This person didn't particularly cause a problem, I just saw his behavior as...strange and quite funny, and thought people might possibly want to give him the same consolation prize I did on my server.

I'm pretty certain this is the place for this, so here you go.

I spent a few hours trying to get the hang of film-making in Garrys Mod, and this is the result. I hope you like it.

Please note that it's not meant to be super awesome, it's just completely random on purpose.

My entire reason for creating this topic is all conveniently packed into a nice little thread.

Read through it, you will see exactly what I mean. A fairly large amount of the posts he made in there (and there are plenty of them) are not even relevant to the topic which he had himself created.

Off Topic / Some Calculus
« on: August 30, 2009, 02:35:13 PM »
Well, not exactly, it's only part of my Calculus class, but over the summer I had completely forgotten almost everything I knew about mathematics and I could use a bit of a push. I'm stumped with this problem here:

Solve for a:

It seems that no matter which way I approach this problem, I always end up with cb=0, completely eliminating a due to one side coming down to "a-a" somehow. Clearly I'm doing something wrong here but I cannot pinpoint what it is.

I could be missing something completely obvious that could solve the problem quickly, who knows.

So I turned off my laptop for a moment because it was overheating. My laptop runs really loud, it's old. When I did, I heard absolute silence. The neighborhood I live in is next to a freeway, so you can always hear the sound of cars driving past. It's quite loud sometimes. But when I turned off my laptop, I heard nothing. What was even more bizarre was when I looked outside, there was absolutely no air movement whatsoever. No noise, no wind, nothing.

Dead. Silence.

This is really odd, and I'm slightly confused, curious, and freaked out at the same time.

Any thoughts on this?

Off Topic / Avatar was removed?
« on: July 14, 2009, 01:21:30 AM »
It seems that my avatar has been removed.

This is most likely due to the fact that it had profanities on it.

However, a simple "could you please change your avatar" would have sufficed, I would have done so.

I'm no longer able to change it, either.

Off Topic / Why does this not surprise me?

So I finally got my main computer reformatted with Windows Vista on it. Surprise surprise, nothing loving works. Period. I try to use anything, and it gives me the "this has stopped working" bullstuff and tries to "find a solution" for it, even though it never does. I had assumed that completely wiping both hard drives on the thing and putting a fresh install of Windows on it would eliminate any problems that the computer had before. I was horribly wrong. What's even worse, when I try to use Internet Explorer on it to find solutions for the problems myself:
Internet Explorer 7 has stopped working.
Here, let's pretend to find a solution for you.
I can't even use IE7 to get a different browser to use, because Internet Explorer sucks ass, and it won't even hold itself up for me to get to the website for Firefox. So now I'm sitting here on my piece of stuff laptop that can't run anything but Firefox (and OpenTTD, although that has kept me pretty occupied) after having wiped my computer of all my data, only to find out that it hasn't decided to work even after I did so. God loving dammit I hate computers and their bullstuff. I would very much like to thrust a harpoon through mine.

tl;dr: My computer is a pile of bullstuff wrapped in a rich, thick coating of bullstuff.

My gaming computer is officially bricked. No idea what happened, really. This morning I got a couple BSoDs and then I could not get it to function properly after that. Booted it in safe mode, found some malicious files, deleted them, restarted, and the computer now does not function.

I won't be able to play Blockland until the computer is reformatted. Or anything really, for that matter.

I've been working on a skybox to put into a map I'm making. I've got all the images for the skybox sized correctly and I have a resource.dml file sitting in there, with all the image names in order. However, when I open up the map in Blockland, it crashes when it finishes loading the datablocks. I have no idea why this is happening, because all I did was change the images used for the skybox.

We Like To Party Inc.
"Those guys with the sunglasses."

About a month ago, me and a friend of mine began working on a series of random videos that have no point whatsoever. Although not too popular, these videos are well-liked among people we know. We've felt that it may (or may not) be a good idea to post them here, but who gives a stuff anyways? So here are the videos that me and my friend have been producing.

You can check out our channel right here.
Or, if you're a lazy ass, here are the links to our individual videos:

Bench Party

Locked in the Basement

If you like them, cool. If not, who cares? We had fun making them either way. Enjoy.

Games / Spore Galactic Adventures

The first expansion pack to Spore was released on June 23, 2009.
Since I don't feel like writing a full description, here's one already made.
Quote from: IGN
Gamers will experience deeper Space stage gameplay with the first Spore level expansion pack. For the first time, players' space faring creatures will be able to beam down from their spaceships to explore new planets and earn rewards for completing challenging missions. This add-on allows players to beam down to planets, play mission-based adventures and even create their own customized adventures for the first time. Each adventure has a unique reward to upgrade a space creature with special accessories -- from an Energy Blade and Stunning Charm to a Jump Jet and more. Players can fight their way to victory as a Warrior, dance with new friends as a Bard, and much more. A new Adventure Creator will allow players to build and share online their own custom missions, providing almost endless gameplay possibilities.
And some more stuff about it here.

Anyone think this looks good/is worth buying?

I'm surprised how nobody has said anything about him yet. To put it simply, this guy is a loving idiot. Take one look at his irrelevant, idiotic posts and chances are that you'll agree. On top of that, he has a nasty habit of bumping old topics for extremely irrelevant reasons.

Irrelevant Bump
Clusterforget of Idiocy
SEIZURE TIEM! eeeeeeeeeert hbtsrjzzzzz nrtjxtyjmytdtykxsrjyt

Not to mention that he blindly defends certain people who shouldn't be defended, so much so that he would probably walk off a cliff for them.

Now granted, he does make intelligent posts here and there, but these are few and far between.

Arceos: Exploration RPG

Recently, I've been hard at work creating an exploration RPG. I've been hosting it publicly during construction and so far the reception has been nothing but positive. I finished it last night, so I feel it's time to post it in here to show everyone what I've been up to.

Arceos is basically the name of the group of islands in the sky. It's technically seen as a nation, I suppose. In the beginning, you find yourself waking up in a small gazebo-ish structure on a small island named Sanctuary Point. The main goal is basically to find out why these islands exist the way they do, and what happened to the planet they were originally a part of. You do this by clicking around, finding clues, items, and other things to advance through each area. When you complete the tasks provided on one island, you are able to move onto the next via a flying ship.

Enough talking, though. Here are some screenshots showing basically the bulk of the thing.

The RPG is hosted whenever I feel like it, basically.

Some trailers

Trailer 2

Although not required, it would be an advantage to have this map:
Laremere's Skylands

Even though I did the bulk of the work, like the events and most of the building, I still could not have completely done this without a nice group of people supporting it. There were a few who even helped with building certain details and such. Those people are listed here:

Melting Plastic
El Dorito
And many, many beta testers.

Now I'm almost certain I forgot a good amount of people who helped out. If I did, let me know.
Feel free to rate/comment/whatever. Let me know what you think, and be sure to stop by and try it out for yourself!

NOTE: If you should come to test it, be sure that you have download sounds turned on. There are numerous custom sounds that I put together solely for this RPG, so there is a 110% chance that you do not have them, unless you've already stopped by.

Do not ask for a download link. It will not happen.

One more thing. Please note that I do not take kindly to theft. If I find that you've stolen all or some of this build, you will no longer be welcome in my server, and you'll find yourself a permanent spot on my blacklist.

Help / Sounds don't play.
« on: June 13, 2009, 03:48:26 PM »
There's not much else I can say to describe this, really. Some sounds just don't play anymore. Specifically, certain evented sounds and noises made by tools, weapons, and bricks breaking. These sounds have been turning on and off and I honestly don't know what the reason for this is.

Help / Supported Fonts?
« on: June 11, 2009, 01:03:27 AM »
I was wondering if anyone had a list of the fonts that are supported for events in the game, like when you make centerprint text come up. What are all the possible fonts that everyone can see?
