The  server name should be "Gath's Testing Join to see if this works" or something like that.

General Discussion / Hosting a blockland server?

Hey guys, I haven't played Blockland in a few years, and was curious about the server-hosting status of the game.

I remember when I played it back in 2007, hosting was such a pain, an I was never able to host a server.

Now, my brother said it is supposed to be easier to host a server? Is this a 100% seamless action, or will I still have to jump through a bunch of hoops?

Games / Playstation 3 looks really good this year, and good some good Black Friday deals

The PS3 is looking really good this year, Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank both look like really good games, and they have the Bad Company 2 beta.

I don't have the cash to buy a console, but I just wanted to point out that you can buy an 120g PS3 that comes with inFamous and Batman Arkym Asylum for only $299.

If you are looking for a similar Xbox deal then you are out of luck, you can get the elite (120g) with Pure (some atv racing game) and lego batman for $299. Both are pretty stuffty games compared with Batman and inFamous though.

Super Awesome game coming out on November 3rd for the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3 a bit later.

Drama / A sudden emurgence of christian nuts...

Has anyone noticed a sharp increase in the amount of Christians in Blockland lately? I feel like they tend to populate servers running [GSF]Ghost's new "Paradise" map, hmm, go figure...

I mean, they are talking about youth groups and stuff, and I say I'm not christian, and they say why not, and I say because I just don't believe in god, and then they start yelling at me to go to hell and stuff, and start chanting things... it was all very strange...

My school gave all of the upper-class people netbooks, we got Dell minis running Ubuntu Linux.

I am guessing it can't handle any 3D games, but maybe it can do some?

Help / Yellow "LAG" letters appear, everything is frozen, but chat is still active

Problem:

At times, Blockland gets the yellow LAG letters, it acts like a normal lag and everything, just like a general server lag y'know? But I can see people talk in chat, and they don't notice the lag.

I then have to disconnect and join the server again.

Not a big deal really, but...
