General Discussion / Return to Blockland website gone?

I've been away from blockland for a good year or so now. When I attempt to connect to RTB, I get nothing and upon every type of search, The return to Blockland web site seems to be missing entirely. So I'm just kind of fishing for some probably obvious anwsers. I imagine it has something to do with steam.

Can someone fill me in? I only ask because downloading add-ons was super simple with RTB. Thanks Blockland.

We are working on an intro. Basically advertising who we are and stuff. You know, the thing before the video. We just want some feed back on our intro idea. Good? Bad? Tips and suggestions are welcomed.

So I was at a freebuild, with almost no people. Me being the only non-admin of course.

So instead of building, they poked around with me. Not being mean, just clingy. Bleh!

So I screwed around with them.

The video isn't really ment to be anything, but I'm sure you can get a chuckle or to out of it. So I figured I'd share it. Enjoy, or don't. Whatever.

I am opening a Dedicated server, but instead of firing as a SpeedKart Gamemode, it keeps launching as "Custom" Gamemode.

How do I make it start up in SpeedKart?

I fire up Blockland and it closes. No error messages. I installed it a couple times. It isn't installing Blockland.exe.

launcher.log included.

Side note: This is not my main computer. There error not being resolved is not a big deal.

Off Topic / After 10 years, my dog is being put down.

I've had him since I was 11 years old. Now I'm 21. I don't usually post things like this but I'm kind of teared up right now. We've had dogs before, but this was my dog. I taught him everything. He would always run to me. Lay with me. Everything with me.

I'm just looking for a little support.. I could use it. Thanks.

EDIT: He is being put down tomorrow April 6th, at 10 AM. He can't walk anymore. His legs are basically rubber. We're doing this cause we think it's best.

Off Topic / Investments? Iraqi Dinar

So my boss filled me in on Iraqs currency. Aparently it's worth next to nothing right now ($1,000 gets you 1,000,000 Dinar) and it is said to revalue to about 3 bucks real soon. Before the end of this year. Meaning I'd get like $3,000,000 off this. Me personally think it's..... eh.. to good to be true.

Opinions?

Note: There isn't any sort of scam. Iraqi dinar is infact that low in value and my boss has hard currency. Those facts are true. I'm looking for opinions on it going up in value.

Note 2: It has been worth practically nothing since we USA invaded shortly after 9/11. 10 years ago. Our invasion is what caused it to drop to nothing.

Note 3: President bush said "We will not pay for this war" at the time.

Help / "Blockland has stopped working" error

I'm not sure what is happening.

I am playing in Badspots SpeedKart Party. My issue is, After playing for aroun5 minutes, I get a message saying it stopped working.
I checked the console log. It is clean. So I'm pretty sure the problem is outside of blockland.

So I checked the launcher log and found this.

I don't know really what it means, but the "mhs-f-fs01.tuhsd.adn" I reconize. This tells me something is up with the computer.
Any ideas?

Note: It's not a big deal if this isn't fixed. I'm on a work computer. It used to work just fine, but the past couple of days it hasn't.

Solved!

Simpley put, I am trying to edit the SpeedKart gamemode. Basically just trying to get my own add-ons in it. I have created a second file called "SpeedKart 1.1". So far, all I have edited is the name, and the colorset.txt file.

When I attemp to test the gamemode, it does not allow me to run it because I am missing the add on *0.

What does this error mean?

Help / Shaders failing and shutting off on server start up

My shaders seem to failing. I'm not sure how to post my console log without spamming the crap out of this thread, but I ran a trace and I'm pretty sure this is my error. I just don't really know what it means.

Modification Help / Blockland blb Doors Help (How to make?)

I've searched and searched and came up empty. Is there some sort of program to make these fancy brick doors? Or do I have to edit the special numbers in the file and fire up blockland every time to see if my edit was right? I'm very lost here.
