Off Topic / trying to cancel my Orange/EE contract
« on: November 20, 2013, 02:42:29 PM »
Not many people are going to be able to help me with this as I live in the UK but I'll explain it to the British people anyway, because I still need help as I am stuck on what to do.

My contract plan is 1GB of data, 100 minutes and unlimited SMS texts. It's also an iPhone 4s which goes along side the plan.

Now this is where I become stuck, I signed upto a 24 month contract which I am unable to get out of with valid reason, and I don't exactly know what to say as I've signed up to a 'contract'. It might sound stupid me saying 'i want to cancel a contract' but I do.

I don't want to be stuck with this plan for any longer because I want to have a 1-month 'pay as you go' type plan where I can cancel whenever. Plus I want to iPhone 5s, the camera is gorgeous and the FingerID thing is perfection.

Basically, I'm stuck with my stuffty over-priced plan and I need to get it cancelled, any ideas?

Does anyone know where the VCE variables are cached(not saved)? I can't seem to find it out for myself.

Basically, I've got an oral speaking assessment for German tomorrow, and I have only learnt around 3 paragraphs in my total of 6. I have recorded myself speaking out all of the paragraphs but the last three, I cannot remember because I have had loads of things to do over the last two weeks, therefore I was unable to revise for my German.

I've got it in 23 hours, and I've got 6 hours tomorrow doing nothing apart from watching my school production that I am in. I've got the assessment after school, so I've got 6 hours tomorrow to revise 6 paragraphs and know them completely. I'm stuck here. I could do with some advise, because I'm stuffting myself so much right now, because my teacher gave me extra time in the first place so I could revise it. I didn't have the time in that 'extra time'.

I'm either forgeted, unless somebody helps me? Anyone?

Off Topic / How unsecure Craigslist actually is:
« on: April 01, 2013, 07:02:31 AM »
Here I'll be showing you what happened to me yesterday and today with my associations around Craigslist, and this is why you should stay away from this unsecure website.

Right, yesterday I was in a deep urge to get an iPhone 5, since I was supposed to get one when it was released, although I was short on cash and I had to deduct my standards to an iPhone 4S. This was fine because the iPhone 4S was just as beautiful as the iPhone 5, if not better. I looked around on eBay to see if any iPhones were going for a very decent price, around the 200-300 budget, I didn't find a single thing which was immaculate as I'd want it to be, considering I'd be selling my iPhone 4S to get the money. (And my iPhone 4S is immaculate, every time I inspect it, it feels like I had just got it out of the box for its very first time.) I didn't find anything on eBay, and this is where it took me on to looking for one on Craiglist.

Craigslist is popular, I didn't right know about it much during the time I was browsing these really cheap iPhone 5's. I came across this listing which looked so legitimate I would have straight away bought it. I consulted my dad about it since he's usually right. He said it'd have been fake and that Craigslist is a scammers paradise. Meanwhile I ignored him and consulted the seller. Here's what I sent him first:

Quote from: Me to seller
I was wondering if you would be able to give me more information about your iPhone 5's that you're selling because I am looking for one. I live in Sheffield and I shall pay extra for postage and package if you're willing to do that for me. Please contact me further asap please!

E-mail: -removed-

I then quickly got a reply back during the same night with a reply saying this:

Quote from: Seller to me
Sure darren it's still for sale, another indivual is instrested but is offering 220 if you can give me a better offer then I can post it to you
This is where I usually get concerned, due to the lack of information within the email, for example, the casual 'thanks' at the bottom and the 'hey -name-' at the top, and that his formatting was absolutely stuff. I'm not saying I'm great at grammar and spelling myself but I can definitely make myself look capable to send formal emails.

That didn't stop me though, I wrote this and pressed the send button:

Quote from: Me to seller
Could you give me some more pictures? because on the craigslist pictures I can see some scratches on the bezel area. Also could you add a signature on the image too to make sure it isn't a stock image on google? I can't be too sure because Craiglist is much more run down than eBay and I don't want to get scammed. I can't take any risks.

Do you also accept Paypal as a payment? That's the only way I can send payments.

Bobs your tea pot, I sent that and I got a reply the next day with the following email, attached with an image. At this point I thought he was a legitimate seller and that I was going to be negotiating prices with him.

Quote from: Seller to me
Hi darren,
the only scratch is on the bottom as you can see in the image attached, I didnt understand what you meant by add a signature? And sure I understand why, because ebay is much more safer then CL, im 100% legit - my Name is Pat -removed- H -removed- - i live in london, and sure I accept paypal payments- please reply to me with your offer

thanks pat

His formatting of his email got better and he supplied me with a very high quality image, it was completely different in comparison to the other low quality images shown on the Craigslist listing. I then woke up this morning to see that he replied and that he gave me another image, I was happy; I replied to him with this without even thinking. (I was still half asleep so I didn't right think about it.)
Quote from: Me to seller
Hi Pat,
Thanks for your reply, I'm willing to offer you 260, but I can only get that money after I've sold my old phone off, which I can easily get 250 on, would you be able to hold onto it whilst I sell my iPhone on eBay? I'll send you a link to the listing later in the day so you know I'm not wasting your time.

This was an hour before I realized, holy loving stuff, he's probably got that image off Google, because it's so loving high quality! I was right, I then used Google's image searcher.

Searched the image and this was my result:

I was scammed.

I gave him a quick reply and told him this:
Quote from: Me to seller
Hey Pat,

I was looking around on google for an image quite familiar to that and then I came across something quite hilarious, plenty of stock images from Gizmodo and other news websites. Look at the picture in the attachments, thats what it all came up with.

I hope this wasn't a scamming attempt.

Here's the moral of the story... Don't buy anything off Craigslist unless you're 100% certain.

Help / Unable to connect to Blockland's master server and website
« on: March 31, 2013, 09:14:59 AM »
Right, I'm on my iPad right now so don't swap the subject around by asking me that bullstuff.

Basically, I'm unable to connect to Blockland Forums & the Blockland servers, I'm practically stranded. This is what it looks like when it finishes it's attempt to connect to the website:

And it just wont connect on Blockland's window. I don't know what to do.

I've flushed the dns, renewed my local IP and gone through 2 hours worth of diognosing. Any quick help would be appreciated.

-enter horse stuff logo here-

Kong123's Death Race is an exciting new server that features bullets whizzing past your head while driving a twisted, bumpy course. Jeeps crashing into you while avoiding dangerous jumps, bumpy terrain, and steep slopes. This server includes four teams that are distributed evenly. Their task? To win the race of course, but you also get weapons to assist the driver. You'll see action even if you're just a passenger! Players also get the chance to upgrade their weapons at the start of each race with the points they earned the previous race. This server is both original, and provides hours of excitement for the Blockland community.

I'll be accepting and declining applications.

I hate Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, you name it. Here's why.

First instance: #Cut4Bieber - Who the forget would do that, why the forget would that trend around the world? Then I see pictures of people slitting themselves over some 4chan(?) hash-tag, ugh the whole twitter network is full of degenerates who like to put these stupid hoops inside their ears and post forgeted up photos of some disgusting things like stuff all over somebody, hnnng it's loving horrible.

Second instance: Selfies like every single day for the whole loving month, taking pictures of yourself with no top, just for attention, not to show people how you've grown in muscular strength in the last 2 minutes from steroids or stuff, I really don't think facebook cares, if you want to post about your body, make a blog and let people follow you and see that stuff, I added you as a friend, not a follower so I can see your stuffposts. Self photos of yourself 6+ every month is beyond forgeted up, you must be very vain.

Third instance:

forget OFF.

Fourth instance:

This is somebody's profile picture on twitter, he looks like a forgeted up skrillex, he looks like his ruined his whole face with piercings and stuff. His hair also makes him look like an absolute cunt.
^ is a celeb apparently, bad example oops lol

Suggestions & Requests / We need a 2 slot vehicle.
« on: January 03, 2013, 02:12:08 PM »
Right, basically I am in need of a vehicle with these specifications:
  • Decent handling
  • 2 seater
  • Medium speed, nothing too fast or too slow

Although I am not going to use any Karts as their braking isn't the best in the world.

Feel free to give us some vehicles and me and others can try them out.

What are you getting for christmas?

I'm just getting an iPad 4 64gb with LTE capabilities, yes it sounds expensive but I get a 300 discount so it's only 400/500.

And I'm getting some money and clothes:D

Add-Ons / nerraD's add-on dump
« on: October 17, 2012, 01:16:34 PM »
this is where the add-ons I've created go, most of the descriptions are extracted from RTB listings, some add-ons may not work, PM me if the script is in any way glitched or wont execute.

I take constructive criticism to make the scripts I've posted better. You can also request scripts.

Client_QuickEmote ~ 5.25kb
I do not have much space spare keybinds on my keyboard, and the emotions take a lot of space and I barely use them because I forget which key it is all the time. I was thinking of creating a script where you can quickly open the GUI, this GUI having all the emotions which you can click quickly, by holding the keybind assigned to opening the GUI, and when you release the key, it'll close. This is simple stuff, very simple script as it's only like 20 lines, this is nooby stuff.

This is to stop all the keybinds on your keyboard which you may forget, this also saves all the space, rather than using 5 keybinds, you can have one which you have quick access to all of these.

When the key which you'll have binded is held down, it'll pop up this dialog;

and when you release the key, it'll close the dialog/GUI.

This is a poor and easily scripted add-on, I would never intend on releasing it on RTB, one because of the holding tank wait and two because this isn't something to release or be proud of.

Script_ServerFeed ~ 2.12kb
It's simple really. It's a up to date information bar which is used on the Bottom Print bar. This has much more flexibility than you think though. You can toggle whether you want the bar to show the information.

This add-on shows information like your brick count, the overall brick count, the real time and the date. (these may be different depending on your timezone)

I have added features like RTB preferences which many people will be using these days. Ability to un-register the Bottom Print event (requires server restart) and change the tick of how quickly it'll update. (from 200ms to 2000ms).

In updates to slowly come I will make it so that people can customize the bar itself, changing what information they would like to keep on that bar.

Client_ShareRTBAddOn ~ 0.96kb
This script is a simple handy and quick thing which I had made.

You click on a file within the RTB Download Manager and quit out of the overlay send the person the link.

It's simple, you just set your keybinds and you're off.

Client_DistanceKeybind ~ 1.20kb
Practically a quicker and efficient way of changing the Max Draw Distance setting in the Options menu.

This is useful for people with less powerful computers and like to adjust this a lot. This script can be handy on big servers like TTDM battlefields, as they have a stuffload of bricks after time.

This script can quickly adjust the Max Draw Distance, rather than doing several operations to get into the options GUI.

Add-Ons that I may put on this topic in the future -
  • Gamemode_CrumblingStages
  • Support_DirtRebuilder
  • Script_DisablingTools
  • Script_SaveCheckpoint ~ not sure because I think blockland already supports checkpoint saving, i don't really know
