OKAY. So, I was in my bed, sound asleep, (about an hour ago) when all of a sudden I heard an old woman screaming for help outside my window. I froze there in terror and thought to myself, "it's probably still a dream." But she kept screaming, so I ran over to my sister's room and woke her up, but she couldn't do anything more than I could, so I ran downstairs as fast as I could and woke up my dad. He got on his jacket and ran outside to go looking for her. Next thing I know, I'm holding the door for him, my neighbor, and a tiny old lady who was talking at the top of her lungs. We get her inside and sit her down in a chair, and my dad calls 911. Two police officers arrived, who then called the paramedics. While they were driving over, the police tried to ask her some questions (where she lives, how old she is, that sort of thing), but she doesn't seem to hear them. All she talks about is the bump on her head and how cold it is. The paramedics arrive and ask more questions, but the only time she recognized what any of them said was when they told her she was going to the hospital. They managed to get her onto a stretcher and into the ambulance, and they all left.
What a night.
We were thinking how this happened, but she probably fell and bumped her head somewhere. She also had scratches on her knees, but we couldn't figure out how she got outside at four in the morning.
We haven't heard anything about her condition yet, and it's 8:30 here. We still don't even know if she even lived in the neighborhood or not because we never have seen her around until now.
Also, I have to say that I was totally FAST ASLEEP and sleeping like a log and with my bedroom being in the total back of my dad's house, I didn't hear stuff. Plus, I came back last night around 1 in the morning because of a school ski trip, and that made me pretty exhausted.
