Games / Portal 2 gives me Blue Screen of Death

specs:

i have an msi motherboard (don't know what exact one)

processor: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.60 GHz

RAM: 8 GB

gpu: AMD Radeon HD 7700 series

also it crashes as soon as i reach the loading screen showing Glados and Chell

basically what the title says, although it did a BSoD the first time but after that my computer just reboots itself

Games / TF2 crashes when i join a saxton hale server

something else though, when it's not actually saxton hale spawned and it's something like vagineer or whatever, it doens't crash, but as soon as he spawns it crashes

Games / Monitor says "out of range" when i start up Metro 2033

so ya i'm pretty sure that means it starts up in a resolution that my monitor can't support, it think the limit on this monitor is 1280 x 1024 but anyway, how do i fix this


and no i'm not getting a new monitor so don't start that stuff
