Someone needs to host a decent RP server. I mean one that's not in a minigame, and isn't a poorly disguised DM.
Attached to the post is the response I got when I asked "If this isn't a DM, then why is everyone killing each other?"

This angers me.

Help / ~ and ' won't work in-game.

I just got a new computer and installed BL. I was helping Aloshi with testing an add-on, and I had to open the console. So I press the tilde key and nothing happens. I press it again. Same. I start mashing it, and still nothing. No console messages or anything. I tell him: "Im sorry, but I cant open the console. My tilde key isnt working. WTF my apostrophe key isnt either!"

The keys work in all other games/programs. I'm guessing it has something to do with my wireless keyboard or Vista. (I know, Vista sucks, but I can't downgrade upgrade to XP because it's encrypted against it.)



They did work ONCE, but it was while I was waiting for a server to load, and it stopped once I spawned. (It was after I first noticed the problem.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

General Discussion / You know what I want?

I want to see some more high-quality RPs. NOT RPGs, but Role-Plays. Like in GMod. If done correctly, they can be great fun. You don't even have to have player damage on. The most fun I've ever had in Blockland was on a space station RP server someone was hosting.

I think it would be really cool if there was a wand somewhat like the duplicator, that when you hit the base of a build, it saved it as a macro. It would make macro making easier, and would be really useful.

Is it possible to make a playertype that could do these things? The wall-jump would be epic for challenges, and I figured people would like the double-jump, too.

Help / Blockland won't run

Ok, I decided to just uninstall Blockland and install it again. I had a lot of unwanted maps and addons, so I decided to start from scratch. So I go and retrieve my key, then download the installer. I run it, and everything goes perfectly. Until I go to run the game. When I start it up, the usual console comes up, the Blockland window never comes up. I've waited for over a half hour, and nothing. I exit out and retry. Nothing. I add -opengl to the target. Nothing. (My DirectX is effed up, and only OpenGL works.) What's going on? I'll post my console log.

Help / Problems with Kitchen and Bedroom

Ok, whenever I try to join a server that's hosting either Kitchen or Bedroom, I time out. On very rare occasions I can get into Bedroom, and I've only got into Kitchen once. Whenever I try to host Kitchen, my BL crashes. I'll post my console.

Would it be possible to have something like a wheel and axle piece, where if you attached it to some blocks you could drive the blocks around like a car? It's kind of like building a car in gmod, except without all the welding. Of course, to stop people from brickspamming, you could only have so many of them at once.
