and so it can't walk around too freely.

I would also like to know if there is a way so that if solarflare's oxygen mod is enabled that the player wont lose oxygen bubbles with the suit equipped. 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well after debating for a bit, or rather procrastinating, I decided to say "TO HELL WITH IT!" and leak out my interior map for a more public use. It isn't something fantastical, its a small bedroom I have created from scratch and destroyed into nothing several times in my life. I am tired of deleting it then deciding I want it and end up making it all over again, so here it is. And even though it is called Small Room, that is only because it is a little smaller than the default Bedroom, but there is still plenty of building space.

Modification Help / Help me Float my Boat?

Well I this morning I suddenly decided I was going to try a sail ship. I have been meaning to make a boat, and finally I think I shall.

However I am having a bit of trouble.... it can't float too well.

I based this off of GSF Ghost's GSF Sailboat.

Any help to get this thing floating better would be greatly appreciated.

Not much practical use, but just something I would like to have.

It would be really great if it behaved like how the box train did, continually increasing in speed, so it can be wicked-fast.

My modeling skills will only put the plane to shame, and I can't really script-edit well enough to make it go fast.

Modification Help / Dismemberment and head-shots?

Alright so I am in the process of making a gun, but how would I go about making the bullet dismember the victim's limbs, just like how the chainsaw does? (I can't seem to find the chainsaw so I can't examine how it does this.) I also want to increase damage done from head-shots, and possibly body shots as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Modification Help / How do you make key-binds?

I am really getting into animating my upcoming vehicles, but I want to set the animation trigger to, say, the V-Key, instead of having to use space-bar. (allowing people to use thier vehicle brakes without opening doors, retracting roofs, etc.) But I want to allow this key bind to be changed by the player to suit their preferences in the Controls Options. How would I go about doing this?
