Games / Trading Sanctum for games and stuff
« on: December 22, 2013, 06:01:41 PM »
So like thirty minutes after begging for the second time in the Winter Begging thread I realized that I still have two copies of Sanctum which I could trade away for games and/or give for free.
If you don't know what Sanctum is click here or here.
So yeah if anybody is willing to trade Risk of Rain for that then hit me up.

Help / Full version key not being accepted
« on: September 17, 2013, 06:33:46 PM »
So I booted up blockland and for some reason it asked me to enter my key, sure no problem I've got that written down
So I entered the key (and I'm pretty sure I did it correctly, I may just have stuff handwriting) and it says "Full version unlocked!"
...for about one tenth of a second, after which it says "Invalid key"

And then there's this:

This is not just a case of I'm entering the key wrong, because a random piss-about keymash will just get "Invalid Key" rather than a split second of "Full version unlocked!"
So I'm quite confused right now as to whether my key was revoked or something, and would like help regarding the matter.

Does war ever change?

World War Two. The name itself implies horrors beyond imagining. A fight on the global scale, men and women dying by the minute, if not seconds. Fire raining from the skies as though God was pouring judgement for our sins upon us. But whatever God there may have been long abandoned us in this desolate wasteland.

Corpses of buildings, people, and animals, strewn like a child swept his hand across his play table. This is world we live in today. All because of the actions of a few men.

You hear tales of the horrors of the Second World War. Some from those who claim they survived, some who were told by those who say they survived the horrors of that war.

But can anybody truly survive such terrible acts that leave the earth itself weeping, I cannot know.

The war went on for so long.

Some thought it was over when the pre-war nation America lost an entire island to bombings.

Some thought it was over when an old city, "Stalingrad" was stormed, and the advance was halted.

Some thought.

But thoughts aren't always true.

The war continued. Years and years of endless terror, nightly air raids, and disease spreading like wildfire.

The fire burned the whole world to the ground.

And we're left to survive in the ashes. And in this time, you would think that the remnants of humanity would band together, man assisting his fellow man. But still, the national socialists and the Communists kill each other, hanging onto their precious ideologies and faiths.

Hell and back doesn't matter.

At the end of the day man kills his fellow man.

Whether over money, or opinions, or simple petty arguments.

Can either of us be blameless for these crimes?

No.

Because at the end of the day, we're both human. A cold world, left us for dead, and we pushed back.

If this meant killing our "fellow man" then so be it.

"It is perfectly obvious that the whole world is going to hell. The only possible chance that it might not is that we do not attempt to prevent it from doing so." -Robert Oppenheimer

Because when I right click on certain things (.exe, .zip, everything but images and shortcuts) that happens. Also maybe relevant, when I poke around in My Computer and right-click

(Where the "open" button should be)
That happens. Everything else seems to be in order (I don't know I can't read Chinese) but the fact that I can't right-click most things is really distressing me.

So can anybody help me out or is this gonna be like a "download MalwareBytes and run a scan" thing

Apocalypse 1789
1789
New England

Backstory:

The year's 1789 and the world has been strucken with a plague, not of that which merely kills a man. But brings him back from the dead, craving the flesh of his neighbours and friends, and even his family. This plague is known as, "Rotting Famine." Personally not what I would have name it but anyways... It sprouted in Europe where it travelled to North and South America, the way this happened is the dead travelled through the seas, whatever bodys made it had reached American soil had by then waltzed onward and taken bites out of anything living.

The dead aren't those that run or jump, they can't climb either. They walk and crawl. There are none that pick up objects and throw them, or ones who grab you with their tongues, there are ones that grab you with their hands and bit chunks into your flesh. You can't just kill them by chopping off a number of limbs or so excluding the head. A hole, cut or big enough crater in the head which reachs the brain ends these creatures as they normally would. Classic horror zombies.

Animals are not affected by the plague, all excluding pigs. Yes, pig have the ability to return from the dead. Now that we have that cleared lets step into Boston, a rather renown city for some americans is it not? Well right now it's a warzone between man and undead/undead pigs. The forests are the safest place in the Boston area, although still having quite a bit of zombies. And now, we introduce you, go on and copy and paste that character format. Please.

1. No asspulling - Asspulling means pulling a loving armory out of your ass and stuff.
2. No Powergaming - When your encountering another player, don't suddenly become superman and punch them to the moon.
3. No Metagaming - Don't suddenly know something that's OOC, that's just horsestuff.

6. Don't be OOCly tribal or prejudice on the thread - I don't wanna hear it, you can go and gossip with your friends on how you don't like asians or something but I don't want you to discriminate a race on this thread, you're not cool because you don't like black people.
7. This isn't Assassins Creed - You're not Altair or Ezio, you can't do leaps of faith or any of that, climbing on rooftops is understandable but I don't want you bouncing from rooftop to rooftop and jumping skyscrapers in a single bound. Don't do it.
8. Think before you post - Think before posting something, if you don't this can end really badly for you.
9. At least TRY to spell stuff correctly - I don't want people purposely using the vocabulary of someone who was repeatedly dropped on his head, if you don't have that good grammar and are known to not have that good of grammar then this can be excused, but at least try to spell correctly under these circumstances.

Forum Games / Pantheon Project - Pixel art is for no-skill heathens
« on: October 06, 2012, 02:00:09 PM »
The Pantheon Project
The Pantheon Project is a government funded project to design and create a series of sentient robots. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Iota, Kappa, Lambda, Mu, Nu, Xi, Omicron, Pi, Rho, Sigma, Upsilon, Phi, Chi, Psi, and Omega.
The leaders of the Project, Dr. Pollard and Dr. Caseil, worked very closely on the project, and everything seemed to be going fine...

You awaken in a dark room. Jesus richard does your head hurt. You begin to wonder what happened, ringing in your ears. You also appear to be lying in a puddle of some sort of liquid. You are too dazed to actually know what it is, but it smells like iron. I look around the room, causing your head to spin. There are several dark shapes you really can't recognize, but they seem to be around your size. You notice some slight red flashing through a slit of light. How odd.
What do you do?

Games / Airmech - A mix of RTS and shooter and transforming mechs
« on: July 30, 2012, 01:32:48 PM »

Link to the download monday. Click it.

So what's this?
Airmech is a mixture of RTS and shooter, in which you control a transforming mech which you can use to transport units, engage in dogfights, and support your creeps. It is currently in beta, and looks to have a F2P model where you can buy new units, and most Airmechs are cosmetic variants, and you can purchase other cosmetic items for tracers on bullets, and I assume engine flare. Most units can be purchased with Kudos (in-game currency, earned from battles), diamonds (paid currency), or just straight up money.

So is the game any good?
Well, it's fun, and I imagine it's rather hectic when you play 3 v 3.

Is it hard?
1 v 1 AI is absolute stuff, but I imagine the players are more competent. It certainly isn't going to screw you over and kill you if you move one unit into the wrong place.

Let's see some media.
Got it:

Teaser Trailer wooo
TB's WTF Is... of the game
Husky Starcraft's play of the game

At this time the screenshots are a bit outdated, there are more units in-game than are shown.

Yes, I'm serious. Somehow, windows has stopped responding. I'm not even sure how that's possible. The problem started after I alt + tabbed out of SR3 on accident instead of pressing shift + tab. I was fairly sure the problem would resolve itself, so I simply alt + tabbed back into SR3, and when I finished, windows still wasn't responding. Everything else, steam, skype, browser, etc. were all fine, but the desktop itself was literally frozen. As was the taskbar, which meant I had to manually shut down my computer.
After turning this thing back on, which may or may not have released another link from the iron chains binding the dark god, I opened my browser again, and was met with a bunch of gibberish and odd symbols. Not like, insane alien writing odd symbols, like unicode and lack thereof types of symbols. Problem was solved by closing the browser blah blah blah, nothing else appears to be affected by whatever the balls caused this to happen.

I'll be honest with you, I'm actually kinda scared right now, for two reasons
One, I have no idea how to explain this stuff
Two, I'm afraid my computer will suddenly explode in my face

So yeah, can somebody explain to me how this is possible at all, and what might've caused it?

Also there's a bunch of magnets like a foot and a half away from my computer, that might have something to do with it maybe.

This is freaking amazing.

Basically, it's a bunch of TV shows that somehow begin bleeding into each other, and well, chaos ensues. Just watch the damn thing. I'm also surprised at the diversity of the art styles.

I'm livestreaming things, for no reason other than to whore myself out for no reason your entertainment.

This week:
I suck at Fallout 3 - Commentary courtesy of Carolcat, Skyfrost, Facepalm, and more Skyfrost.

Now go watch it.

By the way, the mods are all of them.
All of the DLC.

Games / ARES: Extinction Agenda - Not the BL clan
« on: March 13, 2012, 08:05:29 PM »
Some logo thing go

What ARES: Extinction Agenda is
It's a game where you run around as a military robot and go around shooting robots and collect their organs- er robot parts and then use said robot parts to make stuff that repairs your robot parts and you have a station that is represented as a chick in a super-tight skin-suit an- ARRRGH
But yeah, it's a pretty good game. It's cheap, for only $10, and it went on sale some time ago and such
It grades you based on your performance, so OCD players will have a loooong time on this game.
You can find it on steam, again, for ten bucks.

Media and stuff

Oh hey spoilers

THE DAY AFTER: SECOND HELL

Noteth: 1 cm = 5 kilometers
Black means unexplored, and stay out
Grey means the place is trashed, toppled buildings everywhere, mutants and ghouls may start here
Dark grey means very hazardous, mutants and ghouls may start here
Light grey means safe-ish, humans may start here

On Saturday, February 26, I will no longer accept characters.
"But I don't have time to make a character."
Then you probably won't have time to participate in this thread. There will be no exceptions.

The world has been subject to a massive economic collapse, oil has run out, and alternative energy sources are not working enough. A global thermonuclear war occured, annihilating almost all of humanity.
Almost a decade after those events, small villages of scraps have been built. Mutants frequently attack villages, and almost no new technology has been developed. Everything has gone to hell, almost no new trees sprout, and those that do, die almost immediately. Radiation poisoning is incredibly common, and few humans even walk the earth.
Welcome to hell.

Off Topic / Oh god, my internal ear system is loving up
« on: February 18, 2012, 04:40:29 PM »
A few minutes ago, I had this sudden sense of dizzyness, and my vision was tilted to the side. I would assume this is caused by the internal ear stuff loving the hell up.
Now there's a high-pitched sound in my left ear, and only that one.

Is this going to just pass, or should I see a doctor?
