Off Topic / One of my classmates got my school in a New York Times article.

Now, here's some backstory if you're wondering. This girl was very quick to anger in my class, to the point where it was kinda funny. I remember this one time where she herself was being offensive, calling one of my friends a Jew and going on long cussing strings in class. And, my school is one of the most diverse schools ever, having all sorts of whites, blacks, hispanics, jews, ruskies, and muslims. She acts like muslims are the only ones who are made fun of- when at my school, I get tossed into dark rooms and people say I'm invisible, people tell mexicans how they crossed the border, etc. etc. We don't mean any of the things we say and she is just overreacting.

You know the ones. The ones who talk the entire period about shoes or the new date the girl of the week got or something and give the whole class an extra homework. This actually happened today, this kid was arguing with some fat chick over something petty, and the teacher got pissy and gave us extra homework. This isn't the first time this happened at all- the classes I'm in are somehow always filled with a dietician's recommended amount of troublemakers who rarely do their homework, only care about the newest brand of shoes or some other stuff, and piss off the teachers to make it suck for everyone.

I know I made another thread today but do you guys have kids like that?

So, as of now, I am trying to do the following things all at once:

• Writing a story of mine (Test Subject #10202456 if you remember)
• Making a video game (Densitron)
• Making music (in OpenMPT)
• Trying to draw
• Learning how to skateboard
• Learning how to play the piano
• Learning how to play baseball

This includes the extra burdens of school, procrastination, etc. Did I mention that I'm 13 years old and I'm trying to do all this stuff? Should I just narrow my scope and just focus on school and other things, or learn all of this stuff later?

i'll just start this off talking about what happened in the shoes thread

even then, why are you getting uppity over it?

and he still continues to push the argument on and on. just look in this thread from page 2 onward to get an idea of what I mean. The guy literally screamed at me over nothing. If I made the joke about anyone else, they would probably mention it briefly and move on with their lives, and that's implying they actually gave a damn. Alternative, however, screams at me for doing it and derails the thread. Sure, I kept telling him to calm down, but he had no reason to continue the fight after I explained the joke to him.

like, I don't understand why you're always coming all the way from uzbekistan to jab at people for no reason, and it needs to stop. you're probably going to give me a ton of flak for this, alternative, but at least take note of it.

Do any of you remember Free Rider 2, by One More Level? Probably not, but it was amazing as a kiddo, and was an awesome time killer. This may be super late, but I have found an updated remake of the software, called Free Rider HD. You can share tracks online (before you had to exchange codes, though that option still works for uploading old maps) race against other player's ghosts, and build your own crazy course with all sorts of twists and turns. You can also play through a single-player campaign.

Completing levels in the campaign will earn you points, which gauge your progress, and some coins, which can be spent on customizing your character.

Creativity / Test Subject #10202456 - Chapter 1 finished! for the time being...

I've had this idea for several years now of a group of people who obtain pseudo-telekinetic powers from an unidentified object striking them from space, and I've been trying to get it on paper since. However, school and sloth started kicking in and I never really got far past the first few chapters. I'll try to push through and finish this project of mine, and hopefully turn it into something better, like a book or even a a game.

This thread's probably gonna die/end up with me, like, lovetuple posting because a lot of folks prefer to see pictures than long walls of text (hence why all creative writing threads die in a matter of days)

Criticism and suggestions are greatly appreciated, just make it constructing instead of bashing my story into the ground, kay? Also, do not guarantee that what you see now is going to be the final version, as I will be constantly working on and improving this thing.
