Off Topic / Airsoft Gas Gun question

Just a quick question, I am looking at a gas blowback airsoft pistol and want to know how much gas is going to cost me.

•23 mags per magazine
•800ml can of Green Gas available to me

Questions:
- How many shots am I going to get out of that can?
- How many shots am I going to get out of a full load of gas?
- How do I know when a magazine is filled with gas / out of gas?

Off Topic / Router Problems

Hai der you guys, I'm asking for more help instead of going to a tech support forum for help!

So recently I switched to a newer model of router that is able to port forward for Gmod, and it did. However, it decreased DL speed by about 3-4 mbps. It also turned out that it has a lot of problems where it drops the internet sometimes and the default username and password would often not work even after a complete restore to factory defaults.

So I switched back to my old router, and for some reason, instead of a usual 12-13 mbps on that model, I got about 4 mbps. I switched back to the new router and also got around 4. I left it overnight and it got back to around 8 mbps. My sister unplugged the router while it was still on, and when I turned it back on it was back to 4 mbps.



Presently I have it at around 6-7 mbps average (still on the newer model). It drops internet sometimes and seems to have generally less performance than my old router.

HOWEVER, my modem has the send light blinking very infrequently, and when I hook up my computer directly to the modem, I still get a pretty low DL speed.

So my question is, should I try to get a newer modem, should I hook up my old router, or should i do something else? I don't really even know the problem exactly, I would appreciate if somebody could tell me what's going on.

I came back from Boston, and there were 3 things that caught my attention.

Asians and Street performers everywhere. In my general area, mexicans and black people are the secondary race, but in Boston, there were Japanese and Chinese people everywhere, and a few Koreans. I saw one Korean, and he had those puffy korea cheeks and he was all round :D Some of the street performers were impressive. My sister gave a black drummer our home phone number along with a dollar. I wonder why my home phone though. What the hell are we going to do with him when he lives in Boston and I live in New Jersey

richard's Last Resort. Everyone there is a richard, it's the atmosphere of the restaurant. Want crayons? He throws them on your table in a stuffty plastic pencil box. Have any kind of imperfection? Get a hat slammed on your head, exaggeration your imperfection and showing it off to others. My mom got one about bitching a lot, my sister got one concerning the snakees she was drawing all over the table mat (she tried to give it to our waiter, and he wouldnt take it so she threw it at him), and I got one about my long hair. The floor was messy and the food was average, so I guess people go there for a quick meal and verbal abuse.

Wierd Billboards. On the way out of the city, I saw a billboard concerning a gun show, called Guns USA or something. It said on the bottom "We sell guns, no permit required. Criminals and Terrorists welcome!" There were a few others but I forgot those.

Off Topic / Wings = Fan Blades? Aeroscience Question.

I was trying an interesting riddle today, and it didn't turn out as planned, because somebody thought Fan Blades and Wings of an airplane were too different to be called synonyms.

Where I'm coming from:
Wings split the air so that it creates pressure, pushing air below it, keeping the airplane up. Helicopter blades do that same exact thing, correct? They spin, that movement splits the air and pushes it downward, causing lift. I then related that to a fan. Am I correct when I say fans create lift? They push air the same way a helicopter blade and wing do, correct? It's just on a different axis, right?

He says:
Helicopters don't create the same lift that airplane wings do, and fans are a different thing entirely because they don't create lift. Wings keep planes up, fans give us a breeze, therefore they are different things.

Can somebody clarify, and maybe post some official information in case he asks for a source or something similar?

Off Topic / Finding Video Card

My friend is trying to fix Worms Reloaded. I helped him disable one of his cores, because that was one of the causes of lag, but he has a single core processor. Then I decided he should update his Drivers, but he can't find his video card. I tried getting him into device manager and under display adapters, but he couldn't find it. Anybody know how to find your graphics card without Device Manager or taking your computer apart? I have a feeling taking the computer apart wouldn't go well for him :c

A nice chap named Catparty is quite an intriguing fellow. He gives the best of advice in the most certainly perilous of situations! He can be quite a riveting story teller, especially in all your local internet games, and he can read your mind. (word has it he is a fairly decent sniper in TF2 as well)

Now that I've told you that, don't you want to add him? His steam name is Catparty. It would do me a huge favor if you guys added him. You could remove him as soon as you added him if you don't think he is a riveting fellow.

HOLY stuff OUCH! Being the stupid I am, I touched a Thai pepper and all its spicy insidey seeds, then accidentally touched my eye, and holy stuff my eye is on fire D:

Anyway, I started a garden a while ago and have been growing string beans and several kinds of peppers. Jalapeno and Anheim, then the super spicy Thai. Once I freeze them though, they seem to lose some of their spice. The jalapeno actually aren't that spicey at all :\

Discuss peppers.

The new season premiered a while ago. I really don't see it differently from any other reality show, and I wouldn't watch it plainly, but I have to say, watching my brothers watch it and see how they react to how the people in the show react is pretty damn funny.

Off Topic / Computer Problem

A while after I got my new computer with a dual core processor, games like TF2 and L4D2, games that required moderately decent computers to run, ran extremely slowly, skipping sound, running almost at half the speed they should be. I found out that if I went into the processes tab and went to hl2.exe, or l4d2.exe and right clicked and set the affinity to CPU 0 off and CPU 1 on, the game ran fine. Just today, I started the get that skipping sound and slowness again, even though the one core was off. I'm not sure if other games require me to change cores, but I usually do it for most games on the Source engine. Games like HL2 and garrys mod run a little slower if i don't set their affinity.

•Why did I need to set the games to 1 core in the first place?
•Why did the problem rise again today?

So I need a program that can record and edit music. My sister was looking at this and was asking me for a program. I don't know a lot of music programs, so basically what I need is something that can record music in different layers (or whatever you would call them, layers seems like a good word to me though) like in the video.

Games / Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword

That new Zelda game for wii got a name recently, and that name is Skyward Sword. From the pictures currently available, it doesn't look similar to the picture we saw where link's sword was a female ghost thing, but it is infact that game.

Graphics: The graphics look amazing in this game. It has the cartoony cell shading effect that Wind Waker had with the shading and realism that Twilight Princess had.

Gameplay: They really worked motion controls into this one, and I'm a tad disappointed. The game uses wii Motion + to control the sword, so it SHOULD be accurate, but the nunchuck which has limited motion control abilities is used to bring the shield up and shield bash. Hopefully it will work out.

Items: A lot of the new items look pretty unique. There is a whip and a flying beetle that will be of major use in the game, as well as the classic slingshot and bow, and several other items, 11 in total now, but more may come in development.

Release date was said to be in 2011 if I remember correctly.
