i was bored on kohoutek's server so i made a house using only the first 10 bricks you spawn with (assuming you aint changed Favs 1 yet)

no furnishings and no doors, tho
took abt 30 min
unelegant and inefficient but it was a fun thing to make

Off Topic / i got some baffling PC/game optimization issues

so i recently got Cities: Skylines, and quickly realized i got pretty poor framerate. this pushed me to look into what was going on with my PC, since it has good specs (enough to meed the recc. specs for GTA V) but runs stuff on pretty much any game that isn't a Source/Valve game

+ Nvidia GeForce GT 610 is the graphics card

i don't know stuff about computer tech, so is optimization a thing you can fix? i used the nvidia optimizer to lower my settings but the weird thing is that it said my PC didn't meet the minimum specs on most of my games?

ive asked 2 people and they can't figure it out. anyone else know?

General Discussion / How do you manage your brick inventory?

ive only ever seen a video in which someone just keeps putting the brick they need in their cart even if it's already in there. it seems pretty common, actually.
but when i build i usually kinda.... phase my building and constantly clear my cart. i try and keep what i need and always remove what i dont need.

so, how do you build?

this board has been recently gmod adventures or nation RPs or BLF plays - and not that i have a problem but i miss these kind of adventures, y'know?

You wake up in what seems to be a small room with a few crates. You don't really remember much. You can at least remember your name is Otela. Your head hurts and your wrists feel wrug, probably from the rope on the floor. The room is lit by a small light and the entirety of the room is metal. The east wall is entirely a door, but it has some sort of lock. There's also something next to the smallest crate on the floor.

based on filenames.tumblr.com, the point is simple; post a picture and slap an appropriate file name to it. doesn't have to be blockland related but i did with mine.

Drama / Hexen (80684) and the Army of Mucus national socialist Cats

chromomania said he was on this server and since there was no other servers that interested me i gave it a shot.
i didn't actually find any motivation to built my own empire after two tries so i just kinda spectated. these were some of my biggest peeves.

part one is his ruleboard.
rule 7 will be explained thoroughly later. i shouldn't have to explain what's wrong with it.


there's also rule 9.

this one seemed reasonable, although he didn't seem to give a single stuff. sp00n.exe built these on the sidelines:


the first one isn't directed at a player, but it's def tribal (and was unecessary in general along with the other two). the main problem was him saying "it's not tribal because it says black people can be princes too"
???

the last one was obviously directed at a player. i don't know what incited it, but knowing sp00n, he may have done it just for the forget of it; which is even more unecessary.
part two is his actual empire.
back to rule 7, this attitude continued throughout actual gameplay. his empire, the hexenikah, an 'empire' of glowy, slimy, green cats. not even furries. just normal ass housecats. and that was his only unit.

and of course, his only structure was some weird stone thing with a rainbow........ thing on top. no houses, mines, farm, anything logical. they're just demon spawn from nowhere.

being the only other people existing on the same landmass at the time, Hexen goes for the heads of Fjell, chromo's humble village. he instantly ventures over to his village and puts on his best show of power. im not gonna gather every chatline from it but i'm gonna pull the important parts; the ones that scream "my empire is just blatant fascists"

"i'm not being forceful! i'm just going on a crusade!"




chromo decides to fight back. disregarding how meta it is, a few other empires came over to fight hexen as well. rolls started going in chromo's favor, and conveniently

yeah alright.

i never got banned from this server. i just couldn't really pass up how much of a prick this guy was being.

so despite the fact that everyone is making their own thread for doodles im making this because i do a lot of graphic design but graphic design threads usually die out and yeah im aware there's one but im too loving swaggy for that

anyways this prioritizes my graphic design stuff (which i will dump here) over my drawings which ill post in the DMT more often but i might put small doodles here

Suggestions & Requests / Palm trees

sorry that the topic is a bit ambiguous, but i'm asking for at least one of two things here:

-a fix for GSF's ModTer palm trees
the palm trees in that pack do not work. not only is collision absent entirely, some have broken textures and just generally do not work. if someone can make them tangible at all, that would be nice

-a plant pack i can't find at all
there's another brickpack with plant brick props that has palm trees. i really need to find it as well. if someone knows one or any, then hmu
