Modification Help / Can I add a datablock mid-server? [SOLVED]
« on: December 11, 2013, 05:05:11 PM »
Is it possible to add a datablock mid-game without having everyone leave/crash?
I was told to do this...
Code: [Select]
function allReloadDatablocks()
{
messageAll('',"\c6Reloading datablocks...");
for(%i=0;%i<ClientGroup.getCount();%i++)
{
commandToClient(ClientGroup.getObject(%i),'missionPreparePhase1');
commandToClient(ClientGroup.getObject(%i),'missionStartPhase1');
commandToClient(ClientGroup.getObject(%i),'missionPreparePhase2');
commandToClient(ClientGroup.getObject(%i),'missionStartPhase2');
commandToClient(ClientGroup.getObject(%i),'missionStartPhase3');
}
}

But that doesn't actually download the datablock. Is there a way to force datablock redownloading?

AoT General / Level 1 Issues
« on: November 27, 2013, 05:54:45 PM »
Oh boy, this old game again. I don't know why but I always end up finding it quite fun. Anyways, last time I played this game I don't remember having to break the doors in level 1 with your sword. I thought they automatically rose. Anyone know why this is, or if there is a way around it? So far the game seems pretty broken compared to the last time I played it (probably a year ago)

Off Topic / Need good free recording program (2D games)
« on: March 12, 2013, 08:54:09 AM »
I need a good free recording program that can record 2D games. I'd also like to exclude:

FRAPS - Cannot record 2D games
CamStudio - For some reason this is really buggy for me and records all my videos with weird blue static and screwed audio

I've tried some random programs I downloaded on the internet but they normally have huge watermarks that grab more attention than the actual video
Either that or they make the game really laggy

Off Topic / My step-grandfather just died.
« on: February 10, 2013, 04:54:16 AM »
I was up to get a bite of pizza and my dog started barking like mad. I told her to shut up and grabbed her nose and restrained her, but she still woke my mom up. Then my step-grandfather came walking through the hallway from the kitchen with some coffee he was getting and he was trying to tell me something, but it sounded like he was struggling to tell it to me. He was also grabbing onto the desk next to him, trying to keep his balance, but then he fell down. My mom was still yelling because the dog was going mad, and I asked my step-grandfather if he was alright. He replied with a simple "Yeah", but he didn't look fine, so I went and told my mom that he needed help. She called 911 and tried doing CPR on him, but eventually his chest tightened up, made some cracking noises and black liquid started coming out of his mouth. In about 5 minutes after she called 911, they showed up with an ambulance and tried recharging his heart.
Yeah, he's dead.

Off Topic / Rescued Dachshunds
« on: October 11, 2012, 04:46:08 PM »
So today was our school's homecoming day and since I didn't want to go see our crappy school in a football game, I got out of school early at 2:00 and on our way home, we saw a couple of dachshunds wandering down the busy road. We pulled over and called them over right before a car came by, which was lucky because one was just about to get hit. We took them in and one has a collar without a tag. They're both full-breed and look just alike. It seems to be a mother and a daughter who haven't been well fed (Feel real bony on the underside).
We went and checked on all the people who lived on the road we found them on and nobody recognized them, a couple houses nobody was there. We're going to put up signs around the neighborhood to see if any of them are looking for these dogs.

The problem is that I have a stepfather who hates pets and says we should've just let them get run over. If we don't find a home for them I have no idea what we're gonna do

No I'm not going to mail them to you

Modification Help / Remap toggling
« on: August 12, 2012, 10:21:35 PM »
So, I've been needing help with making a function that toggles something with a remap, instead of only works when you hold it down. I thought I could simply make it a toggle function, but apparently not.
Code: [Select]
function rainvigtoggle() {
if($rainvigsch != 0) { cancel($rainvigsch); $rainvigsch = 0; clientCmdSetVignette(0, "0 0 0 0"); }
else { $rainvigsch = schedule(1, 0, "rainvig"); }
}
The above runs the schedule while you are holding the key down. How do I make it so I have to press it down again to turn it off?

Off Topic / DVDs before release?
« on: August 11, 2012, 07:16:48 PM »
Okay, so my mom has a friend at work that goes to a place where she can gets movies on DVD before they're even released. To prove it, I now have hunger games on DVD, and it's not even out yet. How exactly does this even work?

Off Topic / Port forwarding, just with my router
« on: June 09, 2012, 02:27:56 AM »
I completely hate this router I have. I have done every single thing I can to try and portforward, but this router decides to tell me "nope" every time. I've been wanting to host Minecraft servers, but I have to use Hamachi all the time and it sucks. So, what I am asking is, are there any programs or services (free) out there that I can portforward with, that will work with a router that hates me?

Also, if anyone would like to know, my router is an SMC8014WN router.

Off Topic / What would you do with the above item?
« on: May 30, 2012, 03:23:53 PM »
So basically, post what you'd do with the above item. Then, post an item the next person can use, which can be a word or a picture.

Person 1:
I'd eat it.
Nyan cat
Person 2:
I'd take it to the batcavemobile and then eat its tail.

Modification Help / Color Picking
« on: March 25, 2012, 06:32:38 PM »
So, is there an easy way I can create a color picker GUI? I've tried to do it, but failed horribly. The color swatch would only show the channel you were currently editing, and wouldn't show any others until you changed the slider to 0. It would only show alpha if the swatch currently shown was all the way up. So basically, I have no idea how to make a color picker GUI. I'd love if anyone could help.
