I will start this post with a quote from Kompressor

So, let's take a look at it and have an evaluation. Starting with the bad.

Why do you think Ephialtes quit?

Also, the "hats" that everybodys hoping for probably aren't happenening, considering it was over a year ago (LOL 5 YEARS NOW)

No new content. Just fixes.

^Uhh. What development? The only thing I really see are a few small fixes, and a brick-making tool that has already been out-done by another forum member. Oh, and the Environment. Do some math. That's 1 small thing a year

You know, when the Halloween bricks were released that one year I was pretty happy.

Should try some stuff like that.


Now, let's look at the good stuff (new stuff since v21, not counting minor fixes)

.BLB tool
Sports Items (Balls)
Bot Holes [Replaced Amade's bot events]
Brick and Ghost Limit increase

4 good things in 3 years
Tons of underrated bug fixes that were awesome
Also, the patch for BLHACK.dll don't count. That was a necessity.

I think I need help with this section.
Feel free to add stuff, I'll add to OP If it's worth adding.


Also, all of the minor bug fixes apply to this catagory.


And before you say something like "Is this a 'blockland is dying post?'", it isn't.
I love this game and many things about it, but I hate it when lackluster development derives new players from playing, current players from being motivated, or long-time well-known substantial figures to quit the game completely. *Glances at Ephis grave

The only updates I really would love are those that expand the game's limitations, even a little.
Something like increased amount of image slots would be a massive thing for developers but I'm not sure if it will ever be done.
Vehicle physics glitching into bricks is a massive issue as well, and it makes the karting gamemode virtually unplayable for me.
I would also love full .ifl support (the thing that players use for decals and faces), it seems to work perfectly and I even got it to work with my models but .ifl's are not even networked correctly if they're custom. This means we can't have custom models with decals/animated decals on them.

Was looking for events with the following functionality

-You click a brick to save your appearance

-You click a brick to load your appearance

-Even if you leave the server, you can re-join and load your appearance later.

I found this https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=303040.0 but the functionality is broken. The hook-hand and other nodes don't load properly, and it's basically like a one-time load.

Modification Help / 3x Door Bricks

...the only thing i'd appreciate as much as this is 3x default doors aaaaaaaaaaa

I had some free time, imported the default .blbs and made some magic happen



Yeah, they close. Forgot to get the pic.



It was a boring and painful process, so I doubt I'll do the rest of the default doors, but I'll likely make+release a 3x door pack.

It's awesome to have a doorway that looks blockhead-sized. Discuss.

Help / Why won't these loving lines go away

And many of you see my pain, and a lot of you deal with it too

So how do I get rid this annoying stuff that I've put up with all this time?

It never occurred before the shadow/shader update, but wasn't that supposed to make the graphics about 50% better for the ~20% of the community that can run them? Why do these ugly lines remain?

I've never been able to run shaders/shadows. All the update did for me was remove gameplay elements that I commonly used, and created these stupid ugly lines.

Although nothing is more annoying than when I create a model and I'm trying to get a normal screenshot of it, but I can't get the angle I want because of these stupid loving lines. Seriously about to start looking for a v20 download just to get decent screenshots of my stuff

Anyways, I can't force anti-aliasing either so don't suggest that, any ideas?

For many years I was wondering why blockland didn't have any weed.

So I got stoned and made this stuff. Here ya go.




Yes, the grinder opens. Both ways.
Yes, all of this stuff is re-paintable.

You get: A joint, a group of 3, a group of 3 diagonal, a blunt, a lighter, a grinder, and of course, a bong.

Don't forget about the grand-daddy-fatty on the side. Yeah that's in there too.

This picture don't do the pack justice, but I don't have shaders anyways so forget it, right?


Keep in mind: These are all BRICKS and not actual items. And I like it that way.

I'm using events to set the node color of a bot. If anyone recalls amades bot events and the "setNodeColor" stuffs.

A old topic list all default player nodes: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=201140.0

Using these events to change the color of a players head via "headSkin" works like a charm.

However, I'm making my own playertypes, and I can't figure out how to make my custom model's node recolorable.

-Issues-
Can't re-color node of custom model
Trying to hide any node just hides the whole model/player. Does this with bear bot as well.

---I've tried---
Naming groups same as default player (ie. headSkin)
Naming groups with their own custom names

Do I have to state the nodes in the code...? What am I doing wrong?

Modification Help / RPG Bots Pack - Cute Mobs! NEW! WINGS!

I've been in recent development of some cute little mobs.


These mobs are supposed to be basic and adorable. So here we go.

Node coloring events complete!
Added Penguin

Updated Stuff.

The shroomling is done. Still debating on releasing the node coloring events with it.

You may say "There is already a Bot->dropItem Event." However, if you make the bot drop multiple items, they all land in the same spot. This results in a clusterforget.

With this, you could set the X,Y, and Z coordinate in 3 boxes at the end of the event, so the drops don't all land in the same spot, and you have control over where the item lands.

Another cool thing would be a 4th box, for a x/100 drop chance

But it only has chance, not X,Y,Z, and that was for old bot events I believe.

An output event for checking if the player has an open slot in their inventory or not.

Isn't there a way to do this with VCE? I forget.

No add-ons, no mods, fresh clean install of blockland. Blockhead bot hole.

Use that, and try making a bot that follow+attacks you when you damage it.

This was pretty simple with the old Bots, but these bot hole events are insufficient and I'm quite annoyed by it.

Been looking for these

- Anti-Orbing Mod
 (Allows you to disable orbing for admins/sa)

- Better admin control
  (Can edit prefs for admins such as allowing them to load, spy, kick, ban)


Searched, couldn't find em. Any help is appreciated.
