Does anyone remember what this was called? It's a reaction image of sorts in a comic format in which a guy says something presumably stupid and then in the last panel says something along the lines of "Jokes on you guys, I was just kidding!". Need it for something!

Saw a load of videos trying to pull of the Vietnam flash back thing using a clip from an episode in 'It's me or the Dog' but they were all poorly edited/rendered. Made my own:

Off Topic / Can anyone make me a little program?
« on: October 15, 2012, 02:48:28 PM »
I have a music technology course and learning what different frequencies sound like by ear is important. I have no idea how to program, I don't know how difficult it would be to do this, but could someone program something that plays you a random frequency sine wave tone between 100Hz and 10'000 Hz and then says what frequency it was in a Microsoft Sam voice? (Sine wave for sample - Audacity let's you generate sine waves of any frequency)

Would be handy to keep the frequencies to multiples of tens (e.g. some of the frequencies might be 260, then 570, then 10'000). And it would be completely random so I have to guess what the last frequency was before it tells me. This would be REALLY helpful to me. And I would honestly probably pay £5 for it over paypal.

Off Topic / The Vault: Extremely well made indie web series
« on: August 21, 2012, 07:50:53 PM »

The Vault is an indie web series made by two people in their living room using unpaid actors. The Vault is about a TV Show where contestants, who are in seperate rooms cut off from each other must solve a puzzle together to earn a cash prize... But not is all as it seems.  New episodes are being regularly made and the creators are contemplating making a kickstarter to get more funding.

Games / Natural Selection 2 - FPS/RTS Crossover
« on: August 03, 2012, 12:15:19 PM »

Natural Selection 2 is an FPS Shooter RTS in which Human Marines are pitted against the Aliens in a classic RTS situation akin to Starcraft 2. Each team has a commander who gives orders to players, telling them to move to areas and build structures that the commander has layed plans for. The other players all choose a side and get put into a first-person shooter position where they may buy guns that the Commander has researched and fight the aliens. The players are not limited to where they may go but it is wise to follow commander's orders. The commander can influence battles with bonuses such as giving units temporary nano-armor and dropping health packs/weapons. The game runs on their own custom built engine which has great support for modding and has a beautiful dynamic lighting engine.

Games / Single player games with really unique elements to them
« on: June 20, 2012, 05:43:51 PM »
I'm bored. I'm bored of the constant hum of boring, uninteresting games that are released every year. I remember when games were like Jak II and Shadow of the Colossus. Surely, I'm just missing them? But it feels like games have gotten very bland recently.

If anyone can recommend to me some games with really unique points to them. I see real promise in some of the recent indie games that have come out.

Games / I just finished Zelda: OoT for the second time in my life
« on: May 06, 2012, 09:48:25 PM »
The first time was with my Dad when I was 6. Stayed up until 4am to finish it tonight. When the credits finished I couldn't move my arms for some reason. I feel like because of how young I was when I played it it's made it such more of a nostalgic, emotional experience to finish it again.

Also, forget the shadow temple.

Off Topic / What is this freaky occurance of youtube
« on: April 12, 2012, 09:47:53 AM »
So, occasionally if I'm watching a video on youtube and I set it to 480p then fullscreen before it's loaded, it makes this really REALLY strange noise. Here I recorded it so you can see what I'm talking about (I set the volume to low because on full volume that noise is really loving loud):

Games / Post-Apocalyptic Survival Games
« on: April 04, 2012, 02:49:01 PM »
I've been wondering wether this kind of game exists for awhile now. It sounds like a good idea to me. I'm searching for a game similar to games like Fallout 3 and I am Alive in the sense that it's set in a post-apocalyptic environment (Zombies/World disasters) but I need it to be completely free roam. And more about survival instead of the usual 'shooting things till they die then the same with the next wave of enemies'. I want something more based on foraging for food, finding shelter and basically surviving with the left overs of a dead mankind.

If anyone knows of any games like this I would appreciate the info.

Games / Looking for the name of a flash game
« on: February 16, 2012, 08:25:56 AM »
Does anyone remember that ragdoll game where you could spawn weapons like swords and flails and things in a small room and spawn ragdolls? I'm sure there was a topic about it here. You could also spawn a load of bricks as well.
