EDIT: Locked by, well. request! check the the "RTB is shutting down?" Thread for the most recent content, but i do recommend looking at this for just clicking Xalo's Mass download. sorry for the stupidity, I haven't been on In a long while. Now I've been usually a silent type of person, but I think there is a large amount of confusion, so I might be able to help, not trying to be the source of attention, nor pretending to be a mod.
I'm actually quite surprised that there isn't a topic dedicated to this, I know there is one, but that was a question, and mass confusion.
(made me confused by reading it.)
So I made this nifty topic to help other people. I hope.
RTB Is closing it's doors on march 1st, 2014 questions arise.
1: Is this a joke?
2: if not, is there a replacement?
3: do I have to loving use steam?
4: Can I have everything, please?
5: is blckldn dd
Answers? you can kinda get them.
1: Is this a joke?
Just to clarify a few things, RTB development is over and as you can see it will cease to exist beyond March 1st. As it stands, I won't be playing any part in the future of Blockland's development either. This isn't a trick - I genuinely have no plans for Blockland or RTB.
I'll put together a tarball of all submitted add-ons at some point to make downloading everything easier.
RTB Hosting will continue to exist for the foreseeable future.
No, it's not a joke, Ephi is leaving.
2: Replacement?
Maybe steam workshop, most likely that the devs have a replacement in the works.
3: Do I have to loving use steam?
No, just wait for a while, I'm pretty sure blockland will get the RTB replacement, whilst you wait for that, you can use the forums.
4: Can I have everything, please?
"Please download anything you wish to keep before this date."
I choose all of it.
Xalos made a mass file of everything public on the service, It's a long download though, so do something to occupy your time.
5: bldnand ddd?
No, blockland is not dying. there's always a massive change to a game that's been here for more then a decade, at this point. sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's DDoSes and famous players leaving. the steam release doesn't mark the end, nor the beginning. just another step, really.
I will close this if this become a useless topic. or I will close this by request.
