Modification Help / Abandoned works

a lot of this stuff is up to a year old. i don't plan on finishing them, ever. i just wanted to post them wherever.

an unreleased map presumably for an RPG. i don't have a clue why i called it hollow falls, which is a stupid name. whatever.
this map has non-looping terrain and four invisible barriers.
there's two waterfalls, and an ocean to the south which sort of 'goes on forever' but you can't swim out too far.
feel free to add a map screenshot and post this in rtb or something.

WARNING: doesn't work in the current version of blockland.
an old attempt at a zombie gamemode.
the framework was kinda poor, but I was and still am proud of the AI and raycasting.
zombies don't see you from behind, and you can stealth kill them with melee weapons.
also there's some cool trigonometry in the ai. i was pretty damn proud of applying trigonometry to an actual scenario for the first time in my life.

a replication of the half-life 2 crossbow. i never released this because i couldn't figure out how to make the bolt invisible when fired, and the animations kept screwing up. there's a folder in the zip that i basically just copied from my milkshape folder, it has a whole bunch of revisions of the crossbow and i'm not sure which one is the latest (i cant find out since i dont have milkshape installed) so i just uploaded the whole folder.
if someone can fix the bolt transparency, then feel free to reupload and post on rtb3 and stuff.
no ci.

Defence Alliance 2, a mod for Killing Floor, is available on Steam. It's a competitive/co-operative team-based game with some slight RTS elements which let you build turrets and ammo boxes and stuff. You can play either with two teams (attackers vs defenders) or with the specimens from Killing Floor.

Killing Floor has also been updated with four additional maps. Furthermore, everyone who owns Killing Floor now has 2 free guest passes, so hand them around.

This is my texture within Milkshape, and then the final product exported and placed in blockland.



The texture's "translucent" box was checked during exporting and it didn't do anything.

Why does milkshape hate me so?

Help / All servers showing up dead

All servers have recently been showing up dead when querying the master server. My firewall is off. What could possibly be going wrong?

While animating a model, is there a way to hide portions of the model during the animation process so that they don't show up in game? (like the arrow on the bow model, when you shoot it.)

I am using Milkshape.

Add-Ons / Oxygen and Drowning

The new, rewritten from scratch oxygen mod for v12. Your oxygen is now represented as six bubbles (although this can be configured, it cannot be set higher than 6 because of the string character limit). You emit a bubble particle emitter and accompanying sound whenever you lose a bubble. Also includes SetOxygen and AddOxygen events, which should make for some interesting diving challenges. You are immune to drowning while holding the Destructowand.

Modification Help / Bot damage

My bots will receive damage in singleplayer, but they do not receive damage while I am hosting a multiplayer server.

Is there a reason why it does not work?

Here, have a light ray model. Use it however you want. You can resize it in F11 to make it bigger although in larger sizes the layered light rays are much more obvious.

Games / Synergy: Orange Box

Synergy for Orange Box has been released on steam. You can now play from Half-Life 2 all the way to the end of Episode Two. Just interested to see how many people have downloaded it, since it now appears in your uninstalled games list.
