 What is it?

It's a work in progress racetrack by me and my friend. Only two pictures because there really isn't much to see.

The first rack I made, testing purposes

Off Topic / A little rant from a thirteen year old.
« on: September 08, 2012, 05:59:30 PM »
Does anyone understand what the world is coming to? Life is just a sick joke now because of our generation of bumbling buffoons with no real righteous bone in their bodies. We’re just pawns in an endless checkmate waiting to be obliterated by the saving grace of apocalypse. But then we are condemned to just live it all over again. Human civilization has been built on this concept, the strong eat the weak and live but the strong implode on themselves, and thus it has been able to survive.

There is no escaping this death trap, this enigmatic maze making master of death that we call Life, this sadistic cruel world we live in is just a pointless figurine to all sane people. Sanity isn’t even a word anymore, we’ve all been corrupted and doomed to an eternity of stupidity and insanity.

Its not worth living, but we’re condemned to living it.

“There's no escaping now, your lives are sealed, your soul is doomed; come on play my lovely pawns, lets have a ball, lets throw the die!”

Is life really worth the life you've been given, or would you rather escape it in some other way than Death itself? Would you agree that we're driven by our eternal lust for destruction, chaos, and calamity? Would you take word from a young guy like me?

Creativity / Do I write good?
« on: September 08, 2012, 01:56:47 PM »
Just finished a little opener for a story about my life in Blockland. I've been having a lot of trouble writing due to not being able to find any other good writers to help me, so I brought my work to Blockland forums. My first post was derailed and well died a catastrophic death, but I hope that this post gets at least a few good pointers on where to go.

Enjoy!

Joxus and Company

I sit in a train station. My old plastic bones and stiff rubber skin now cling to me like a prison. I wear a meager trench coat, to cover up my many scars, blisters, and bruises that rampage across my body. I’ve seen a lot over the years, and as I listen to the quiet chatter of clan members preparing for some kind of war against another clan and the younger men fiddling with their tools trying to straighten them out; I remember my glory days.

The bench I sit on is propped against a long wall, made of sleek metal. The floor, a nice concrete with a bluish tint. People pass me by, all sorts of shapes and sizes and ages, as they hurry off to their respectable trains. I remember the old train station, how it used to look fifty some years ago, but its all a fading memory. Suddenly, I notice a child has moved next to me.

I turn to face him, his small warm radiance I can feel as he stares at me with those compassionate and honest brown eyes. He has a mess of brown hair covered by a little lopsided cloth cap. His clothing consists of a wool jacket and a scarf that he has pulled down to expose his mouth. The air is frosty, and his rosy cheeks glow with the cold. I look at him with my old eyes, deep turquoise eyes that have seen the tests of time.

He asks me a question.

“What are you doing here mister?” he says tentatively. I can feel he’s quite nervous of talking to strangers, probably because of his mother. Out of sight, out of mind.

“Reeling in the years, seeing the sights and remembering the good old days.” I say matter-of-factly. I sigh a bit, I’ve always been a wonder at confusing people.

He stares at me blankly, and then a flash of recognition crosses him. He perks up, and deftly whips out an answer.

“You must be a famous person.” he says, whipping out a small satchel cleverly hidden in his coat. He pulls out a notebook and pen, and tells me; “Write me a story, I can sit here for a while.”

I look at him apprehensively, and he stares back at me a bit blankly. When he starts to see that I may not do as he wants,he flashes me a cheeky little smile, and proffers me the notebook and pen. I grapple the pen with my mechanical hand; the replacement for my tired old hook.

I look at him again, his face so alive and alight with the joy of this moment. Its close to Christmas, for all I know, but this may be a blessing for him and me. With a few deft strokes, I write the title.

Joxus and Company.

The boy watches me, eager to know my secrets. I watch him as I document my story. The words of an era that have passed untouched and unnoticed by this small little soul. I begin the first chapter of my life leaving my parents.

An old build I made way back when, probably between v10 and v12, where I built a whole entire spaceship out of bricks. Square bricks, mind you!

Specs:

Class: Spaceship Tugboat Toruga Class

Engine: Blok Surplus Fusion Core w/ Triplet Cooling

Armament: Twin Cannon placements on either side of roosterpit

Pictures:

Planning to remake this build, it's pretty sloppily done but amazingly innovative.

Clan Discussion / Studes (stoodz)
« on: July 26, 2012, 03:04:26 PM »
Would anyone be interested in helping me take this up as a clan?

STUDES

_______________________________________

The fresh up beat creators of nothing!

History ________________________________________

Simply put, Studes was created in late 2011 as a sort of one way crash course through everything; by Joxus. Me. I wanted to create a little grotto of sorts that centered around the poor people of Blockland and kicking them up the ladder of skill. However, I would need a large fortified fort to defend off the haters and trolls who would. I wrote down the idea of this clan to not forget.

July 2012, here I am; writing this post. I am finally putting this up for grabs because I want to have a co leader at the start. I'm not that ready to lead a clan, but I feel that my loneliness; well rounded building skills; sociability and play time would account for my lacking. Confidence in the Hand, Forever.

About________________________________________

Studes is meant to be a large, soft bodied clan that focuses on creating conglomerates of members within its cellular structure. Basically, a bee hive with little mobs inside that work together. To put together these little guilds, mobs, mafias, groupies, fan base; whatever you want to call it, I appoint this system of tiered hierarchy. This tier system comprises of two classes of people divided into separate tiers of skill.

Example:

Stone Layers - Leader: Forerunner Daniels

Members: Novice Peter, Lil' Mason Nolan, Novice Edmond

As you'll see in the list below, in each separate group of compatriots per say; no one is above the leader in rank. Groups can be appointed as necessary as bonds are formed on projects and groups can merge and dissolve at please

Ranks________________________________________

Each tier is broken into three classes, three tiers and nine classes

Tier One -

Founder(s)

Admins

Moderators

These people at the top of the food chain are appointed for their long service and dedication the the clan. Expectations run high in this sector, and application into these ranks will later get harder as more members join. Maturity, dedication, skill, compassion, and patience are required for Admins. Founders are closed as this clan is taken up by me and maybe others. Moderators are appointed as the largest section of Tier One, being elected to lead and moderate Guilds.

Tier Two

Foremen

Middlemen

Commenmen

These hardy fellows make up the second largest mass of the clan, providing moderate skill and moderate dedication at a moments notice. Foremen have achieved a higher level of skill and are ready to step into a Moderators shoes when he/she becomes inactive or leaves Blockland. Middlemen have been in the clan for a while now and are seasoned with teaching lower classes the grit and grime of building. Middlemen can be appointed as Moderators if giving a lot of good to the community or demoted for abuse of players. Commonmen have just entered high school persay. They've risen through Tier One to achieve a new status as a slightly better player.

Tier Three

Forerunner,

Novice

Lil' Mason

Welcome one and all, you've entered the ring! Here in Tier Three the noobs have made it through the Gates of Hell to achieve a higher level of Hell.  This section of the clan is most flexible, I am allowing even the noobiest to join if they have the consent to try their hardest on a build and PM me. Forerunners are at the top, having rudimentary skill and little dedication, but showing that they can outperform their previous records. Novices are self explanatory, learning under mentors and slowly rising.
Lil' Mason's have a lot of pressure, being kicked around more than most. If you can survive this, you're in the clan.

Mission Statement________________________________________

In Studes, we want everyone to feel belonged and have fun! We may be a bit harsh on you at times, but it's all in the learning process. With Hardships come Success...
We hope to see members in the coming future, and we'd love to find yearning younglings to fill our coffers of empty slots...

How To Apply________________________________________

Studes is a loose fit clan intent on attracting a large range of players. We want players that can show that they have the ability to create something without overspamming their build or stumbling through it like a bumbling idiot.

Usage of 1x1's and 1x1x5's in moderation is OKAY, but if it's the entire build - hell no.

Build must be at least 100 bricks in size, and must be non vulgar. In defense of your public safety.

Exclusive applications for noobies that do not want publicity due to their poor skills can be PM'ed to me. Go ahead, I'm waiting.

Ramadan - a giving back to god persay where a Muslim wakes up before sunrise to eat and then cannot eat after sunrise until sunset. No food or water, and they must do it for one month...

Discuss. Would you try it? I already am going through it right now...

edit: I believe this won't get anywhere fast because the only people who know my pain in a slightly lesser degree are Jewish people and all you Christians uphold Jesus so much you don't care about God. Which, I take is true; and which I think will generate more stuff storm than this deserves... which I proceed to keep posted here.
