Say if v21 was cancelled, or if v20 was the final version of BL, where do you think BL would be today along with its community?

Suggestions & Requests / Link to the Hyperion Classic?
« on: June 14, 2019, 04:37:29 PM »
I'm collecting a bunch of older BL vehicles, and I'm looking for the older version of the Hyperion. (before the revamp.) Does anyone have it lying around? The Dropbox link on Filipe's topic about it is dead.

Forum Games / Guess where the quote originates from: the sequel
« on: February 08, 2019, 12:21:57 AM »
Alright, people. You know the deal.  User posts a quote that can be from anywhere, next poster answers or guesses where it originates from, and then it repeats. Alright, I'll go ahead and start with a quote that I've always kinda liked.

"Show me some goddamn respect!"

Games / Oldest game moment you remember/most nostalgic?
« on: January 22, 2019, 11:47:51 PM »
For me, It's ROBLOX. I remember discovering a game called Downhill Derby and playing it for hours on end with all kinds of other players dressed up as the old zombie. (green skin, brown pants, etc.) I can remember some of the cars and the environment as well. It was a sunset down a blocky/rocky brown hill, which had a row of about 9 cars you could enter and would respawn at random intervals if they were destroyed or were abandoned. They were extremely fast and were unstable as hell. They seemed to accelerate at random intervals when entered by a player. (unlike the old roblox vehicles where you had to equip a empty tool named Drive or something like that and hit keys like H or X or Y to drive to where the mouse pointed)
You couldn't control the cars. You just got in, waited for them to drive down the hill, and see what happened. Sometimes you'd veer off and crash, or you'd get lucky and make it to the end and hit a ramp. I even still remember the logo on it. Black ramp, red and white stripes on the edges/sides, and a yellow biker helmet logo on it with a black visor on a red circle.
EDIT: I actually found a vintage YT video on it! It's actually called Motorstorm:Downhill Extreme. Here's the link.

Off Topic / What is it with these stick figure animations?
« on: January 21, 2019, 09:30:18 PM »
I'm seeing these animations all over YouTube with most of the titles being "when x tells you x" or many others. They almost always begin with when. Why are these even popular? It literally looks like there was no effort put into these types of animation.

Quick edit: forgot to put a link for a one of these types of videos. so uh, here.

Games / Give a simple description of the photo the user above posts.
« on: January 11, 2019, 10:20:42 PM »
The rules are simple. Post an image, next user describes in a simple way, (ex. yellow banana with eyes) and posts another image.

don't ask why i made this.

Games / Which game in the GTA series did you find to be the most difficult?
« on: December 28, 2018, 06:30:34 PM »
For me, it was the first one. It felt very challenging and unforgiving at times, and had your character die or get busted in one hit from almost anything, explosions could set you aflame and ensure your fate, and you aren't able to save progress in the levels you were playing on. The worst part was the game wouldn't let you retry missions if you failed them without restarting the entire district/city.

Games / Can anyone help me name this mod for this old game?
« on: December 06, 2018, 10:54:09 PM »
(Just a note before I start, the game's Grand Theft Auto 2, or GTA 2.) I was looking at random gameplay videos for a game this game, and I wanted to see if I could find this mod I saw in the game.. (i've searched anything related to this mod, but can't find it.) I was wondering if someone can name this mod, or recognize the sounds or textures used in them.

Off Topic / Times you remember that sadden you?
« on: May 24, 2018, 11:54:27 PM »
I have some from back in mid 2012, where I knew these 3 to 4 kids, we all knew eachother well, and used to constantly race RC cars with bicycles, play Blockland, GTA 2, etc. on my laptop. We were hanging out almost everyday, and I'll admit. It was probably the most fun I had when I was young. I remember one of my friends invited me in, and we played this birds eye view 3D LEGO game that allowed you to customize your character, and roam around an open world. (Can someone tell me the name of that game?) When I think back to those times, it always saddens me, since I had to move.

Off Topic / Weirdest dream you've had?
« on: May 21, 2018, 10:06:50 PM »
I'll start.
It begins with me in some 2005 Pontiac GTO, along with 3 of my friends, who are in muscle cars, and street cars.
We're flooring it down a street about 15 minutes away from my place, and we're weaving between traffic and stuff racing.
Here's the thing, it felt so loving REAL. I could feel the car rise up and down on curbs I drove onto. I drove onto some grass, and I could feel the car shake and wobble on the rough dirt. Eventually at a corner, I decide "I'm going to try to drift this stuff." I grab the handbrake, pull it and turn sharply. I ended up doing about 3 360s and spinning out. Managed to recover and tried again after recovering some speed. Tried again and smashed head-on into a tree. I decide forget this stuff, and abandon the GTO. Apparently my other 3 friends forgeted up their cars as well, and we were now getting in this RV in this driveway of this unknown house. As we're in, one of my friends explains that someone called the cops, and identified 3 of us (me being 1 of the 3), except one of us, and that we need to lay low. My unidentified friend starts the RV, and we lay on the RV floor covered in blankets, so we wouldn't be seen. My friend is driving me back to my apartment, when all of a sudden, I hear a horn, and the loving RV gets t-boned by a goddamn pickup truck. The RV is now rolling like a loving lunatic, and my friends are all screaming, meanwhile I'm here screaming "WHAT THE forget IS HAPPENING?!" Eventually, the RV stops rolling after about 15 seconds, and my 3 friends are in a daze. I crawl out of a broken window, and sprint towards this tuned GTO this guy is in, it has some sick loving rear bumper, the middle of it had like, some grill on it, and you could see the exhaust pipes, and the inside of the bumper. I drag the guy out, hop in the GTO, and speed off. I was driving for about 30 seconds when I heard sirens. At that moment, my loving heart sank, and cops began to surround me. There were probably around 10 patrol cars surrounding me. One of them for some reason is doing loving donuts around me, and one of the cops is beginning to approach my vehicle.

Then I woke up.

This stuff literally happened this morning.
Strange thing is, I even remember the loving weather and time it took place.
It was evening, around 5 or 6 PM, overcast, and it was slightly raining.

Games / Angriest you've ever been due to a game?
« on: May 20, 2018, 02:36:50 AM »
I'll start.
Accidentally deleting a savegame that I was working on for years, I really was not loving happy. Few days later I realized I backed it up. I lost a little progress since the backup was a few days behind, but nothing much.

Games / What's your favorite dark/eerie game music track?
« on: May 13, 2018, 11:14:22 PM »
For me, probably
POSTAL 1 (orig) OST - Central Park.
here's a link to it because why not

For me, it's the missions and the details. They start off easy, start to become challenging and eventually escalate to near-impossible tasks. There's a lot of detail for GTA 2. Such as muggers, car thieves, people/cops trying to stop muggers, gangs not taking well to muggings, etc.
