Modification Help / Unable to import certain .dts files

I've noticed this happening a lot with the GravityCat Special weapons pack, all of the models will not import to blender properly with Port's .dts import function.

Something like this happens when I import a Gcat weapon model.


There is no model. Re-importing does nothing to solve the problem, is there some way to import to sketchup or fix the model prior to importing?

Modification Help / Terrain Generator Question.

For my upcoming Gulf War RP/TDM, I would like to create a flatland/dune hybrid. However the terrain generator seems a bit too eager to place high dunes, and despite my best efforts, I cannot seem to control the height of the dunes/hills, therefore I cannot create seem to create a mix between semi flat dunes and flatland.

Am I not doing something right or is this a limitation of the generator itself?

Modification Help / Painting bricks question.

For the Gulf War server I'm currently working on, I made a sign in arabic with Conan's Painting bricks. However, the way the brick seems to be setup prevents me from placing anything behind it at all, so my question is: Can paintings be mounted to a wall or placed in an enclosure such as a sign without overlapping? Or is that simply a limitation due to the overlapping?

Modification Help / Items cannot be picked up after loading a save.

I've noticed this issue once I came back to BL, none of the items that are pre-set to spawn after a save is loaded cannot be picked up, even with disabling unneeded addons. I thought it was a weaponshop issue, however after I installed 'click to pickup items' as a replacement, the problem still occurs. The only way I am able to pickup an item is to re-wrench the brick its set to spawn on. Is there a way to trace what is causing this issue? Or was this a part of a broken update?

I notice this issue a lot when I use Gcats Special Weapons. I have tried to incorporate the FOV set feature from the Dweps package, however it simply breaks the addon and it fails to show in game. I am not experienced at all in scripting, and I have found this to be a major pet peeve when using since I use 100 FOV instead of the default 90. I could change the FOV number in the basic.cs file, however I worry that it would set the client FOV to 100 instead of their preferred setting.

Is there a way around this issue? Or could a scripter give me a few pointers?

Some Questions about Mechanical Keyboards

Q: What are mechanical keyboards?
A: Mechanical keyboards are input devices that use an individual switch for each key rather than an entire membrane sheet with rubber domes.

Q: How are mechanical keyboards different than the standard boards?
A: Most Rubber Dome boards can be mushy in terms of keyfeel, whereas mechanical boards can have a unique characteristic to the switches and keyfeel. For example Cherry MX Blues have a distinct clicky noise when compared to an IBM Model M's Buckling spring board.

For me it would have to be an IBM Model M with a part number of 52G9658 made by Lexmark in 1993. It uses buckling springs as opposed to the common dome switches and the expensive Cherry MX, Linear, ALPS and Topre switches.

General Discussion / Blockland Russian Roulette eventing help

Currently I am creating the once popular, but short lived game show Russian Roulette for blockland. But during the eventing, I ran into a speed bump with the "spinning of the chamber" and chance for a player to drop as seen here: https://youtu.be/V7_cgU7JSJg?t=7s

Is this eventing based on a randomized chance possible? Or would this be more hassle than it is worth?

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and If I am posting in the wrong topic I apoligize in advance, as I have no real clue on where I should've placed this topic.

Help / Corrupted Save file help

This has happened to me before, and now it happened again, I go to load the save and then not all of the bricks ghost properly, so most of the save is not there.

I have no idea what is causing this and how to fix this from happening...

Help / Default projectile impact is replaced with chidori impact...

For some unknown reason, the default projectile impact sound is the chidori projectile impact, and all traces of it have been removed from my BL game folder, and even tried removing Takato's Shining laser and Hi-Blast, (Which may have a similar impact sound) but the problem remains, and I'm stumped as to what could be causing this.

Note: I am running the steam version of Blockland, so if there are any tips for steam users like myself, please include them,

Welcome to Endless Zombies!

What is Endless Zombies?
- Endless Zombies is a game mode originally made by Gravity Cat where a team of players must survive the endless hordes of zombies.

What is your server going to contain?
- The server is going to use an armory access system where players can pay points for the entire team to access the higher level weaponry.
- It will also include various structures and buildings as well as manned weapon positions (They will be decided on later in development)

This game is currently under development, and as such, no screenshots can be uploaded as there is not much completed, which will require the help of builders familiar with Modular Terrain, and (if needed) VCE eventers. In addition, this topic will soon be updated with photos and active development

  • Armory (~20% complete)
  • Map planning and Building planning (0% complete)

The Zweihänder used by the boss William has been requested before, but alas no modelers have created the sword, and I'm hoping that somebody can recreate the sword or If Pecon7 can release it (Which is very unlikely).
